"I'm still holding on to the leftover sauce from the Butter Chicken in my fridge from 3 days ago...I can't let it go. I'm looking for some chicken to throw in there to be coated by its goodness. My goodness. I'm eternally grateful to God for giving someone the idea of this restaurant and their Butter Chicken.Butter Chicken: very rich, creamy, delicious sauce. For sure the best Butter Chicken I've had and I've been on a hard search for it.Lamb Korma: really great flavor but I think I prefer the Lamb Korma from Amber Spice. I don't want to take away from this one though because it was really good. The Lamb was cooked brilliantly. It was perfectly tender, probably the best cooked I've experienced. The sauce was very rich and creamy but I feel like it was just missing a little mmph.... But it could be because the Butter Chicken was the absolute star of the show and didn't have time to shine on its own.Garlic naan: good size and taste, no complaints!Mango Lassi: had too much of a sour, tangy taste for my liking but I'm sure some may like it this way. Was definitely sweet... More yogurts than what I prefer... But could be someone else's preference."
"This was the BEST Indian food I've ever had. Hands down. It's a lovely little spot (albeit in a strip mall) that is tastefully decorated and smells amazing even from the parking lot. It was impeccable service and the FOOD. Oh my goodness. There were four of us and we shared 4 different entrees. The Mixed Grill was perfect because it gave you a few of the proteins in different spices. The black and yellow lentils were amazing. The NAAN was warm and crispy on the edges and soft and fluffy in the middle. We had a bottle of Indian Chenin Blanc that went great with our meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and we left not one bite uneaten. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. If you like Indian food- The Jewel of India in White Oak is where its at!"

