"I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants all over the country, including some of the most famous places in New York, Philadelphia and Seattle. But Sushi King has been my favorite for many, many years. The wait staff are super friendly, as are the sushi chefs. We're always greeted when we arrive and when we leave. We love sitting at the sushi bar because we enjoy watching the sushi being prepared. They have a great selection of fish and shellfish, and the rolls are outstanding. Everything always is so fresh. Standouts are the sea urchin, tuna belly, giant clam and scallop. If you want something other than sushi, the Yellowtail chin is exceptional. We go to Sushi King as ofter as we can."
"I came by with friends before a concert at Merriweather. We picked the restaurant randomly but I was surprised by the quality from the moment we walked in. The servers are extremely kind and welcoming, and the decor makes you feel like you're in a real sushi house. The sushi was amazing. High quality ingredients, well prepared, and good prices. Some of our group got non-sushi dishes too, and they came with salad and miso soup. The quality was high and again, it seemed like a great deal for the price. I wished I lived closer because this would become a go-to for me!"

"We found this spot by accident, and we were very lucky. Everyone was extremely helpful in explaining the options as well as what to order. We were concerned about price to portion ratio, but we were wrong. Plenty of food with great taste and tons of options. I'd recommend this place to anyone."
"Came here for a Friday date night and it was packed! We were seated within 5 mins and had great service from server Victoria. We ordered edamame and gyoza which were both great. The gyoza was pan fried so not too oily. Edamame was warm and salted nicely. The rolls were all good sizes (8 pieces) and very tasty. Our server even brought us a complimentary bite-sized cheesecake with our bill. Overall excellent food and service."
"Terrific lunch special. Three of us dropped in for the lunch special. The restaurant is narrow but bright and clean in appearance. Service was fine. All of us went with the lunch special. It came with miso soup, Asian salad and three rolls from a list of 23. (See photo for list) Green tea was extra. Popular at our table were: tuna roll, candy cane roll, crazy volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and avocado roll. Pretty inexpensive we all thought."
"When am I in the mood for dim sum? Always! Every day of the week! And that is just one reason why I love Mai Dragon: they're open for dim sum not just on the weekends but during the week! And the food. Ohhh the food I love that I can get solid dim sum in sleepy, suburban MD. From steamed bao and dumplings, to baked/fried goodies, to veggies and noodles, I cannot get enough Mai Dragon. I love that I can get any taste satisfied: savory, sweet, saucy or plain, crispy or soft...The Hong Kong-style with the carts is so fun and I never leave hungry or j satisfied. There's a good reason why this place is always packed. (Pro tip: go early!) Incase it's not clear, I love this place!"
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blue Sunday, and I can confidently say it's a gem worth visiting! I appreciate them being able to sit a party of 12 without prior notice. The food is absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. From appetizers to dessert, everything was thoughtfully crafted and tasted amazing. What truly sets Blue Sunday apart, though, is the incredible customer service. Big shout out to my waiter Gavrielle. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was flawless. Whether it was helping us navigate the menu or checking in to ensure everything was to our liking, their kindness and professionalism truly stood out.If you're looking for a place with exceptional food and top-notch service, Blue Sunday is the spot. Highly recommended!#EatGoodAndBeHappy"
"It's Hibachi. You know what you're getting into when you go here. You're paying for the experience and less about the food. It is no different than any other Hibachi place. So for that, I got my money's worth even if the food was average. The servers were hands off and I did not notice if anyone got refills at our table. Usually in places like this, the server is all over you. I hear Happy Hours are great here though, so I'm encouraged to try their happy hour some time."
"The nigiri sushi is excellent! The fish is fresh and tender. Other items aren't on the level of the nigiri sushi. The veggie roll is kind of sweet. The spicy tuna roll I guess was pretty good if you like spicy tuna. The seafood udon wasn't that great--soggy noodles and tough seafood. I would definitely return for the nigiri sushi and maybe some of the rolls but would exercise caution with the other dishes. They also have tempura Oreos which are interesting and kind of tasty but greasy, not too surprisingly. Staff is very nice and friendly. They even let us have a free sample of the tempura Oreos!"
"Delicious food, Great Low Prices [Glen Burnie MD]After a long day in DC we returned to Baltimore where we were currently staying and found this gem of a restaurant from searching Yelp. It was pretty slow on a Sunday evening and the restaurant just had one other party dining when we arrived around 6:00p but it started to fill up around the time we finished. The menu had a lot to offer with an extensive selection of sushi and specialty rolls. We went for their entrees and noddles and ordered Shrimp Tempura appetizer (assorted shrimp and vegetable), Steak Teriyaki (including white rice, miso soup, house salad), Shrimp Tempura Udon, and for dessert we shared a Fried Banana with Ice cream. Everything was delicious and enjoyable. The restaurant is clean with booth and table seating. There is also a sushi bar as you enter the dining area. Customer service was excellent and the prices were something you won't find in California where we would've paid double (not including tip). Our tummies were happy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Review #3663"
"The food, dessert choices , service and staff are excellent ! The $25 price is well worth it , also great place for birthday celebration.Atmosphere is beautiful along with great music playing in the background."
"small restaurant but great food and great hospitality! Would come again. wished they had more individual nigiri options but they do have sushi+nigiri dinner sets"

