"Ambiance: casual, family friendly. Mix of high tops and booth seating. Nice place for friends and family to gather. Probs ok for large groups too if call in advance. We were able to walk in on a weeknight with a group of 4 without reservations Food: good ramen. Noodles are nice and chewy. The curry ramen was great and a different change from the usual pork broth. Lots of add ons to choose from such as bamboo shoots and corn. Drinks: some cocktails, a variety of beers including Sapporo and list of sakeService: great. There was really only one staff member taking orders and he took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. Likelihood to go back: 10/10. Solid spot to scratch the ramen craving on those cold rainy nights."
"Shoyu Ramen 5/5 - the curvy noodles had a great texture and satisfying bite, exactly what I crave in ramen. Got it with the highest spice level, and its perfect for someone with a higher tolerance, not too spicy to where its not enjoyable. May be too spicy for someone with a low tolerance. Very tasty and good portion. The egg was cold but perfectly cooked with semi liquidity yolk.Tonkotsu Ramen 4.5/5 - Overall was delicious, although wasn't a fan of the thinner straight noodles compared to Shoyu. At first, it also felt as if it had a funky smell but tasted great. Good portion and egg like the shoyuChasu bun 5/5 - Soft bun, good spice, strong flavors, well filled. Comes with two.Takoyaki 5/5- Was my favorite thing on the menu. Full of flavor, it has a great soft texture, and drizzled with tasty sauce. Enjoyed octopus chops and taste. Came during a non busy time, but service was extremely fast. One appetizer came after another and the ramen was out before they could be finished. Staff was nice and restaurant was clean."

"This is the go to ramen spot in Howard County. The food is delicious and the service is great. I love the volcano ramen, which has the spicy kick needed to warm you up on a cold day. The broth is rich and flavorful and definitely fills you up. Also, the ramen comes out pretty quickly too. I recommend coming during lunch when they first open, since it typically isn't super busy. I've found that there is more of a wait when you try to come for dinner. They do close for some time in between lunch and dinner, so make sure to check the time before heading over."
"Cozy little place, great for when it's cold out! I had the chicken Ramen, the chicken was fried and came in a separate fry basket. My daughter got the spicy pork, both were good. Service was good, parking is on the street with meters or in the parking garage, not sure of the cost. Our soups were $13.00 & $14.00 each. They serve alcohol, however, I didn't have any. Tables are small, very cozy place."
"Love love love eating here. The menu has expanded greatly since they first opened, so there are a bunch of new things. I really need to try, but I'm also a creature of habit so I typically just order Akira Ramen. It comes out quickly just in case you're in a hurry, but even if you are take some time to save it and enjoy the flavor."
"Good food: the ramen is super flavorful. Soup (I had original/classic one) was thick and creamy. You can tell they must have boiled it for hours for the soup to look like that and very umami. The egg is noodle is perfectly processed-- melted egg yolk, so tender.Service is wonderful. They check on us frequently, asking if we need anything or add more order. Very nice and kind. When we order they didn't bring a booklet but simply remembered our order. Apparently they know their business very well.Ambience is good too. There are not many tables, but each with enough space in between to keep conversation private. Cocktail (gin with yuzu, and peppercorn) was awesome. I like how slightly bitter it was. But very strong aroma of the yuzu. I enjoyed a lot."
"It was empty there was barely anybody in there and the service was super slow. I had to find the person to pay my bill. The food wasn't great. The smoked salmon was entirely way too flavor and it's something I eat often. I was not satisfied with the food or the service once I left, my stomach was hurting so bad and so the person who I ate with."
"I've lived at the rotunda / icon and figured if I'm that close to home I should probably just make food at home, until one day when I was coming back from a long day of errands and looked through all the menus in the area and decided to check out this place. It far exceeded my expectations!! Great, quality food!!My only suggestion is either bring it home and dump it into a larger bowl so that you can mix it, or ask for another container, as they shove it FULL! You EASILY get your money's worth!! Highly recommend!!!"
"Primarily a ramen place. Enter and get a shout out by the staff. Not sure why or what they kept saying. Would have preferred more individual service. Gyoza was good. Nicely browned. But cold in the outside. The shrimp/bacon pancake was excellent! Should take 15 minutes but appetizers came together. Volcano ramen was nicely spicy and the right consistency."
"Three words: ONE PAGE MENU! This usually means they only do a few items, but they do them well. In the case of Akira, that could not be more true. Ramen and a few other dishes are done expertly here!I have been hoping for a good ramen joint nearby in Crofton. There are a scattering of local gems in neighboring towns, but you would have to go to Annapolis at minimum before Akira came here. I was so happy!I had tried the location in Columbia just before the pandemic shut everything down, so I was slightly familiar with the brand. Needless to say, I was excited, but as with anything new, cautious at first try.Wow, what a great bowl of ramen though! While you can customize your bowl, their original options are so delicious by themselves, you might never need to craft your own bowl. I'll just leave it at that, whatever you like in your ramen, even just noodles and broth, they have you covered!Beyond the ramen, the rest of the options are equally delightful. My last visit, I tried the katsudon, for instance. This is a panko-breaded fried pork cutlet, with Japanese curry sauce, white rice, and an assortment of pickled veggies. Oh... em... gee. So good! They also recently added a yakitori menu, I want to call it? Basically skewers of grilled meats and veggies. Also, new shumai and... Brussels sprouts? Interesting option! I haven't tried the latter yet, but I've had both shumai (pork & shrimp) and one of the shrimp skewers. All of these options were very good, definitely solid and tasty additions to the menu.Overall: I love a great bowl of ramen at any time of year. Savory, full of umami, filling, complex, yet simple. It's just a lovely dish that always works. Crofton desperately needed a great ramen joint to compliment the other amazing food options out here (like our Vietnamese and Mexican joints). Now we have one. I plan to be a frequent visitor to this Ramen-Ya going forward!"