"LOVE this place!! I come here often mainly for dinner--arriving into the complex, the parking lot is very dark and not well lit, but don't be fooled, once you get inside it's well lit and has a nice fancy vibe. Food is AMAZING! Top recommendations are the Chicken Tikka Masala/Butter Chicken, Lamb Shank, Garlic Naan or Goat Cheese Naan and Fish Curry! Their Butter Chicken is the best I've had in the DMV area--so delicious especially if you dip the naan bread in the masala sauce--I usually request for extra sauce on the side. The Lamb Vindaloo and Beef Tenderloin are good too! Portions are huge, so expect to get very full.Service is always great--love sitting at the bar because all the bartenders are super cool. They have a full bar and offer lot of the high end whiskey/scotch/bourbon that you don't see too often in other restaurants. The owner comes around too and always stops by to say hi to us."
"A favorite for my mom and I. We used to live right down the street and would come often. The food is delicious and comes out quickly. The owner is very nice and will take his time to talk through the menu and give suggestions. I highly recommend checking them out, they are a little tucked away in the plaza behind Ihop but very convenient parking and right off Rockville Pike."
"I thought the food here was good. The samosas were crispy and tasty. I also liked the butter chicken. The Rogan Josh dish had lamb in it and I liked the flavor of the sauce. The service was good too."
"This is my family's go to for Indian food in the Crofton area. The service is always great here and the food is on point. We just came here again for my brother's birthday dinner and ordered everything to share. We started with the Kashmiri Naan which was quite good. Not what we were expecting as it was pink inside but we all really enjoyed it. We also got a full portion of the Tandoori Chicken, Malai Kofta, and Chicken Korma. Everything was so delicious. Lots of flavor and very filling portions which left us with some leftovers. They gave us a complimentary birthday mango ice cream dessert for my brother that we all enjoyed. This place is so good and I love how generous and friendly the staff and owner are. Definitely a place we'll keep visiting!"
"Good Indian restaurant in Baltimore. Cute little restaurant with fast service and a good variety of authentic Indian food. Great flavors and great portions for sharing!"
"I'm here traveling solo, although I lived here a long while back. I've answered the calling for crab cakes (twice), and Indian cuisine is always a good choice. I searched a bit and thought this place was my best option.I was met at the front door and taken to a seat of my preference. They quicklyBrought me papadum that were crispy and not oily. With a side of chutneys that were obviously made in house.I ordered - vegetable pakora- saag paneer- chicken korma- garlic naan- and a side of raitaThe pakora came out first, hot and crispy. They were super flavorful and the vegetables starred as the highlight of the dish.Ok, I'll speed this up for us: the naan was toasty on the outside and warm and light inside. The korma was filled with large chunks of chicken in an airy cashew sauce. The saag was a deep rich green and yet still quite creamy. And the paneer was that perfect texture that I've never been able to replicate at home. The raita was thick and creamy and a tiny bit sweet, the perfect counterbalance to the heat of the entrées.I love Indian food. I've enjoyed it from London to LA. Not every restaurant I've been to is a gem, but Bombay Nights definitely is. The staff is endearingly friendly, the food was meticulously prepared and garnished... and it was delicious. If you're ever near this place and craving Indian, please check it out. (There physical menu is awesome by the way)If you live near here, also check it out, then you'll see why I'd make it a regular spot.- remind me another day to tell the story of 2 kind gentleman at a restaurant who introduced me to Taj Mahal b"
"Fabulous experience.Phenomenal food.Super flavorful cuisine and lovely ambiance.Me and a colleague dropped by here for lunch yesterday since we were in the area. He comes here all the time and I told him I had it on my Yelp list so we came here just before their 3p mid afternoon closure. They reopen for dinner though, but we'd be gone from the area by then so we got here right about 2:35p.The owner Moses was there and helped serve us. Very nice gentleman. Very hospitable and humble. We had a smorgasbord of delights too! I had curry goat and basmati rice, some wonderful chicken wings, and Long Island iced tea. Those wings were crispy 'n hot. Burn your mouth fresh out the oil hot.We both split a LAMB KHEEMA DOSAI. Wonderful! Imagine a long crepe roll stuff with rice and lamb. Delicious! And definitely unique.Thin, crispy rice & lentil crepe stuffed with spicy ground lamb. Served with Sambar and Coconut Chutney. First time trying it and super tasty!LAMB SUKKA was on the menu too.And these two creamy desserts:Both reminded me of crème anglaise, which I love.KHEERRich, creamy, decadent sweet rice, broken wheat and vermicelli pudding, flavoured with cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews and pistachiosRASMALAISweet, saffron milk infused cheese curd ( chhena ) flattened dumplings, soaked in cardamom infused clotted cream ( malai ). Garnished with pistachiosI eat lots of Indian food and this was some of the best I've had in a while. Get yourself here if you haven't been and even if you have. Beautiful interiors, lovely bathrooms, nice onsite parking in the small strip mall area next to the restaurant. Everything is two thumbs up here. You can tell the pride that's taken in this business."
"After my second visit to The Mango Grove, I can confidently recommend this restaurant for its clean environment, friendly service, and variety of options.During my first visit, we tried their lunch buffet, which is only available on weekends. On weekdays, you can choose from six different meat combos or vegetarian options. There was plenty of food, and the meal included naan. Naturally, I had to finish off this delicious lunch with their authentic chai, made without tea bags! The combination of flavors, the selected vegetable sides, the tender chicken tandoori, and the perfectly cooked and spicy curry goat were all outstanding. Honestly, everything about the meal was just right."
"The service here is top notch! The staff are very attentive and friendly. It's a small set up but had ample dining space. It did not feel too cramped. I ordered the tandoori chicken and it comes with white basmati rice. The tandoori chicken comes out sizzling! The chicken was well seasoned and moist and the rice was cooked well - not too hard, not mushy."
"This has got to be my go to restaurant for when I want Indian food to go! I love that they have the "build your own bowl" option so that I can choose multiple options. The portion sizes are so worth the money you pay for. Staff are super friendly, and their food is so tasty!"

Ordered delivery and was not disappointed! I had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The chicken dish was very mild, no spice at all. While the flavor was good, I do wish it was spicier. The garlic naan was yummy and the rice was cooked perfectly. Definitely was a nice meal overall.

Went for lunch and it was wonderful. Vegetable biryani w shrimp and some garlic naan hit the spot! My ex husband was Indian, so very familiar with the food. This was very good and I would definitely recommend and return. The biryani was light and flavorful with out being overly spicy. The naan was buttery w big pieces of garlic on the outside. Staff was friendly and attentive. Meals were brought quickly and water was always full. Great restaurant. Worth a try!

