They make their rolls on site, so the bread is fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also have gotten just a bowl of soup; and with cand a piece of that great bread. Lunch time is busy there, but they move the orders fast. There are a few tables to sit and enjoy the sandwiches or you can take it out. I like this place a lot. That's why I'll keep going back"

"As we've come to expect we were greeted warmly and seated in short order, soon after Abagail came to the table and took our drink and appetizer order. Over the course of our dinner, she checked on us regularly and kept our drinks full asking if we would like coffee or dessert when the time came.We started with the Crab Dip, which was plentiful and arrived piping hot, sadly the amount of salt in the dip overshadowed the delicate taste of the crab and cheese. The pretzels sticks weren't impressive either, it was nice that they weren't salted but the dough was heavy and lacked flavor. The rolls and corn bread were quite nice. The rolls had a nice crust and were soft on the inside, we enjoyed them with the butter that came with them. I was pleased with the corn bread, it had a wonderful consistency, and a subtle corn flavor, the corn bread was warmed leaving the cut edges lightly toasted.My wife ordered Fish & Chips with a Small Garden Salad. The fish was well cooked, flaked easily and coated with a light beer batter.I went with the Mahi Reuben, it was a nicely done Reuben with the traditional corned beef swapped for Mahi, the Gruyere was a pleasant addition and worth repeating. As a side I choose onion rings which were a subtle ring of onion coated with a delicate beer batter. Abagail suggested the horseradish dip and I thought I'd give it a try, if you like a good strong horseradish this dip is for you. I ended up, despite the full flavor, setting the dip aside as the burn was too much."

"This is the best pizza I've had in awhile! My daughter had the naked chicken wings and a cheese pizza. My wife had the baked potato pizza and I had the Margarita pizza. This is Detroit style pizza and they have NAILED the crust! Don't get me wrong the entire pizza is FANTASTIC but damn is the crust immaculate! Fluffy with a perfect crunch and chew to it. The flavors hit from every angle and don't hold back. I cannot even to begin to describe how damn insane the baked potato pizza was. I always thought TOT was my favorite form of potato.... It might be pizza form after this! This is a MUST SEEK OUT type of place in my honest opinion! Service was awesome as well even though we did go on a Tuesday at noon. Does look like a night life type of place! Damn this"

The cinnamon bun was huge and so we split it, and the manager/owner was nice enough to share homemade jam. It was awesome! Finally, I can't say how elated I was to see a bottle of hand sanitizer at each table. It's nice to know that after I've used the same salt and pepper shaker half the free world has, I can just use a quick pump of the sanitizer they keep at the table, instead of having to dig it out of my purse every time I add additional pepper to my food (also they keep Old Bay seasoning on tap which I appreciate)."

"Came here to say for some late night grub! Eminem is lacked in the Hampden area of the city. The entrance we used would be considered an alley in Baltimore terms, but that didn't dissuade us one bit!Three was a metered parking lot right outside the entrance, which was great given the limited parking available on the street as this is a very popular area.Upon entering, we came upon an entryway that was plastered with anime which was an unexpected surprise and created a cool vibe ambience. We chose to get our order for carryout and proceeded to order the item that has been getting a lot of good hype: the chicken sandwich! There was seating available .The staff were pleasant as we placed our order and the wait was justified as our food was cooked to order.They had a public restroom, which is a good thing, for use by its customers.Our sandwich was piping hot on a fresh roll with a delicious coating that accented the chicken just right. The pickled side item was not lost on us either: fresh, crunchy, and a great treat to go with the sandwich. Sorry I didn't get a chance to show the sandwiche, as I was half way through when I thought about it, but trust me, it was good!All in all a great place to grab a late night bite or visit for lunch/dinner. "Glad to see they're still around and holding on strong!!! Since my last review, the Foggy Bottom location closed. So this is my most convenient location to access! If there isn't traffic, I can get there in about 25 minutes, so it's not bad! Some friends and I most recently swung by after axe throwing nearby. It was about an hour before they closed. We were a party of 9 or 10, and they happily put together some high tables near the bar for us. Maybe it's because I've only sat at the bar in the past, but now you can either order with the server or scan the QR code that way. And the menus were these fancy tablets that I initially thought we could order through! They have so many pizzas now I forgot which one I got, but it was one I haven't had yet. I ordered a personal one through the server and I got garlic knots to go through the QR code. The staff were all very polite and everyone got taken care of. The pizza was great, and so were those garlic knots! I still cringe at how much cheaper they are in NY though, LOL! It seems like they don't do karaoke anymore, but I think they have some other events I can come through for. Long live HomeSlyce!"

Anywho, like the others have said, it isn't in the greatest of areas; although it appears as though that will be changing soon. It is a small store, like grocery store that also sells food, think salads, desserts, coffee, and prepared items. They have a pretty nice sized menu of options for sammie's and they are at a great price point. I got the small Italian cold cut, everything was crazy fresh from the bread to the meats. I got a large for the him and he enjoyed his sammie as well. Loved it!"

Never skimping on the toppings and I typically get Caesar dressing which I would assume all the dressings are house made cause they're very thick and flavorful and not Ken's brand, but to be honest you really don't even need dressing cause the salad itself has so many flavorful toppings that dressing takes a back seat. Truly I could eat it every day frfr. And shout out to my queen with the subtle blue in her hair cause everytime I'm in there it's clear she runs a tight ship with people who respect her and it's never any problems with anything, I'm talking about service, quality of food. Workspace cleanliness etc. give that lady a raise and then some! Cause it's clear she is the essence of proper service in there."

Please note we paid $8.99 for the spaghetti and meatballs (this is not the frozen version).First off, the spaghetti and meatballs comes in a large bowl enough for 2-3 people as side dishes. The red sauce has tons of good flavor. Wished there was more sauce though. Comes topped with cheese. In terms of meatballs, our dish only came with 2 meatballs. The noodles were more on the thick side which I appreciate. Had a nice chew to it. Definitely kid friendly if you are trying to find dishes for children.Up next is the steak and cheese. The meat (steak) was flavorful. Not sure if its entirely homemade or store bought. It's a bit on the peppery side. Recommend asking for everything in terms of toppings. With each topping, it adds a good bite to it. Mayo, Oil/Vinegar and hot pepper is a MUST on this sandwich. It was garlicky and bitter which helped with the heaviness of it all. I'm impressed with their chicken cutlets sandwich which now makes me wonder how delicious their roast pork/beef sandwich is! There's arcades, a fridge of craft beer and gender neutral bathrooms. Super hipster and liberal for PA - which I loved. The food is diner - and the coffee was super cold at first but the waitress quickly brought me a new mug. The hash browns were perfectly crispy. Get the biscuits with gravy, I got the plain and stole my friend's gravy. There is an early bird menu if you eat from 8-9 am which feels so small town to me. A must stop for brunch if you're in York! The weather was also stunning so we sat in the outdoor seating space."
