"First time ever trying Indian food for myself, and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and a close friend joined me here for dinner, and we ordered family style as suggested by my friend. Waitress was great and attentive as we tried describing a dish we had previously had and wanted to get but couldn't find on the menu. She suggested the potatoes and cauliflower with curry styled sauce, which was similar to the dish my husband wanted. We didn't want to have food like butter chicken that we all had tried before, so we branched out some in our pickings but still kept the spice level mild to medium in most dishes. The best part of the meal was the garlic Naan bread that was insanely good. The entrees were great as well, but I have no idea what we ordered. The pictures provided will have to be the most info I can give. We enjoyed the complimentary wine with dinner, too! There's a decent amount of street parking right in front of the restaurant. We would definitely return here for another visit! Jake n kevin"
"We randomly passed this place on our way out from the Fort McHenry national park. We were hungry so we decided to stop by. So glad we did because it was literally one of the best food I've ever eaten! Highly recommend! Check this place out!"

"It's been a while since I was here, but the closings of my favorite Indian buffets led me to try again The food is much better, and while the buffet is small, it touches all the bases. Highlight: tandoori chicken was moist, tender, and flavorful. Naan is very good if you catch it while it's still hot. Goat curry was tender and richly but mildly seasoned. Disappointment: Butter chicken did not have the hearty flavor I expected. I did enjoy the varying levels of heat, though I do like a nice scalp sweat. Cordial service, and at $16.95 a reasonable value. It ain't Sapphire, but it's back in the rotation."
"This place is awesome!! I don't understand how it only has 3.5 stars. I got the shrimp korma and chicken tikka masala and they were both so dang good. Such yummy flavors, and so filling. The naan (both regular and garlic) is also fantastic, and so is the pistachio ice cream! Everything tasted so fresh and healthy. Highly recommend."
"I came here on a whim, because I was in the neighborhood. I ordered a spinach paneer and some Naan, I can say the portion sizes were great but it lacked flavor in the overall dish. I did not get the pop of the aromatic flavor they are suppose to be known for. In the past I have had their tikki pizza and that was delicious."
"This was a little treasure that I happened to find randomly. It gives the neighborhood bakery vibe in any Indian town and if you're an 90s kid, you would totally relate. We got the chocolate and butterscotch pastry, and the cream roll and those were delicious. So fresh and not overly sweet. We also got the chicken puff that was slightly bland, but their Frankie was sooo good! Will definitely be going again!"
"The meen kulambu (fish curry) is 20/10- it tastes exactly like it would if you were in India. All the South Indian dishes are 10/10! Servers are always friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for authentic South Indian food"
"LOVE this place!! I come here often mainly for dinner--arriving into the complex, the parking lot is very dark and not well lit, but don't be fooled, once you get inside it's well lit and has a nice fancy vibe. Food is AMAZING! Top recommendations are the Chicken Tikka Masala/Butter Chicken, Lamb Shank, Garlic Naan or Goat Cheese Naan and Fish Curry! Their Butter Chicken is the best I've had in the DMV area--so delicious especially if you dip the naan bread in the masala sauce--I usually request for extra sauce on the side. The Lamb Vindaloo and Beef Tenderloin are good too! Portions are huge, so expect to get very full.Service is always great--love sitting at the bar because all the bartenders are super cool. They have a full bar and offer lot of the high end whiskey/scotch/bourbon that you don't see too often in other restaurants. The owner comes around too and always stops by to say hi to us."
"This Indian restaurant is fantastic! The sampler plate is full of delicious flavors, and the samosas are a must-try. The staff is super friendly too. Highly recommend it for anyone craving great Indian food!"
"Fabulous experience.Phenomenal food.Super flavorful cuisine and lovely ambiance.Me and a colleague dropped by here for lunch yesterday since we were in the area. He comes here all the time and I told him I had it on my Yelp list so we came here just before their 3p mid afternoon closure. They reopen for dinner though, but we'd be gone from the area by then so we got here right about 2:35p.The owner Moses was there and helped serve us. Very nice gentleman. Very hospitable and humble. We had a smorgasbord of delights too! I had curry goat and basmati rice, some wonderful chicken wings, and Long Island iced tea. Those wings were crispy 'n hot. Burn your mouth fresh out the oil hot.We both split a LAMB KHEEMA DOSAI. Wonderful! Imagine a long crepe roll stuff with rice and lamb. Delicious! And definitely unique.Thin, crispy rice & lentil crepe stuffed with spicy ground lamb. Served with Sambar and Coconut Chutney. First time trying it and super tasty!LAMB SUKKA was on the menu too.And these two creamy desserts:Both reminded me of crème anglaise, which I love.KHEERRich, creamy, decadent sweet rice, broken wheat and vermicelli pudding, flavoured with cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews and pistachiosRASMALAISweet, saffron milk infused cheese curd ( chhena ) flattened dumplings, soaked in cardamom infused clotted cream ( malai ). Garnished with pistachiosI eat lots of Indian food and this was some of the best I've had in a while. Get yourself here if you haven't been and even if you have. Beautiful interiors, lovely bathrooms, nice onsite parking in the small strip mall area next to the restaurant. Everything is two thumbs up here. You can tell the pride that's taken in this business."
"I'm here traveling solo, although I lived here a long while back. I've answered the calling for crab cakes (twice), and Indian cuisine is always a good choice. I searched a bit and thought this place was my best option.I was met at the front door and taken to a seat of my preference. They quicklyBrought me papadum that were crispy and not oily. With a side of chutneys that were obviously made in house.I ordered - vegetable pakora- saag paneer- chicken korma- garlic naan- and a side of raitaThe pakora came out first, hot and crispy. They were super flavorful and the vegetables starred as the highlight of the dish.Ok, I'll speed this up for us: the naan was toasty on the outside and warm and light inside. The korma was filled with large chunks of chicken in an airy cashew sauce. The saag was a deep rich green and yet still quite creamy. And the paneer was that perfect texture that I've never been able to replicate at home. The raita was thick and creamy and a tiny bit sweet, the perfect counterbalance to the heat of the entrées.I love Indian food. I've enjoyed it from London to LA. Not every restaurant I've been to is a gem, but Bombay Nights definitely is. The staff is endearingly friendly, the food was meticulously prepared and garnished... and it was delicious. If you're ever near this place and craving Indian, please check it out. (There physical menu is awesome by the way)If you live near here, also check it out, then you'll see why I'd make it a regular spot.- remind me another day to tell the story of 2 kind gentleman at a restaurant who introduced me to Taj Mahal b"
"REALLY really delicious garlic basil naan. They forgot to give me the garlic naan, so I couldn't compare them. The butter chicken was a few pieces of chicken in A LOT of soup. The Chana Masala was pretty good, no heat despite a middle number. I got takeout but the inside looks very clean and nice, and a pretty good spot for exclusive dining. The person who gave me my food was smiling and happy, so I want to go back and try it!"