My friend has been talking about this place forever and I finally got to go with her. First of all, I'm glad she drove. This place is tucked away in Maple Lawn and is hidden by greenery. I gave my friend the side eye and asked her if she was trying to get away from me.But once we were inside, the place was lovely. There is also a wonderful outdoor space but it was raining so we just sat by the window. My go to entree at Indian restaurants is Chicken Tikka Marsala. But this day we just got drinks, appetizers and a dessert. The appetizers were nothing like I had ever had and an Indian restaurant. I have never seen tuna in an Indian restaurant and this tuna appetizer is as good and the spices were surprising and amazing. The meat samosa was shaped like a big pop tart, but so much better. Another surprise was goat cheese in naan. I don't know if I can go back. Another surprising dish was the Palak Chaat. I have no idea how they got the spinach so crispy and it still held together. The drinks were also tasty and I'm sorry I didn't take some chai to go. There are still some appetizers I need to try. It might take a couple of trips to get to Chicken Tikka Marsala and that is ok.

OM is the best Indian restaurant in the area. The cozy, welcoming ambiance and attentive service, led by owner Luis, make you feel right at home. The Butter Chicken is creamy and perfectly spiced, while the Lamb Biryani is aromatic and flavorful. Generous portions provide great value. Overall, OM Indian Restaurant is perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.

Discovered this nice little restaurant recently. Warm greetings on arrival, great, decor and lighting. Very nice. Writing this review after my 2nd visit here.I am new to the cuisine (this is my 3rd dining experience with the culture), so on my first visit, I asked the server for clarity before ordering. He was very patient and made suggestions based on my likes. The food is VERY good here - my favorite so far are the lentils. I plan to return to try their weekend lunch buffet so experience the variety of offerings.Note: comparing to my first experience in the VA area, the prices here are much higher. But location is convenient, and the owner is onsite, and greets each diner. This makes it worth it for me.

My husband and I grabbed take out from here - convenient location on Cold Spring Ave but parking is limited. We ordered 2 orders of the chicken tikka masala and it was $50. For this price I was disappointed because this was good, but not great. The sauce was very watery and could have been more flavorful. Like I said, for this price point my standards are higher, but this taste matches some much more inexpensive Indian take out we've had in Baltimore. Everything did taste very fresh though! Service was quick and our order was correct. My husband said that the dining room ambiance was very nice if you choose to eat dine in!

Chicken tikka masala was excellent; I asked for very hot and it was great! Saag paneer was also good. Pakoras were a bit salty but overall would order basics from here again.