I had a great experience at Kippo Ramen last night! My boyfriend and I were craving ramen, and we were certainly not disappointed. We started off by ordering the 21oz size of beer each, which came in huge beer bottles. For our appetizer, we ordered spicy garlic edamame. I think I filled up on that, because I could not stop eating it. Our service was prompt and the ambiance was really cute. We both enjoyed our ramen, it was the perfect cozy meal for a chilly fall evening. We will definitely be coming back here.

Food: Although this spot is known for their ramen, and I've only tried it once, I come here at least once a month to enjoy a cold bubbly beverage and/or sake, their charsu bao buns (comes with two - i ask for the sauce on the side), and a bulgogi onigiri. I CRAVE this combo from Uma Uma weekly!

I visited this spot for a late lunch after a retwist appointment and opted for indoor seating at the sushi-making station. I ordered the fried oysters as an appetizer, but they arrived after my Miso Ramen. The oysters were delicious and crispy! However, I found the Miso Ramen broth lacking in flavor and only mildly warm. Overall, my experience was decent, but I'm uncertain if I'd return specifically for the ramen.

I had ramen for the first time ever yesterday. It was underwhelming. Everyone seems to love it and I felt as if it was just watery broth with tons of veggies... but no flavor? Luckily, they added some spice for me but, "eh." Sidenote: the veggies in my ramen weren't the cleanest. I don't think it is my jam, however, after looking at some of the reviews, this place seems to be more of a sushi spot than ramen? Again, I know nothing of ramen but luckily, I was able to try both ramen and sushi since my partner ordered three sushi rolls and couldn't finish--they were massive! He could barely get one piece in his mouth due to the size! I tried a piece and it was very fresh with the perfect amount of crunch. Staff wasn't the most attentive but due to the rainy day they were super busy with carryout orders.

The food was great and didn't disappoint. With how much this place was hyped I expected they're to be a wait. Thankfully it was full but no wait. The service was fast within a few minutes the server had come over and taken the drink and starter orders. I had the maple beer wings which were a delicious start. I would say this app was enough for me but not for sharing. The maple came through and were fried perfectly. Would recommend. I had the toki classic ramen for the entree. Again, toki underground nailed it. Getting all the notes right. Decent serving of noodles and meat. It left a little bit of am aftertaste which was peculiar but maybe I was just imagining it. The decor was unique with rotating skate decks on the ceiling. At the end, I checked in with yelp to score some free stickers. So beautiful, so creative.

*Review is for a delivery order - I got a pretty simple order of salmon sushi, tuna sushi, and yellowtail sushi - I found the prices to be reasonable and the quality to be great.Would definitely order delivery from here again, and will have to stop by in person to check out the ambiance and service!

Recently ate at Mi & Yu Noodle Bar on our way to the lights on 34th Street in Hampden. This is a casual stop to get some really good bowls. You pick your protein (I had the fried chicken) your noodle (Pho) and your broth (Miso). The bowl was flavorful and very filling. Most of our party had to get Take Away containers.