The portions of their takeout orders have improved dramatically. Food is always delicious and piping hot. You can always choose your spice level, which is a plus. On the higher end of options, but this is my go to Indian takeout in the city.

Our party of three wanted to try dine in Nepalese food. We picked Himalayan due to good reviews. Unfortunately, the night was cold and rainy. Also, there was no private parking lot, street parking only. So we decided to do take-out instead. We ordered online and the foods were ready when I walked in. We ordered chicken Tandoori sekuwa from the Nepalese menu. From the Indian menu. We went with lamb saag, buttered naan, and veggie pakoras. Two free containers of rice came with our entres. Both proteins were tasty, moist, and tender. The seasoning of the saag was so good. It made the saag so addictive. Both entres were full of meats. The flavorful veggie pakoras were crunchy but not oily. The naan was just ok. We really enjoyed our dinner from Himalayan.

It was a day when hubby and I were craving some Indian food after having something amazing out in the west coast. After Bombay in White Oak closed its doors the search is on for another spot that tastes like a home cooked meal. Upon arriving we were informed we had missed their buffet style offered, oh well, I have not been less happy with the average amount of Indian food in front of me. We decided on the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, and more garlic naan with our plain naan. Wow wow wow, I'm drooling recalling this visit and just how much food we ate before bursting at our seams! The flavor could make me cry happy tears, the naan couldn't have tasted fresher unless maybe had I went to India. The Chicken and the lamb were sooo tender, it basically falls off the bones and right into my rice. I would say my favorite moment dining in was when someone's uncle or dad peeked at us from behind the door to the kitchen. It warmed my heart to know he made our food because we felt like we were home having a family meal! I would definitely recommend this spot for a meal made with love like our own family would do. Do be patient, delicious food takes time and it's totally worth it!

