Dan A. "We have been to Pappas in Parkville and for a birthday celebration we decided to try this location in the Cranbrook Shopping Center. We had a 6 pm reservation on a Sunday and they were semi-busy..They brought out a complimentary cucumber salad which was a nice touch. Our Crab dip that was served with soft Pita wedges was delicious. I can't remember the draft IPA I ordered but it was good.We ordered their famous Crab Cakes and they didn't disappoint. I'm always surprised when the steak (Ribeye) at a seafood spot is excellent- their Ribeye was tasty.Anchovies were available for the Caesar salad which is a plus for me.We ordered a Triple Chocolate Mousse-rich and decadent.Service was upbeat and engaged. Ciara took great care of us. Multi-winner for their Crab cakes and lives up to the hype!"

Kai E. "While visiting family in the DMV, we decided on an impromptu lunch at Pappas in Glen Burnie. It was 2 pm when I arrived, and the restaurant was packed. The large bar area was filled to capacity, and the dining room was also packed. I arrived before the rest of my party of 7. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. She managed to get us a booth where all 7 of us were able to squeeze in at so we didn't have to wait long. There is a 20% gratuity automatically added to your bill for parties of 6 or more. Also, they don't allow split checks for large parties. This info is posted when you enter the restaurant on the website, written in the menu, and they even place a notice on the table, so you can't say you didn't know. Don't worry because they give 5 star service. Our waitress was amicable and attentive. In spite of the restaurant being busy, our drinks and food came fast. I ordered the single crab cake platter with a side salad and veggies. The 8oz Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was delicious, very little filling, and flavorful, definitely on my list of top 5 in Maryland. Prices are reasonable, and portions are fair. Customer service was stellar from every aspect. This restaurant is definitely on my list of places to visit when I'm in town moving forward. If you are looking for a great experience with amazing food, look no further."

Brianna F. "After an afternoon activity with family at the fairgrounds down the road- we decided to grab a bite to eat at Mother's North down the road. We made a reservation for 5:45pm via their website. If you plan to make a reservation, just know that means that they'll seat you next available, they won't have a table readily available for you when you arrive- like a reservation usually would. Our reservation was was for 6 people & a toddler that we planned to have sit in a booster chair. Upon getting called for our table, we noticed that most of the tables were just longer than normal booth. We had 6 fully grown adults (one of them being a pregnant woman). Not typically a very enjoyable meal when you are all sitting shoulder to shoulder during your meal. I asked the hostess if we were about to be seated if it was possible that we wait for a table that had chairs rather than a booth. Her response back to me was "no, this is all we have." I said okay- can we wait for the booth in the back that is a bit roomier? "No that's reserved." okay... we also had a reservation? I said alright, is there anyway we can arrange a table that would have chairs? "No, this is all we have- do you still want it?" Before even sitting down to enjoy our meal, already feeling like this restaurant cannot accommodate us. Not sure where they sit larger parties than 6? Also you couldn't book a reservation online for any parties bigger than 6 so I'm confused how the larger booth was reserved... After being seated we had great service from our server, Tag. The food came out quickly. There was a mixup with someone's meal in our party not coming out on time & they did discount the meal for us on the behalf of their mistake. Club sandwich, quesadilla, chicken fingers, shrimp po boy, chicken sandwich- were all very good. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall our service & food was great- however the hospitality & friendliness of the faces at the front could use some work. After all, it is the first people you encounter when you enter the establishment."

Patrice M. "I came here yesterday for karaoke/game night. They have all day happy hour on Wednesdays, so that's good. There are a lot of options on the happy hour menu for drinks and food. The food is pretty bad though. It's bar food, but the bottom-mest of bottom bar food. I ordered the "truffle" fries and a Caesar salad. I put truffle in quotes because there was nothing truffle about it and they used powdered Parmesan cheese on them. Despite this, the fries were actually tasty. Far better than my salad. The main reason I ordered the Caesar salad is because I figured that was something that would be hard to mess up. The first red flag was I saw some cheddar cheese sprinkled on the salad. Lol. I love all types of cheese, but this was unexpected. The salad wouldn't have been terrible if they didn't drown it in dressing. I picked at it, looking for pieces that didn't have so much dressing. In the end I mainly ended up eating the croutons. As for drinks, I kept it simple with a tequila-soda from the happy hour menu. I had two and they were solid. The first one was really strong, which I like. My last critique is that it took a while for us to get our drinks. The food ended up coming out before the drinks. They use a website where you can place your order and conveniently split the bill. I'm not sure if the bartender was backed up, even though it wasn't busy when we first got there. The vibes were cool. The music was very loud, so don't expect to have a lot of conversation. All in all, I don't think that I would come back here."