10/10 recommend, potentially some of the best sushi I've ever had! Ordered miso soup, salad, california roll, crunch roll, gyoza, and teriyaki chicken. The fish is fresh and you can tell they use quality ingredients that are very flavorful. The service was fantastic, very friendly, prompt, food came out fast and very hot. You wouldn't expect from the outside but the inside is very cute.

Will 100% be coming back! Decided to stop in for lunch after shopping at Columbia Mall nearby, and what an amazing decision that was. This Japanese spot is a little tucked away, but that means it has really nice views of a small lake and lots of sun coming in the large windows, which sets up a nice afternoon vibe. We had the gyoza as an appetizer, multiple rolls, as well as the tempura udon. The sushi was to die for - the salmon roll was fresh and amazing. The udon had great flavor as well and a very healthy amount of noodles. Can't stop thinking about this place and will recommend to anyone and everyone!

It's been so long since I've had authentic Korean barbecue but this hit the spot! I was a bit skeptical about driving out to Ellicott City, but it was worth the drive. Also, the marketplace and other storefronts in the strip mall add to the whole reason to visit. Anyways, the food was DELICIOUS! Seriously, any place where they bring you the banchan without asking and cook right on the table is a win. The bulgogi is so tender and tasty. We ordered wayyy too much, but it's not like I'm going to complain about having leftover jap chae for lunch. A definite must visit!

Stumbled on this quaint local spot while we were in Annapolis running errands. Service - need to work on speed, we sat for about 20 mins before the server came by to take our order. Food - was on point. The seaweed salad was delicious. The sushi we ordered was fresh and prepared to order. Teriyaki chicken and salmon were tasty.Definitely will go back!

If you are in the Hampden area and want some really good sushi, Yama Sushi Bar is the place. Please do not let the strip mall exterior deter you away from this place, the sushi and service is excellent. Their menu is pretty extensive with a great variety to choose from. Also they give complimentary samples of sushi and other treats with each visit which is nice, gives you a chance to try something different to order next time. Definitely will return the next time I am in Hampden

One of the places I miss the most since relocating to West Coast is eating dim sum at Mai Dragon. So many of the important milestones, Sunday lunch with my mom, and celebration meals were enjoyed here. Every plates are prepared with care and just right. The service is prompt and attentive. I've never had anything that tasted overcooked or tepid. I didn't know that was a thing until I had some lousy dim sum experience recently. Mai Dragon is precisely the reason why I have been so spoiled for years. If and when I am back in the area, I know for certain to at least come by twice!

I can only speak for the Happy Hour, because both times I've been here I came for Happy Hour - but both times it was great. Service was fast, our waiters were friendly, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable. On my last visit, I had the Caesar Salad (which was very large) and the crispy chicken wings. Both were good! The wings sort of reminded me of a better version of your classic carryout wings (like a 4 piece without the mambo sauce). I also had a margarita and it was good - nothing special, just like a regular margarita. The inside is nice - with a mix of booths & high top tables in the bar area. They played a good mix of 2000s R&B music, and clientele seemed to be mainly middle-aged, with some younger clientele sprinkled in. Overall I would definitely come here again.