We order bacon & ranch pizza and chicken tikka masala pizza last night from Olympia Masala and had it delivered due to snow. We were a little skeptical about ordering pizza from here since we hadn't before. And OMG, the pizza is really very good! The crust is so deliciously yeasty and garlicky, the ingredients are so fresh and yummy. I cannot pick my favorite of the two pizzas. Thank you, Olympia Masala in Parkville for being so reliable and delicious!

Cake Wala can be described in two words: excellent choice!Parking was easy enough to find in this lot, but be warned that it's very busy! The line to place an order for Cake Wala was out the door, but we were able to place our order within 10 minutes and receive our food within 15 minutes! There is no seating inside, only tables outside. Bundle up if you plan on sitting outside during a wind day, like my friends and I ended up doing! I came to Cake Wala with friends initially for chaat, but ended up ordering cake slices as well. For chaat, we ordered samosa chaat, bhel puri, vada pav (not pictured), and gol gappa. My favorites were the vada pav and bhel puri because both were flavorful and really fresh. The gol gappa did not quite satisfy our craving because something was missing. The samosa chaat was great, but dredged in chutney and it became difficult to take in the entire dish. The cake slices were the real stars of the show, namely the falooda and rasmalai cake slices. These slices were not overly sweet and the true essence of falooda and rasmalai was captured perfectly in this slice. The black forest and tiramisu fell flat because the cake itself was not very moist and the icing was a bit hard. Thanks Cake Wala for a great Sunday afternoon turned evening! I'm sure we'll be back for more chaat and cake soon - looking forward to trying new flavors!

Out of this world chicken thaali. Simply amazing!! There was an abundance of each food item, and the server was so kind to explain each one. Lunchtime was an enjoyable experience; gorgeous decor and lovely Indian music, too.

My friend has been talking about this place forever and I finally got to go with her. First of all, I'm glad she drove. This place is tucked away in Maple Lawn and is hidden by greenery. I gave my friend the side eye and asked her if she was trying to get away from me.But once we were inside, the place was lovely. There is also a wonderful outdoor space but it was raining so we just sat by the window. My go to entree at Indian restaurants is Chicken Tikka Marsala. But this day we just got drinks, appetizers and a dessert. The appetizers were nothing like I had ever had and an Indian restaurant. I have never seen tuna in an Indian restaurant and this tuna appetizer is as good and the spices were surprising and amazing. The meat samosa was shaped like a big pop tart, but so much better. Another surprise was goat cheese in naan. I don't know if I can go back. Another surprising dish was the Palak Chaat. I have no idea how they got the spinach so crispy and it still held together. The drinks were also tasty and I'm sorry I didn't take some chai to go. There are still some appetizers I need to try. It might take a couple of trips to get to Chicken Tikka Marsala and that is ok.

