The ambiance was perfect. the waiter, James was knowledge about the menu and made good recommendations for food and desert. He got busy by the end of the service. The manager rushed our bill to us like it was time to leave. The food was fresh for the most part. We noticed the sides like the rice seemed to be made from a box mix. They were not hot. We were the first ones in the restaurant for dinner service. The Calamari was a little bit greasy like it wasn't drained properly. Overall, the restaurant was pretty and clean."

The two sauces were perfectly paired. The food was prepared nicely, and we could relax and enjoy the meal. It was a great place to stop and enjoy lunch. The only knocks I would have on the place are it is a bit loud (when it's a meal rush and there are many people at the bar) and parking is difficult. They are in a corner spot of a strip mall that is heavily trafficked, and finding a spot is hard."

My dad and I were in the area bc we had stopped at Martin's to see the Christmas train garden. I suggested we hit up Carson's for lunch since it is just down the street. Everything about our visit was great, and we are already talking about our next visit! Service was prompt and friendly; we were there at noon on the Wed before Christmas, and people were steadily coming in. We both ordered off of the winter 10 for $15 menu. I tried the fried cod w coleslaw, and subbed a cup of cream of crab for my fries for $4. My dad got the pot roast w the veg of the day, fresh green beans. Portions were large and delicious. We were starving so no leftovers, but ordinarily meals of this size would have warranted to-go containers.Desserts offered sounded delicious but we were just too full. Diandra L. "I am completely enamored with everything about The Prime Rib. One walk up the steps into the dining room that is adorned with leopard print carpet and a live piano player, I knew that I was in a place I would enjoy. We opted to sit at the bar, and Dan and Austin took care of us. At around 6:30 on a Sunday this bar was absolutely popping. Thankfully, a large party at the bar had a table resi so we snagged seats in the corner of the bar and began a lovely journey of martinis, carbs and of course prime rib.We started with the house salad which was great. We also split what I heard was one of their most popular dishes - a potato skin basket. I am unsure how I lived 36 years of life without ever experiencing such a thing. Who doesn't want perfectly crispy potatoes to be topped with horseradish and sour cream? It was DIVINE.On to the main - we opted to split the prime rib. It's a hefty 14 oz portion so you definitely want to share. There are a variety of sauces you can have with your entrees here, and we opted for bernaise. It also comes with horseradish. For sides, we got the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Life hack, save a potato skin and top it with creamed spinach. The great Anna S showed me this hack, and I am here to say this woman knows what's up.In terms of drinks, I of course had to order a dirty martini. This is a classic steakhouse dirty. It is filled to the brim, so much so they don't even add the olives into the drink until you take a few sips. The olives are hand stuffed with blue cheese and a wonderful salty addition to the briny martini of your dreams. This place is a total vibe. The bar has its own menu as well featuring sandwiches and a burger so I feel there is something to enjoy for every price point and craving here.Loved my experience, and especially loved knowing this has been family-owned and operated restaurant in Baltimore since 1965! A great steakhouse, good hospitality, and martinis truly never go out of style."

Brad M. "I've been eyeing this place ever since I read about it being one of the best steakhouses on east coast on reddit. Seeing as how I lived just over an hour away I was happy to test out the hypothesis, and it didnt disappoint. I made reservations and found street parking. I was a smidge late, but fortunately they didnt give my table away. Once seated, I noticed the decor and ambiance was a bit aged, though still nice. I ordered an old fashion while my friend had red wine. We both ordered new york strip steaks and had salads to start. I went with a house while my friend had a greek salad, and tbh I wish I ordered the greek salad. the salad comes with potatoes under the lettuce and is topped with a bright tasting greek dressing consisting of lemon, garlic, and herbs. Coupled with the feta it reminded of my growing up in NYC and stopping in all of the rich tasting greek diners on the island. This stole the night for me, I'd go back just for this greek salad. The steakhouse's menu describes the restaurant as being the first to offer prime steaks. Upon further research I found that prime steak is the highest grade a meat could obtain. The meat tends to be juicer, packed with flavor and great has marbling. Lastly, the meat is cooked in a broiler at 1800 degrees. What surprised me the most was how well the steak was cooked, I ordered mine to be medium rare and typically in a restaurant medium rare means the middle of the steak is medium rare and the outside is more medium. However here the outside was medium rare and the center, inside of the steak was more on the rare side. What was disappointing was that the restaurant only tops their steaks with butter. Maybe I've grown accustomed to salt and pepper and while the steak was good, it felt like it was missing something. We also ordered a baked potato and mushrooms. The baked potato can be topped with butter, sour cream but not chives which is unfortunate but I managed. Both portions were enough to satisfy us both. The service was great, there are no complaints there. The waitress offered their opinion when asked, and guided us to the house favorites. She was quick to refill the water, and was prompt in returning often."

