Delicious food with great service. Wonderful restaurant for catching up with friends and family in a convenient location. I just wish they would get on DoorDash.

Menu provided something for everyone. A nice selection of sushi rolls raw and cooked. They also accepted modifications to the rolls. The wings and ratatouille were pretty good.

This spot is great for the views and atmosphere, mediocre for the food and service. At best I'd consider this a great happy hour drink and appetizer place to soak in the beach vacation vibe, show off too visitors, but I would not waste time or money on a full dinner service. To start off we all got a round of drinks and the crab tots which were plenty to share, very rich but enjoyable however they didn't bring share plates for us so we had to go search those out on our own. Then we ordered a round of dinner. The steak we ordered medium came on well done, and we sent it back (something we never do). They offered a free cup of soup or salad when we waited and then gave a free drink instead since the individual didn't want either of those things. The rest of the entrees were okay but nothing dazzling. The fries were limp and lacked salt or flavor so throw some old bay on them. The steak finally came out a second time and still was more or less well done, very little pink in the dead center so maybe medium well, but overall very disappointing. Conversely the drink menu had some good diverse options that were fun to try! Views were very enjoyable though and made the mediocre dining experience still get this spot 3 stars

This place is mediocre. It was pretty much empty for happy hour on a Monday. The drinks were meh, the food was ok. There was an odd smell. Not sure I will be itching to go here again.

Located among the Power Plant Live! places. This was a convenient stop for us as we were walking around. The inside was cool and relaxing. All of the inside table seating is benches or stools. The bar has stools with backs. Service was ok. She took a long time bring us water after we asked. Food took longer than we expected to come out. The kitchen is separate from the actual location so not sure how big it is or how far the walk is.Food was ok. I got the fish tacos which were enough for me. The fish was not super flavorful but I liked the toppings and sauce. My boyfriend got the chicken jalapeno sandwich. It was not very good. The chicken was burnt here and there and there was not enough sauce for the dryness of the chicken and the bread.We each got a drink - 1 beer and 1 cider. Standard stuff, nothing amazing.

Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM AND on Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We LOVE a weekend Happy Hour =) Their food specials for Happy Hour include Local oysters, steamed mussels, shrimp cocktail, $5 cheese pizzas, $5/$6/$7 Nachos, $10 taco trio, and $9 meatball sliders. For drinks you can indulge in $5 wine, $3.25 domestic bottles, $5 craft beers, $5 imported beers, $5 canned cocktails (this includes Truly, Crown Royal, Loyal 9 and Ciroc Spritzers), $7 rails, $10 margaritas, and $6 Jameson Whiskey. In addition to Happy Hour, they also have football specials: $5 chili dog basket, cheese pizza, boneless wings, pretzels, nachos, crushes, Smirnoff drinks, wine and canned cocktails; $7 mozzarella sticks, beef nachos, ultra-premium well drinks and tequila cocktails and more...Honestly, this is a "divey" sports bar. Therefore, I highly recommend that you stick to the beer deals since I've had some overly tart, super sweet and hard to down drinks here. Even with the décor and planogram updates (Tanqueray Lounge), it is still divey. The food is mediocre and seems to be defrosted frozen foods--pretzels, wings, tots, egg rolls...etc. Nothing to boast about but it's a place to come and mingle with friends and watch sports. It's that simple. Weekly Highlights: Mondays: DJ starts right after football. It gets uncomfortably loud, so we tend to leave right after the game.Tuesday: Karaoke night starts at 9:30 PM (Happy Hour specials are all night long on Tuesdays but you have to show the bartenders the website posting otherwise YOUR CHECK WILL BE FULL PRICED). Wednesday: Ladies night which includes 50% off "some things" from 9:00 PM to close. Karaoke starts at 9:30 PM. Apparently they also have standup comedy but haven't seen or heard anyone go up.Thursday: DJ starts right after football.

This was our first time here. We actually booked tickets for the band. Honest lee, Soul.We haven't seen this band for nearly a year. Which is way too long. It seems that every time they were performing, we were traveling. We finally settled down long enough to see them. They really have you moving to the beat! We ate in the restaurant next door. Prior to our arrival time. Our server came over just a few minutes later. We purchased our drinks. We didn't purchase any food but had two drinks each. While enjoying the band. Which I really love. You should check them out. Seating is by table and chairs. We were seated at a table for four. Just keep in mind that if you don't have a party of four at your table. You will be seated with others. The seats are very close together. So be prepared to get up close and personal. They do have a nearby garage for parking, which was very reasonable for three hours. It was around $12. They also have the tavern, which is attached to this establishment, so we didn't have to go outside to re-enter. The band performance was amazing. This was the perfect date night for me and the hubby. We definitely plan on returning. If you make reservations Prior to your concert event for the Tavern. You will receive 10% off. Let's end the decade on a classic note! Takoma Station Tavern is as classic a place that I literally can recall. This minority owed establishment has been a Washington, DC mainstay since heaven knows how long. I've been going since the mid 80's to enjoy the best live local entertainment that the city has to offer, along with the best and strongest Long Island Iced teas imaginable. Takoma Station is a dark, intimate venue that I've taken countless amounts of people to from different parts of the country, and they have all fallen in love with this true DC jewel! When you come don't forget to order their wings... Bomb is an understatement!!Being a native Washingtonian, Takoma Station puts a huge smile on my face every time I walk in the doors.