"Great food and drink on a cold snowy day. I've been eyeing this place for a while for the buffet style line up advertised online but I ended up trying a few dishes. I enjoyed the wide array of drinks including a mocktail list. I tried the blueberry sparkler which had the perfect amount of sweet with a few gummy worms to garnish the top lol. My server ( it says mani on the receipt but I'm sure it was another name) was funny and attentive, checking on me every so often to see if I needed anything. Starting with an appetizer of Panni poori/ Golgapappa I've been seeing on my fyp I just had to give em a try. The crispy shells you fill up with a cold mixture the raw onion and spices gave it a full flavor with a mixture to pour over gave it a refreshing kick. My main dish garlic naan (nice full pieces for one serving)and the curry goat that was delicious and fell right off the bone! I love that you have the option to pick a spice level (mines was 8 and I loved it). Overall everything was great clean bathrooms and family style seating for big groups. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more of what this restaurant has to offer"
"Amongst the most famous of all Indian dishes, brimming with flavor, scintillating spice, a dynamic texture - BIRYANI!I have sampled various biryanis for my review, and this establishment is fantastic. Salt of the earth mixes with the fire of peppers in a beautiful medley of flavors in each bite. The rice is majestic as a Hyderabadi Nawab and topped with a cooling raita and savory salan. Unique ingredients from the jungles of Andhra & Telangana are used which you will never find in more ordinary and unimpressive institutions.5/5 STARS - BIRYANI JOINT IS ON POINT!"
"After my second visit to The Mango Grove, I can confidently recommend this restaurant for its clean environment, friendly service, and variety of options.During my first visit, we tried their lunch buffet, which is only available on weekends. On weekdays, you can choose from six different meat combos or vegetarian options. There was plenty of food, and the meal included naan. Naturally, I had to finish off this delicious lunch with their authentic chai, made without tea bags! The combination of flavors, the selected vegetable sides, the tender chicken tandoori, and the perfectly cooked and spicy curry goat were all outstanding. Honestly, everything about the meal was just right."
"I love coming here for Indian food. Nestled in south side marketplace but still low key.The food is bussing lolDecided to try something new today and get Lamb Pasanda, and it did not disappoint. It was fantastic! The Keema Naan is not my favorite but it's not too bad. I'm just used to only getting garlic Naan. It gets busy during lunch buffet so come check them out during dinner"
"I've been to Mount Everest twice now - once to eat in and once to pick up takeout. I love it. The food is delicious; the menu has a little bit of everything; the restaurant is casual and traditional and charming; and the service is great. The menu has a lot to offer, from some traditional Indian dishes (samosas, pakoras, saag, Tikka Masala, biryani, chana masala) to Nepali specialties (momo - dumplings, chow chow - noodles, and more). If you love Indian food, you'll like Mount Everest. If you love Nepali food, you'll like Mount Everest. If you've never tried either, give it a shot. So far I've tried: Himalay Junelly (GREAT; we've eaten it twice), Chicken Chow Chow (delicious!), Bone-in goat curry (yum), Mt. Everest Momo (great), garlic naan (also great), and Kashmiri naan (amazing). I love that we live walking distance to this great Nepali restaurant right on the Avenue in Hampden. We'll be regulars for dine in and takeout!"
"Authentic western Indian (Gujarati) vegetarian food which is quite rare in this area. Also has Indo-Chinese dishes and the usual Indian dishes if you're so inclined. Tasty Indian street food, too!"
"Saturday was the first time we visited the new location. The last time I went when they were still next to Chik-Fil-A was a disappointing experience. Went with some co-workers for a lunch buffet in the middle of the week and the buffet was small and food was very bland.Fast forward 3 years. They are now located in the space formerly occupied by Mongolian Grill. After some Saturday errands, the wife and I were going to try out Royal Taj near Green Turtle for lunch but the place was packed. Since we had already convinced ourselves we wanted Indian food, we decided to try Mirchi Wok. I remembered my less-than-stellar experience but decided to suck it up since she wanted Indian. We walked in and there were only 3 other tables occupied, which was odd after seeing Royal Taj filled to the brim. Things weren't looking good for this place. They've re-used the serving space left behind by Mongolian Grill so it appears there is much more food offerings than their old location. The foods are labeled so you know what you're getting for the most part. Seating space also increased. After the first few bites, my old memory of their bland food disappeared and was replaced by the yumminess of the naan, the goat, the curry potatoes, and the fragrant rice. The food quality was much improved. I don't know if tandoori chicken is supposed to be dry but every time I've had it at any Indian restaurant (whether buffet or off the menu), it's been dry. That was really the only thing I did not enjoy at lunch. They have soups, salads, and dessert, too.The servers were very attentive. Even though they leave the water pitcher at the table with you, they were constantly stopping by our table to refill our water glasses for us. Plates were cleared in a timely manner. About 15 minutes into our meal, the place started filling up with many people, most of whom were Indian (so that's a good sign). We overheard the couple behind us tell the server and the owner (a nice lady) that they were vegan. She went over their menu what vegan offerings they had. I stopped listening early on since I could barely understand her English but it was nice of her to take the time to go over the food choices with them. When they first arrived at the restaurant, she took them around to the food items to explain what they were. I wish we would've asked somebody what this and that sauce was but we tend to just try and experiment. Will have to try the vegetarian offerings at Mango Grove next."