Stopped by Masa for a quick bite before a movie. Located in downtown Silver Spring above the Matchbox, across from Uniqlo. Lovely purple and green theme with some unique art and fixtures on the walls. Wraparound bar in the main area with window booth seating as well. Also a large hibachi table area for parties and events. I've been before and it was great but this was a standout visit food and service wise. Ordered the pork gyoza, a spicy tuna roll, and the lucky 7 roll to split. Easily enough food for 2 people. Best gyoza I've had in forever. Beautiful presentation for both dishes as well. Loved the extra touch. Didn't get hibachi this time but would definitely recommend as the other two times I've come and ordered it was great. Lan our server was phenomenal. Attentive, friendly, gave us great recommendations for drinks and food. Really made an already great experience perfect.

"Namani is low key one of the best and most consistent sushi places in Baltimore. This place has a great central location right next to Vino so wine can be had before or after your meal, but Namani also has a great sake and beer selection (not to mention champagne by the bottle so I that's always a win for me)You can sit at the bar and watch you sushi be made or enjoy the Kotatsu tables (and with the traditional seating you will have to take off your shoes). They also have regular tables in the middle of their space. But no matter where you sit you will get great service.I have made my way through most of the sushi menu, trying a new roll every visit and I have never been disappointed. (get the fatty Salmon!!)"
"We used to go to Red Maple regularly. There were some minor irritations but the service and food were good. Then staff changed and along came Covid and we stopped going there. Recently our favorite Chinese restaurant closed and we hadn't been able to find a replacement. Rich suggested we give Red Maple a try again. On a Sunday afternoon it was quiet when we got there. We got a seat in a booth in the bar. It's usually quiet in the bar area and we like to sit in a booth. A waiter came shortly and brought us water and took our drink orders. Rich had a tall beer and I had a Mai Thai. They have delicious Mai Thai complete with an umbrella, orange slice or more recently a slice of star fruit. Our first time back I ordered the salmon tempura with miso soup and Spanish rice. Miso soup can be very bland but their's is very good. The salmon came on a sizzling platter with sliced onions and peppers. Much like a fajita platter, delicious. Rich had Pad Thai and he liked it but it was not my favorite. Our second trip I had the chicken teriyaki and it was very good but I preferred the salmon. And on our third trip I had chicken lo mein. The portion was huge! I ate until I was full and we took the rest home and shared it for dinner. On our second visit Rich had a bento box but decided on our third visit the salmon teriyaki was the way to go. There service was perfect. We had a waiter the first visit and waitresses the second and third. It was nice to have good experiences at Red Maple and it has been added back into our regular rotation of favorite restaurants."
"I was visiting my mom in Maryland, and this is one of her favorite neighborhood spots. The quality has improved since my last visit. Tempura was nicely done. The sushi was fresh, and their was not too much rice. The short ribs were tender and flavorful. And bonus, they have half-price sushi weekday afternoons. A big variety at a great value. Also, the service was fast and courteous."
"Service here was quick. Kiosk ordering only- no speaking with the service members. Made it difficult to decide what to get with it being my first time there The food was decent- I liked the dumplings and egg rolls. I got a sushi-rito and it was just okay to me- tasted more of the seaweed than the pork and toppings inside. Next time I would get a bowl for sure, they looked great."
"Let me tell you about J&Y Tokyo Market! I always thought this was an Asian grocery store, and perhaps at one time it might have been. The building is so unassuming from the street that it is very easy to pass this gem and never experience this treasure! No, in October 2022, it is a wonderful sit down or carry out style Asian restaurant. We ordered several items to be served at the same time, including Pork Dumpling Gyoza, Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and a Rt. 26 Roll. I can't say enough nice things about this meal. The service was excellent, courteous, and timely. I think the server brought an additional roll we hadn't ordered. When we attempted to return it, we were advised it was complimentary. The food quality and plate presentation were impressive. The service was on point. We will definitely return."
"We had a great time. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated at the hibachi. The chef was friendly and kept everyone engaged. The food was very tasty. The Steak and Lobster combo was delicious. My steak was slightly overcooked but the lobster was perfectly cooked. The restaurant offers a kids menu aswell as lunch specials. I highly recommend this location for date night, birthday dinner, or casual lunch . It is kid friendly. I would definitely visit again. I highly recommend."