Kai M. "Okay, I've awakened from my food coma and I'm ready to tell my story. On a hot almost summer day in Baltimore, I decided to venture to Mr. Bill's for what was described as the best crabs in town...well, it came highly recommendation and they did NOT lie! First, this place can get busy so it's recommended to get there early or make reservations. Next, the staff was very cool to chat with and our bartender knew how to make a good Paloma! I love that this place feels like it belongs in Jersey Shore or near to a beach because it gives such a cool and beach like ambiance. I enjoyed looking at the setup, the bathroom with the sliding doors, and everything that mimics the inside of an authentic beach side restaurant. The food...for starters we had the honey old bay wings and listen to what I say...THESE were fried perfectly and the sauce was DIVINE! If they bottled it, I'd buy it because the wings were everything. Crabs and corn: the corn was the sweetest I've had and it was perfectly roasted. It added a good break between enjoying the crabs and that brings me to the CRABS! If anyone can point me in the direction of their seasoning aisle, I'd run to it. The crab was covered in seasoning and touched by the food gods. Some of course, we meaty while others were not but the majority were filled with succulent meat. Whew! I'm having a nostalgic moment. Would I return? YES! Immediately! Price: one dozen for $90 (special) medium male crabs wings: under $16 (can't recall) BTI Paloma: $12 Kid friendly: there is an extensive menu and if the rest of the food were as good as the wings, I'd trust it for the little ones. Good for groups: eh, if you arrive early and made prior reservationsDrinks: I had a sip of the lemon drop and it wasn't good BUT the Paloma was amazing! Cash or card? Cards accepted not sure on cash Service: Good service but a little slow Overall, I rate this place an excellent option for good food, live games (TVs available) a full bar, clean restrooms, and DELICIOUS food!"

My sister is a semi-regular here and said it would be a good choice so we decided to give it a go.The meal started w warm slightly sweet yeast rolls and butter which were tasty and took the edge off. We all chose the side All American salad as our premium side with our entrees. I chose the basil vinaigrette dressing and loved it. Others enjoyed their blue cheese and ranch selections. For entrees, I got the 6 oz filet w a baked potato. This was a great choice and I even had leftovers. Our dad got the 7 oz sirloin and he was very happy with his selection. My brother got the chicken marsala over wild rice w steamed broccoli, delicious. And my sister got the pork chops in marsala sauce w mashed potatoes which was equally delicious. We were all stuffed so no dessert (even for the birthday boy), and we all agreed that we would definitely be back soon bc this meal was so good. Side note, we got all of this food for around $95 pre-tip so it was also a good value (esp after spending over $63 at Camden Yard for four hot dogs, three bottles of water and one fountain soda). I assumed that it would've been quiet because it was so early in the day, but it wasn't! The restaurant has street parking on the front, but it's probably best to park in the back. There's two lots behind Jilly's- one directly on the restaurant's grounds, and one across the road. Be sure not to park on the lots of the businesses next door- I definitely saw tow signs and I didn't want to find out if they actually did or not. Anyhoo, the restaurant on the inside is pretty much like the normal sports bar set up- a bar towards the front, tables and booths- nothing extraordinary. It was neat and clean. Kinda dark, but that wasn't a bad thing, just an observation. The tables weren't totally filled when we came, but by the end of our lunch, it was a packed house!I wanted something kinda light, so I settled for the half shrimp salad sandwich combo with chili (no cheese). My friend decided upon the shrimp salad wrap and fries. Everything WAS SO GOOD!!! The chili was meaty, fresh and so flavorful! The onions paired well, adding additional flavors. I tried a few fries & they were delicious and crispy. I dipped them into the chili-absolute chef's kiss! They were delicious and crispy. The shrimp salad was the star of the show! I had the salad on rye and it was just fantastic! Fresh, plump shrimp with juuust the amount of Old Bay & mayo. Ugh! I wish I had it right now! I'm definitely going back one day soon to get exactly what I had again, lol! Maybe I'll try the sandwich on a Kaiser roll next time. While Jilly's isn't on my side of town, I'll take a little ride over for that shrimp salad and that delectable chili. 5 stars across the board!"

I think it gets backed up in the kitchen because you can watch the cooks moving slowly in the kitchen while the servers busily move about tending to customers or wait patiently for food to come up for delivery from the kitchen. See the picture below. The prices are decent and the food was excellent and full of flavor but it was just slow. I recommend the Tex Mex chicken nachos and teriyaki steak. I loved that they have Guinness on draft too. The only thing that marked them down was the bar had some rowdy guests, and while the manager quickly addressed it, that did not happen until a few people mentioned it. The behavior at the bar should have never become an issue for patrons because management, or the bar tender, should have stepped in before guests called attention to it."
