Lauren E. "Cafe Bueno is an awesome find here in Frederick and is a great lunch spot if you work nearby. This is a go-to at least once a month if you want some decent Mexican food. The food is good but it's not "write home about it". Most Mexican restaurants serve complimentary chips and salsa so if you crave those bad boys like I do anytime you eat mexican, you'll have to pay $4.99. I typically get a burrito for lunch but decided on their Chimichanga lunch special and it wasn't good or bad. It was crunchy and completely stuffed but a little watery inside, but the flavor was there. There is enough parking spaces to fit the amount of people that can fit inside this smaller restaurant but they do have outdoor seating which is nice in the warmer months. However, you do have to deal with the noise from East Street traffic since it's right there. The service is pretty good as well, but I would not count on anyone coming to check on you after you get your food. You typically have to stop someone and ask for a refill, although it depends on which waitstaff is there that day.All in all, I would recommend this place to someone!"

Te M. "$14 for the breakfast burrito tells you mostly everything you need to know. It was a really good burrito. the creamy salsa was very good. the breakfast potatoes also very good. Refried black beans great nuff said. Now for the serious stuff I hope someone at papis is reading this. The rice is ass. It was firm which happens but it also tasted like somebody made it with an old el paso taco seasoning packet. I think there's a highly skilled scandinavian chef in the back who is sick at making tiktok food but not basic mexican food(to be clear and fair, again, the mexican rice is my only gripe rn). Also the "4oz red rice" and the "8oz rice" are labeled differently so I thought i'd get two different types of rice but it was just two tiny containers of not good rice for $10.5 stars for me still but just order carefully. I probably wouldn't get something like enchiladas or chilaquiles here if that's even on their menu but i'm sure their nachos, burritos, fried items are great.Basically if you are annoyed by the pickled cabbage at mexican spots trend. don't get the rice. The breakfast burrito you might like"

The servers are always pleasant, witty and hilarious. We went for happy hour on a day they DIDN'T provide happy hour so the server made one up for us but also had us try a few different menu items. Since the menu can be hard to understand, the servers go over everything that you must try and should try. I always love when staff enjoys taking the time to explain things to a newcomer. Go off the cusp and try something different! Also, don't leave without trying their homemade desserts--fried ice cream was straight YUM."

I settled on the Tacos Dorados. As an appetizer, our table orders the Choriqueso. The queso with chorizo is as absolutely, positively on point. This menu item is a must order. You will not be disappointed. The Tacos Dorados was SLAPPIN'. I ordered carnita meat with the fried tacos, which were topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and cheese. It was so good. I was not so much fan of their rice and black beans, but regardless of that, the main entree was great. Check out my pic of the Steak Fajita Platter. It was ordered by a member of my party. He absolutely loved his order. The customer service here was superb! I mean exceptional! Our waitress was pleasant when chatting with us and taking our orders. Between the service and relaxed environment of the restaurant, the ambiance here was a home run. Taco Love is one of my new favorite spots when I am in the area."

Laura C. "I've heard so much about this spot and finally was able to try it recently! Tacos range from $5-6 each, but they are packed with meat (probably enough for two tacos at other restaurants) and the flavors are incredible. I was starving but after two tacos and some chips and guac, I was struggling to eat my third taco. The tacos come with two flour tortillas each, which probably didn't help with becoming so full so quickly. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious tacos and authentic flavors! Just note that there is very limited seating inside and you'll likely have to take your order somewhere else to eat."

Everything was fresh, with delicious flavors- hearty hearty plates, packed & smothered with ingredients! We ordered two combination platters featuring ample variety of classic dishes-to-go. Everything was well packaged: combination entrees together with side packaging seperating rice&beans. The portion sizes were quite large- easily two meals! I opted for the Chili Relleno, House Chili Relleno, & shredded beef Tamale-hubby got the chicken Enchilada, pork Tamale, & beef Burrito- everything was very distinguishable tastes of authentic flavor- I loved the green & red sauces, bold delectable profiles. The rice was moist fluffy. The refried beans were creamy with just the right amount of melted cheese. Reasonable prices- Overall, a solid choice for Mexican options- their menu offers immense variety- with great build-your-platter, pre-made combination platter, or unique entree dish possibilities. Can't wait to eat my way through the menu-though I imagine I will quickly develop a go-to craving for the choices I made this visit haha"

The restaurant has a nice water feature, is kept clean throughout, has a full bar area, and Esteban did a fine job as our server. The waitstaff continually tended to us and serviced us at the opportune times of the meal. We shared a "La Clasica" Margarita (House Tequila, Triple Sec, Orange Liquor, and sour mix). The drink was perfectly made and we enjoyed every drop. We shared the following and both were delicious: Albondigas de Pollo (Spanish style chicken meatballs, sautéed with almonds and Spanish brandy cream sauce). Pollo al Ajillo (Diced chicken breast, sautéed with whole garlic, tomatoes, onions, brandy and herb butter). For dessert, we had a Flan (créme caramel). It had the perfect amount of sweetness, texture, and disappeared in seconds. I highly recommend Jalapeños and try to add it to your Annapolis itinerary."

Kris P. "La Calle is a beautiful venue located in busy Fells. Fells has come a long way, and La Calle's addition is a regalo. On a very busy weekend on South Broadway, La Calle's storefront is classic and unassuming. Met with simplistic aesthetics, the host is swift in the process and sat once reservations are confirmed. Rows of tables are precise and aligned in perfect distance while not rubbing too close elbows with other guests. Large parties are easily accommodated, and the bar is beautifully visible from the main dining space, the kitchen is open and alluring aroma saturates on a vibeful packed evening.La Calle's drink offerings deliver an impressive selection of all things tequila including mezcal and anejo. Draft is also available, wine is also on the shelf for those who prefer classic pairing. During my visit, I decided on a Mexican mojito and a Venenosa Raicilla, and empanadas del dia (carne) to start. The drinks were strong and the Raicilla was outstanding as I remember... y las empanadas de carne estaban deliciosas! Morgan, our server was such a delight! Attentive and quick, she balanced her service on a busy night, taking time to interact with the guests. I appreciate she took time and knowledge to suggest La Calle's signature Pollo con Mole. Authentic in every way, the dish was perfect. The depth in flavor is robust and serving size was healthy. Is there a way to order the mole to go?! Oh my, I wanna!! New York strip steak with charred vegetables was delicious, the demi glaze gave way to exotic flavors bite after bite, penultimate swipe of the last vegetable and sauce. The side of yuca cooked perfectly crisp was a tease, and great compliment to dishes served. All incredibly delicious. The bar was a great final stop to my visit at La Calle. After dinner cocktails and final sips of Raicilla reminiscent of days on the riviera under the wide open skies under the stars, on a brisk evening swinging on a maca. Hospitality by all servers and the bartenders were all exceptional. I especially loved the murial of Frida. Those who know me, Kris loves her Frida Kahlo... es cierto, la vida es muy buena.La Calle is accessible to all. Restrooms are unisex and spacious. Parking is very limited in the area as most know.Muchas gracias por todo, La Calle. Volvere, pronto si!"

They have a bar, but no stools to sit at... you can be near it though! The happy hour is Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:30, and it was around 5:30 when I arrived. Thankfully, this is one of those spots that provides chips & salsa once you're settled... yay! That salsa was really good -- flavorful, and I could tell it was homemade. I started off with a margarita that was really good! Then I got guacamole, an order of tamales and a sangrita later on. The guac and sangrita are easily the most aesthetically pleasing items that I got. Everything was delicious, and honestly I have no complaints about the place.