"This restaurant is on the smaller side but in the best way. You are immediately greeted with a warm welcome as you enter, truly feels like home! The service is so fast but they give you plenty of time to look things over, there is no rushed feeling what so ever. The menu is pretty big but I've never disliked a roll here! The garlic roll was so different and delicious! The vegetable fried rice had a Smokey taste which I liked but it was surprising! Overall such a great place to dine or take out!"
"There is a lot to choose from the menu. You have the classic Asian dishes and sushi. Even though it was a Sunday, they let us order the Beef with Broccoli from the lunch combo menu which included a soup and spring roll. We also ordered the Happy Family which has shrimp, scallops, chicken, and beef with mixed vegetables in brown sauce. Food and service were very good. Plenty of free parking."
"Sushi Sumo is always a great place to dine in or take out for sushi. It's definitely in the rotation of places I visit near me. I love that they have weekly specials that are seriously discounted! The lovey dovey roll was one of them this time. Packed on the inside and outside and filled with a creamy yet Smokey flavor. The hairy Mexican is a staple and never disspoints here.I got a few of the more basic rolls like sweet potato which was deliciously simple. I ordered a crunchy spicy tuna and the description states crunchy flakes on the outside however it wasn't the case this time. A mistake in description didn't take away for the yummy rolls though!"
"started out a tiny bit skeptical due to the prices - the portions are HUGE!agedashi tofu was good, my first time trying it though so i won't rate ittuna mango avocado roll - for 8.99 my expectations weren't huge but the roll was massive, more like a gimbap. it was a little harder to eat but yummy.sashimi deluxe - the cuts were pretty generous and the waiter helped us identify all the fish :)burrito - my dad finished half and was already pretty full the restaurant is cozy and warm, really enjoyed my meal and will definitely order less next time their portions are huge"
"**Sake Japanese Steakhouse Review - Glen Burnie**Sake Japanese Steakhouse in Glen Burnie remains one of my favorite restaurants, even after several years. Recently, my family and I had a particularly eventful day and decided to order takeout from Sake. Our order included:- 3 Sake Wings - $15.00- Vegetable Tempura - $6.00- French Fries - $2.50- Baltimore Roll - $4.25- Philadelphia Roll - $3.25- Children's Meal 10.95The food was as delicious as it is when dining in. The Sake Wings were flavorful and perfectly cooked, the Vegetable Tempura was crispy and light, and the sushi rolls were fresh and tasty. Even the French Fries, a non-traditional item for a Japanese steakhouse, were well-executed. I highly recommend Sake Japanese Steakhouse for both dine-in and takeout. It continues to be a reliable choice for great food and excellent service."
"I just added sushi to my personal menu options (I know, I know) I can't believe it either. It's been a slow progression though.I have gotten takeout a few times, and it's fantastic. Now, just because I started enjoying sushi... I haven't dove right in. My fave is a fried sweet potato roll. They are fantastic here, for sure!!I call ahead and orders have been ready when I arrive. Service is super quick. There's no seating on the main level. Parking is easy on the street and you can run in and out. Give it a try!!"
"Things got out of hand...We ate a bunch of dead fish. We liked it. You should eat dead raw fish at this place of business."
"It's a very healthy delicious Chinese restaurant in Baltimore county. Easy parking right outside the place. It's mainly a take out place. However they do have a nice dining area. And a sushi bar. It's BYOB and dining room is pretty boring however i have seen them have big groups and they serjed to have a good fun vibe going on. Food is great. No MSG. And everything super fresh Orange chicken was great - it's all white meat with Judy right amount of batter. Cooked in perfect sauce. I got vegetables soup. Great. Fresh. And sashimi platter. I added octopus salad. It did lack seasoning but i loved it just plain and simple. You get cucumber salad with a piece of avocado before your meal. And that salad - omg was amazing. One of the Best healthy delicious Chinese and Japanese spot in the area"
"You remember that old saying of don't judge a book by its cover....well this is that place you shouldn't judge by the outside. From the outside you may not think they would have amazing sushi, well I am here to tell you it is great!! They have several different rolls you can choose from and they have specials during the week you can look out for. Thursday's are the half off specialty rolls which is a great perk!! They do offer lunch specials that offer a ton of food also! I have ordered to go several times and they will make sure to package your food with care!! I have ordered from here several times and have even ate inside twice. They have seating close by the area the employees that roll the sushi and there is seating on the opposite side as well. They also have some limited outdoor seating as well. I took a star off because sometimes the owners kid is there and is back behind the counter doing things I would think shouldn't be allowed in an establishment. Also during the cold months if you sit on the side furthest from where you order, the have blowing heaters, so if you are cold natured it may be chilly in that section as the heater doesn't blow in all directions. All in all this is a great location. The people behind the counter are pleasant and make sure to take care of you."