"Minerva used to be fantastic but has since gone downhill. The restaurant looks worn, dirty and dated. The food quality has also gone down. We used to love the buffet but now, it looks so unappealing. The food has become so spicy it's inedible; (and I do like some spice). Pakak Paneer isn't supposed to be spicy! Many fewer choices now on the lunch buffet. They're mostly serving rice, bean or lentil filler dishes and -few main dishes with chicken/meat. At $19 per person for lunch this is not worth it anymore at all. The Biryani had only specks of meat in it which most people pick out leaving none left for other diners, so several times I needed to ask service staff if they could please add more meat. The rice pudding now looks like water, and gone are the abundant choices. After trying it 4 times in the last 6 months with the same issues, I'm done. Never again"
"Great lunchtime buffet . $20.00 includes every dish imaginable. Large dining area. Quick and courteous staff."
"When my kids were younger, weed, frequent basmati restaurant often. One big reason was because I have three sons, and they will eat me out of house and home so having the benefit of going to an all you can eat buffet was a blessing. On this day, we just decided on a whim to head up. Unfortunately, we missed the buffet, but we ordered some of our classic favorites, we started with the two piece, veggie vegetable samosas and decided to try the Mulligawtny soup. Both were delicious. The soup was ground lentils, with a nice spice level. Not over the top but just enough to make you know it was in there. The samosas were served with three different sauces. all of which were delicious. One was sweet, one not so sweet and one that had a nice kick to it. I couldn't decide which one I liked the best so I put all three of them on. The Samosas were just like I remembered crispy on the outside with smashed vegetables, potatoes, peas, carrots, with a curry sort of flavored undertone that was just delicious! I actually think a serving size of three would be better but I might just be greedyThe tandoori chicken, sizzling and generously portioned came out with peppers and onions. It wasn't spicy or is it supposed to be, but very well seasoned, along with a large bowl of basmati rice. It was good to return to Basmati. Next time we won't late so far in between visits!"
"We had some very good food recently at Bombay Bistro. We hosted a group of four of us recently for dinner at Bombay Bistro in the middle of downtown Rockville. The food was very good, though there were a few hiccups in service and surroundings. We were fortunate to get one of the few parking spaces in the tiny lot, and were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately, the booth they seated us at was extremely tight, even though the hostess tried to move the table a little. So we quickly asked for a non-booth table, and were seated nearby. There's not a lot of extra space in the dining room, so one of the staff was insistent about taking my jacket off my chair and hanging it up for me. That behind us, we perused the interesting menu and started by sharing the samosas and the chutney sampler with pappadoms, along with a mango lassi and a Kingfisher beer for me. We were also presented with a little amuse-bouche of a little glass containing a dumpling--it might have been the menu's vegetable bhajia--which was a lovely bite to start off with.We then ordered chicken tikka makhani, chicken dosa, tandoori lamb chops, and chicken Madras curry for me. My curry was very tasty, not too spicy, and my partner's dosa was impressive, a huge filled pancake, rolled over to more or less fit on the plate. I think we all enjoyed the food very much, and there was plenty to take home for the next day. The service was attentive and pleasant. Upon visiting one of the one-person rest rooms, I was disappointed to find it with no soap. In a small restaurant, that's concerning.Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at Bombay Bistro, and would return."
"Delicious tasts and spices. The variety even on a weekdayattentive host abd servers make it extra enjoyable"
"We shared the Nepal House Feast, which is a platter for two that has a little bit of everything. It was fabulous. The tandoori chicken was flavorful and juicy, the curries were balanced and spiced, and the naan was toasty. The little trio of sauces was also excellent. All in all this was a great and very affordable mid-week dinner. I am now dying to go back for the lunch buffet."
"First time to try this joint. Very casual cozy little restaurant at a strip mall in Germantown. Hubby and I had cravings for Indian cuisine. This is near the New Grandmart International grocery store so it's perfect location for our purposes. The staff were so friendly and professional. It was a refreshing experience. We got the assorted platter that had chicken tandoori, samosa, lamb and veggie patties with a side of tamarind and green chutney (cilantro and mint). Every bite was delicious! The samosa had crunchy pastry on the outside and perfectly cooked. Lamb and chicken were full of flavor, marinated well. I got the butter chicken and he got the curry chicken. I tried both. I prefer the butter chicken but both were delicious. We got a side of naan and mango chutney and pickled veg . They went together well. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely come back. I got the Gulab Jamin to go so I'll keep you posted on that dessert! Come try this place."
"Delicious! We got the chicken tikka masala and shrimp vindaloo for carry out and both dishes were delicious. Can't go wrong here for Indian food!"
"A 3.5 but rounding up for local. Honestly, I hate buffets, but I did decently enjoy this lunch that I went to without understanding what I was doing. I had never tried Kumari in the past so I was excited to say something new and then learned upon sitting down that they offer buffet lunches on the weekends for about $18 all in. The service was really spectacular considering, and the tea was really delightful. Mango Lassi was too sweet. The space is quite large and they have seating on both sides of the restaurant. This is a no-frills restaurant and sometimes you have to grab silverware and napkins yourself but with two people working there and a restaurant full of people I thought the service was great. If you like a buffet, then I would very much recommend this place for you for Indian / Nepalese food."