Pri S. "The restaurant is a bit dark and run down. It has a old dark black interior vibe. Felt like I was in a bar or night club. I wish they had more lighting.I didn't care for the free onion soup. It had a strange taste to it. The salad was decently fresh it needed a bit more dressing. Also the dressing wasn't the typical ginger dressing at a hibachi restaurant. The fried rice, steak, and sauces were great. My filet was cooked well and it was seasoned well. The portions of fried rice was on the smaller side. They also gave noodles I didn't care for. I wish they would double portion the rice instead of the noodles. The noodles has no flavor and it was just not good.Portions of vegetables wasn't good. It wasn't properly portion. I was handed mostly broccoli and onions. My daughter didn't get any broccoli. However our chef did not know how to prepare seafood. My scallops were so dry and rubbery. It was to over cook. I did get the 2 piece shrimp that comes with our meal. Once again the shrimp was so rubbery and dry. Both scallops and shrimp had a fishy taste to it. 1 star removed for seafood over cook.I think it was the owners (lady) she was very friendly. Great smile and personality. However our server had a language barrier and she wasn't as good. I also think she was new. But it was a team effort. Our chef had to call our server for refills for the table. They do offer the 10% check in on yelp coupon. Would I go back yes. Would I get seafood again probably not. Unless they train the chefs to cook seafood properly. PS it's a cozy restaurant you will be sitting with another party and there partial booths so someone is next to uthe owner ask first before seating so you might be able to decline if you don't feel comfortable"

The breakfast is stellar. 99.9% of the time. Then today.....decided to get a late lunch there, and we were both hungry; I ordered shrimp Parmesan, my fiancée ordered the sampler for us both. Man, it wasn't just borderline tasteless, nearly everything had an odd taste, like an after taste. Though maybe the oil was old in the dryer, but my pasta was awful tasting; thought maybe the sauce, but the potato skins had a weird gumminess and aftertaste that was just off.Either one of us wanted to complain as we frequent the restaurant in the AM and maybe thought it was an off day, but both meals? This was my first time being in the bar area and the booth we had was cozy. Overall my experience was decent but I had a few gripes. 1. The salad used to come with the meal but a side salad was $6 and it came in a weird bowl. It took everything in me not to knock it over. 2. My server. He was much more attentive to a table that came in after us. He checked on them often but we basically only saw him when he took our order and gave us the check. We spent more time with the food runners. He also forgot one of my items that I ordered. I'm not sure if I was charged for it because I just paid the check and left. Now to the good part....I ordered way too many items to list each one but the food was great. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and neatly decorated. I got some work emails done while sipping my wine and eating my salad. It wasn't too long until I got my entree. The crab cake here is definitely different than other places I had tried, because it has thick and large pieces of crab and barely any flour holding it together. This means the crab cake is mostly real crab, and it is very juicy and tender. It has very good texture and original flavor, perfectly paired with a little bit of sauce. I was too ambitious to order this entree, finished 70% and couldn't take the leftovers since I don't have a fridge while traveling. I bet this would've reheated well in the toaster oven. My server was very friendly and polite. The parking lot looked pretty packed by the time I was leaving, but the restaurant still have lots of seating. I wonder if this place ever gets busy. Lew H. "Memo's is a really good place to go! We wanted to get out of DC today for a little relaxing time and decided on Memo's for dinner. We are really glad we did!The food was all perfect! I started with the cup of jalapeno corn & crab chowder. The menu said it was "award winning" and I believe it!. The thickness was perfect. The flavors were perfectly balanced - a little heat from the jalapenos played very nicely against the sweetness of the corn. The broth was delicious without a hint of uncooked flour or clumps. The waiter (David L) confirmed what I got was a cup although, to me, it seemed like a whole lot more than that! It was certainly WELL WORTH the $8.00 price. I would happily order this soup again. I struggled over what to order for my main dish because almost everything sounded good to me. I finally decided on the "Best Turkey Sandwich" which is very well named. Thick piles of thinly sliced, moist turkey. Very tasty! The bread was soft but held this behemoth of a sandwich together very well. Not sure how that bread could be both soft and strong at the same time but it did it admirably. The sandwich was dressed simply with mayo and paper-thin slices of onions, tomatoes and lettuce. I was only going to eat half of the sandwich but that plan fell apart when I tasted it. PS - I ate the whole thing! The service was very good. David L served us from start to finish and he was perfect. Polite and fast. Friendly and double checked on us as needed. I asked for a small spoon and he brought me 2 small but differently sized spoons - each wrapped in a napkin. A very good waiter indeed.I think I give only 4 stars here because of the decor and ambience. There is a lack of cohesiveness to the interior. I appreciate the elegant over-the-top crystal chandeliers hanging front and back. But the rest of the ambiance is rather bland and lacking. The color palate is not modern or sophisticated. The decoration on the walls is too small and not related to the rest of the interior. The furniture seemed a little mis-matched too.Of course, you don't eat the pictures on the walls. And I don't return to a restaurant because of the beauty of its dining room. A restaurant has to deliver delicious food and have great service for me to rave and return. And what Memo's might lack in ambiance, it MORE than makes up with great food, huge servings and fantastic service with a smile.I whole heartedly recommend Memo's to you!!!"