"Love the ambiance of this restaurant even on a Tuesday night. A perfect date night spot, even though I went with some friends. The star of the show was the braised pork belly appetizer; it was sweet, savory, tender, with so much flavor in a single bite. I wish there was a meal with this same meat and rice! The chili garlic edamame was amazing too! The sushi was good too, some rolls were better than others, but I wish there was a larger menu. There's only a handful of chef rolls. Drinks were strong so you're getting your moneys worth! Overall, had a good time and will be coming back!"
"The food was very good! My favorite was the General Tso's shrimp. I was able to try about almost everything my family ordered and no complaints. The presentation was also very nice to look at."
"My kids & I love this establishment. The owners are extremely professional and very courteous. They actually know us by our first names and love to strike up a good conversation. Some of our favorites:-Mango Martini-House lo mein (spicy)-Teriyaki steak served with veggies, potatoes and rice-Pan fried gyoza (dumplings)-Wonton soup ( made with real chicken breast)-Fried rice-chicken noodle soupThis is more like a Asian fusion restaurant as they serve Thai, Chinese and Japanese cuisine."
"East Moon is always delicious. I love the fact that the food is good when you eat in and order delivery. The service is usually fast and my order is usually correct. Great dinner spot! All of the East Moon locations have beautiful decor, perfect for a family dinner or date night."
"This restaurant charges a service fee of about 10%, which was not disclosed to us beforehand and is not on the menu/website. I was disappointed to see an additional $15 added to my bill that did not count toward the gratuity."
"I was kind of craving a bento box from a Japanese but did not want to pay a premium ($18+) and did not want to travel far from the Hyattsville area. So I decided to give this place a try since it's close, has pretty good reviews and the prices seemed reasonable. I got the combination teriyaki bento to go and it included shrimp, chicken, and beef teriyaki with 4 california rolls and house salad (ginger dressing). I paid around $12 total, which wasn't bad for the combination one. They didn't have any miso soup or any types of soup in general except for Pho, which I thought was kind of odd. But realized they weren't a full out Japanese restaurant. It's more similar to those quick Japanese teriyaki places in the mall. Anyways, the portion was pretty good and the teriyaki was flavorful- just the right amount of sauce. I wish the california roll was less dry, however. Overall, this place is not bad and could be the place for me to stop by whenever I want quick teriyaki."
"Yall why do you keep saying they are the place to go for sushi?? Im not seeing it. The bar food is great, burgers, chicken tenders etc. but the sushi?? maybe go to an actual sushi place because every roll I have had there was meh.outside of my problem with the sushi Smaltimore is a good bar. Menu is good they have fun bar games/events and a lot of TVs if you are looking to watch a game. go here to grab drinks with friends maybe just dont get the sushi"
"My wife and I took my Mom here for her birthday. Short and sweet, it was a wonderful experience. We ordered a dozen oysters, 6 Mayfield from MA and 6 Local Chesapeake oysters. Both were wonderful, but the Mayfields were incredible. We also split the octopus side. The octopus was tender with a light char and the marinara sauce was a perfect compliment. And finally we also split a single crab cake. Honestly, one of the best I've had. The crab was sweet and buttery. And it was all held together by hopes and dreams, because there was basically no filler at all!We all had the Dry Aged bone in ribeye, ordered rare, and a baked potato. The meat was perfectly cooked. Had just the right kind of "gameyness" for dry aged beef. And was tender and absolutely delicious. Honestly the texture was closer to that of a Filet. Even the potato was delicious. Our server, BrittanyH deserves a special shout out too. She was attentive, not pushy at all. There was no feeling of being rushed out. In fact, we were there during the running of the Preakness, we were just about finished with our meal and got up to watch the race. She put a note on our table stating "Do not bus" I feel it's important to note this only because it's the level of service you simply don't see often anymore. She didn't need to do that, we didn't ask, our plates looked finished. But she did it in case we wanted another bite. It's the kind of thoughtfulness that seems so rare anywhere today, let alone in a restaurant.Overall, this was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend anyone that thinks they may want to try to go. And we will absolutely be back soon."