"Pretty solid Indian spot overall! The rice portion was generous compared to other nearby spots, and the vegetable samosa was yummy and so were the sauces with it! The garlic naan could've been cooked a bit longer, and the chicken tikka masala could've used a bit more cream and just sauce overall. The quality of the chicken was apparent as well! And the price is definitely fair."
"This place has a wonderful, large buffet with many offerings. For appetizers pakora, samosas, naan, and dosas made to order right in front of you. Their mains such as tandoori chicken, curry goat, saag, briani, are also very tasty. I did not see any seafood the day I went though They also have a great selection of desserts, such as mango yogurt, keer, and masala tea. I'm sure that I forgot to mention so many other items. The service is absolutely impeccable. My server was very professional and kind. I do agree with another Yelper that parking is difficult at this location. Especially if you are on a time crunch for lunch hour. Overall this is a great place to go for good Indian food."
"First time ever trying Indian food for myself, and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and a close friend joined me here for dinner, and we ordered family style as suggested by my friend. Waitress was great and attentive as we tried describing a dish we had previously had and wanted to get but couldn't find on the menu. She suggested the potatoes and cauliflower with curry styled sauce, which was similar to the dish my husband wanted. We didn't want to have food like butter chicken that we all had tried before, so we branched out some in our pickings but still kept the spice level mild to medium in most dishes. The best part of the meal was the garlic Naan bread that was insanely good. The entrees were great as well, but I have no idea what we ordered. The pictures provided will have to be the most info I can give. We enjoyed the complimentary wine with dinner, too! There's a decent amount of street parking right in front of the restaurant. We would definitely return here for another visit! Jake n kevin"
"Loved the food here! The service was amazing and the staff was so great with helping out with our food selections. Can't wait to return and try even more of the amazing ethnic foods here!"
"I have been going to this testsujt for dine-in/carry out for nearly 5 years and it's always consistently delicious. My favorite is the goat curry(yes, it has bones in it--you get to lick your fingers ). The chicken tikka masala is also very good. One one my favorite Indian restaurants in Baltimore. Definitely worth checking out!"
"We had a great carry out meal. The veggie samosas were excellent, perfect crust and delicious. The salmon tikka and veggie tikka masala were mildly spicy as requested and were both excellent. Naan - perfect texture and yummy. This was the fifth time we have had carry out from them and there will be sixth, seventh eighth..."
"Great Indian food for a great price - flavorful and reliable. Super convenient location right in Canton Square!"
"As a fan of authentic ethnic cuisines and Indian is on my top lists, I am so glad I went here.Covid: seating were more than 10 feet apartDecor/Atmosphere: Clean and decorative Service: Absolutely fantastic!Cuisine: Also has South Indian dishes. I tend to order more than one or two appetizers and the same for the entree. I had Mysore Marsala Dosa, Salmon curry, aloo paratha, and an assortment of others. Each dish had so much flavor!I highly recommend!"
"Delicious - even delivered (not eaten on premises) everything was delicious and fresh and perfect temperature. Very well packed.Highly recommend!"
"Guess what? This place is another hidden gem. I love Indian food but find get uneven results at the best of places.Sooóoo I'm at the nephew's place and we are Covid conscious so it's take out and delivery when I come in town. This place was delish! We ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Kahari. OMG. We were blown away. Went to pick up after approximately 25 minutes and it was piping hot and the aroma was heavenly.Upon returning to his apartment..12 min travel time, it was still piping hot. Upon opening it up, it looked so tasty that it was with great gusto that we attacked our plates.Make sure to support this restaurant ..it's awesome sauce."
"Tamber's has always been reliable for good, traditional diner food, with generous portions, friendly service, and fair prices. They also do a very nice job with traditional Indian and Italian food. The place is a mainstay for Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, Med-Star Union Memorial hospital, area churches and the community. The ambiance is a warm, comfy diner for one person or a dozen!"
"The food is so amazing here as always. Thanks for being open today on this snow day! And also having all the buffet item's available."
"I love some nice Indian takeout, but the places around me make me feel like Goldilocks- it's never quite right. Too bad I don't live in Olney! Everything at Nirvana was perfection!Butter chicken is a go-to for many people, but it was incredible here. Sweet but complex flavors with perfectly cooked, large pieces of chicken. I feel like chicken tandoori really shows off the cooking ability of the restaurant, and here it was moist with subtle flavors. We also got naan, samosas, paratha, Chana masala, and onion bhajis, and they were all delicious. The takeout containers were clean and organized, and the food was ready quickly. I'll be making some excuses to visit my friend again soon and get more Nirvana!"
"A solid 4.5New to the area so decided to give this place a try. Ordered the indochinese dishes for pick up. 6/10 spice level is a good spice level if you like a kick. The fried rice and noodles were good but the gobi Manchurian ( with gravy) my favorite! The paneer hakka chili sauce ( gravy) was also good and both came with white rice. This is a a great option to have so close by and the order was ready perfectly on time. Would recommend if you are in the area."