"We had a great carry out meal. The veggie samosas were excellent, perfect crust and delicious. The salmon tikka and veggie tikka masala were mildly spicy as requested and were both excellent. Naan - perfect texture and yummy. This was the fifth time we have had carry out from them and there will be sixth, seventh eighth..."
"The best Indian food I've ever had. Fresh, local ingredients are simply yet deliciously prepared. From classics to new combinations, India Express will blow your mind."
"Located in somewhat of a "hole in the wall" plaza with ample free parking. Got some takeout including the butter chicken masala and some curries and naan. No comment on ambiance or service, very little interaction. The flavors were nice, but the meat was dry and a bit lacking. Drenched in the sauce which is great for dipping the naan, but at their prices, I expected a bit more meat. The food was picked at before I could snap the pic, but still. Just seems like something I could make at home with jar sauces... the sauces won't be as good, but I'm sure my meat wouldn't be so dry. Still a pretty decent meal, solid 3 stars."
"Been meaning to try this place since I saw them move in not that long ago. Overall a solid place! They do have indoor dining and takeout. When I came to pick up my order there were two families at different tables well separated. Masks are required to enter. I was kind of disappointed that I came at 6:15 to pickup an online order for 6:00 and they seemed surprised that I was there already; I think it took them about 10 minutes to get everything together for me. The interior is simply decorated by pretty: there is a Buddha in Lotus pose, a TV playing India's top music videos, and some art on the walls. The food will not disappoint. I like spicy food, and the default of Medium on their online ordering has a kick, so my family had to make sure to cover things in raita to cool it down. We got palak paneer, which was good, but I think they could've cut the paneer cubes a tad smaller; they were huge! The chicken tikka masala was very tasty, though it was missing something... maybe salt? The shrimp curry had a nice spicy gravy to go with it and the malai kofta (my favorite) was superb. We got a bread basket, which came with various types of naan and tandoor roti. I'd love to see them add poori as an option, but if you have a family that loves bread for Indian food, this is a great way to get a bunch and try the various types. A couple of mango lassis to wash it down and it is a solid meal. The food's good and the prices are reasonable. I'd consider coming back."
"Great food and service. The food taste as good as home made Indian food.I have gone back many times and the food is always fresh!!!"
"First time trying Clove & Cardamom and it was a wonderful first impression! -Service was friendly and fast; -Nice bright space with a variety of seating options; -Easy free surface parking; -Creative menu with more traditional renditions along side fun fusions too!ex: we shared a Chaat Samosa Naan Pizza as a table, and I had Panner butter masala and mango Lassi as for my meal. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back and would certainly recommend, especially if you are by Columbia Mall/Merriweather."
"Delicious - even delivered (not eaten on premises) everything was delicious and fresh and perfect temperature. Very well packed.Highly recommend!"
"Fantastic goat dum biryani and Vijayawada boneless chicken biryani. One of the best biryanis around here. Also loved the dhaba chicken curry. Can't wait to try many, many more dishes.UPDATE : Picked up some more goat dum biryani along with curry leaf chicken, egg fried rice and chicken Tikka masala. Haven't tried the chicken Tikka yet but everything else was top-notch! Absolutely yummy!"
"Top notch. Friendly staff, great service, smooth atmosphere. After samosas had a round of classic dishes family style, then rice pudding desert. It was all excellent. Recommend!"
"A 3.5 but rounding up for local. Honestly, I hate buffets, but I did decently enjoy this lunch that I went to without understanding what I was doing. I had never tried Kumari in the past so I was excited to say something new and then learned upon sitting down that they offer buffet lunches on the weekends for about $18 all in. The service was really spectacular considering, and the tea was really delightful. Mango Lassi was too sweet. The space is quite large and they have seating on both sides of the restaurant. This is a no-frills restaurant and sometimes you have to grab silverware and napkins yourself but with two people working there and a restaurant full of people I thought the service was great. If you like a buffet, then I would very much recommend this place for you for Indian / Nepalese food."
"This has got to be my go to restaurant for when I want Indian food to go! I love that they have the "build your own bowl" option so that I can choose multiple options. The portion sizes are so worth the money you pay for. Staff are super friendly, and their food is so tasty!"
"Great lunchtime buffet . $20.00 includes every dish imaginable. Large dining area. Quick and courteous staff."
"The service here is top notch! The staff are very attentive and friendly. It's a small set up but had ample dining space. It did not feel too cramped. I ordered the tandoori chicken and it comes with white basmati rice. The tandoori chicken comes out sizzling! The chicken was well seasoned and moist and the rice was cooked well - not too hard, not mushy."
"Had a wonderful new year's eve dinner here. We decided to come here to eat spontaneously so didn't make reservation, since we came during the in-between meal time which was around 1600, and was able to get a table before the crowds came in. Service- wonderful, top notch, very attentive and considerate, personable Food- delicious, good portions i especially like how they categorize the menu is very easy to navigate.Drinks- quality and delicious, loved my smoked old fashioned & modified Delhi New Delhi Atmosphere- royal not kidding, felt upscale Value- $$$ and worth itLocation- convenient with ample parking Highly recommend by IG@WineDinenVacay"
"The food is great. Everything I've had from there is great. The wait time is never long I always order from here when I need a club sandwich, the fruit bowl is huge for the price."
"Best local carry out for Nepalese and Indian food. Small very modest eat in dining area with BYOB option."