"Good sushi here. The hotel staff at Best Western recommended this place. They serve a mix of various types of Asian cuisine. I was in the mood for sushi so I got it. I always love a good avocado salad but I wasn't a huge fan of the dressing they served on the salad. I enjoyed the sushi, I forget what sushi roll I got but it was good and I ate it all in the restaurant. I love salmon sushi and tuna sushi. This review might be a bit biased if you don't like either. lol. I will come back if I'm in the area."
"By far the best and most authentic Sushi in Baltimore... I thought I was back in the bay area... I give it 3X the maximum stars"
"Overall- excellent and comforting food for a good price in a quirky ambiance with fast service and single stall bathroomsWe tried to go for lunch. We got there when it opened at 11:30, but we were told we would have to wait a while for the chef. We didn't have that kind of time so we came back for dinner and I'm glad we did. Our ramen was delicious and flavorful. The meat was cooked to perfection. We both could have used twice the amount of broth. The servings were heavy on the noodles, which my little one loved. He's 2 and kept shouting for more noodles. The cucumber salad was fresh and addicting and the pork bun was unbelievable. I'd go back for that any day! Places like this make me super grateful for Yelp. I would have never thought to pop in from the outside. The parking lot is full of damaged cars, possibly because it's next to a body shop."
"Came in for bubble tea and was blown away by the interior. Mind you the bubble tea was great, but gahhhh do you guys see the pictures. I had the coconut milk bubble tea and it was great, but now I can't wait to get ramen! I'll be back."
"We are so excited about this place! It is in the old Greek place and has kept a lot of the interior, which made us chuckle. They have pre-made options and make your own options for ramen or poke. We both opted for poke (Annapolis NEEDS more places like this). I thoroughly enjoyed mine, as did my husband. His main qualm was he asked for one of the sushi burritos but in a bowl instead. In doing so, they did not charge him the same price but over $16 (opposes to the ~$12). This really upset him, and I think that's understandable considering it was the same thing without the nori wrap. The fish was tender. The sauces good. The staff was friendly. Will definitely go back -- but not worth the price if they up-charge like they did."
"This is a review for the food itself as I had it delivered and did not physically go to the restaurant :)I had a craving for ramen (I think I'm obsessed now lol) and wanted to order some for lunch while I was in between work meetings. I decided to get the karaage ramen. It was delicious! The broth was very well seasoned and the chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The spicy mayo was also a great addition to the chicken and had the perfect kick of heat. The broth to noodle to topping ratio was on point, too. I would definitely have their food again, next time in person!"
"Really enjoyed the ramen take out I had from here. Ordering was easy when we walked in on the kiosk and the wait wasn't long (even with a 4 yr old in tow). I got the shrimp tempura ramen, which was packaged separately for take out (broth, ramen add-in's, and tempura shrimp were all separate). The broth was very tasty and everything was super fresh. Tempura shrimp was good, not too greasy. Not many other ramens to try for me as I don't eat beef or pork, but would def get it again and try the veggie ramen."
"Dashi ramen is located inside of cross street market. We went on Halloween but I still managed to snag a free parking spot about a block away. My friend and I got the infamous Thai tea. I'm not sure if that's what it's called but it's the orange one. It was quite delicious. The chicken was fried perfectly but to be honest had way too many feathers left on it. The crab wontons were very good especially when dipped in the Asian sauce. I enjoyed my ramen tremendously. The highlight was definitely the broth. I can't say I would go again but it definitely got the job done."
"First time here. This restaurant just opened last week. My coworkers love it. I decided to give it a try.I ordered the chicken ramen. The broth was the key ingredient in this dish. The broth was thick and flavorful. I definitely enjoyed dining in at this restaurant. The lady right next to me told me the sushi sampler was delicious. Definitely will be back soon."
"We really enjoyed our meal here! We ordered pork gyoza, chicken buns, and two ramens- I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and my husband got the "meat lovers" tonkotsu ramen. We also split some mochi ice cream and took advantage of the collaboration with kung fu tea to order some bubble tea. We sat down and there was table service, but it was casual, and there was plenty of people coming in to order take-out. Only one or two other people sat down to eat while we were there (a Monday evening). Service was fast but well-paced. Everything exceeded our expectations- the food was well-portioned, delicious, and not overly expensive. I am so glad we gave this place a try and we will almost certainly be back!"
"I've only ordered doordash from here but the food and drinks are always fresh and the orders are always correct. Their poke bowls are the best - really good quality ingredients. Highly recommend!!"
"I heard a new ramen restaurant landed in Bowie, so I knew I needed to check it out. Located in Hilltop Plaza, directly next door to the My Eye Dr office, sits the newly open Sakura Express. Sakura Express specializes in various types of ramen and hibachi entrees. You can either dine in, or do take out. Online ordering is also available. I decided to order my food online and take-out. Upon arrival, I noticed how clean and brand spanking new the establishment is. The customer service was very friendly and helpful. I also noticed a cute water dispenser filled with water, lemons and limes at the condiment station. When I got home I tried the vegetarian ramen. It was tasty, but it didn't blow me. I also purchased the fried chicken ramen (the correct name escapes me) but it was pretty good also. I didn't like that the fried chicken got soggy, due to the broth. Between the two, I liked the broth in the fried chicken ramen better. It's a pretty okay place to try, but I don't foresee me becoming a regular."
"Good, quick fast ramen. Tucked in a little corner the food is delicious and tasty. They were attentive and had great service. I loved the decor."
"I had the Japanese Ramen. It was very tasty! I added chicken and shrimp for an extra $5.00 It was a nice amount of food. I took the rest home and made a soup out of it and added a boiled egg!"
"Great homemade tonkotsu in small town Westminster. Family owned restaurants just hit different. As soon as I walked in, I knew the food was going to be delicious. Only three tables or so in the building but I didn't mind. I wouldn't be surprised if this place starts to get packed with customers in a few months. The decorative walls followed by the authentic ramen was a match made in heaven. Not typically in Westminster MD a lot but I'll be back if I'm ever around!"
