"We have been to Pappas in Parkville and for a birthday celebration we decided to try this location in the Cranbrook Shopping Center. We had a 6 pm reservation on a Sunday and they were semi-busy..They brought out a complimentary cucumber salad which was a nice touch. Our Crab dip that was served with soft Pita wedges was delicious. I can't remember the draft IPA I ordered but it was good.We ordered their famous Crab Cakes and they didn't disappoint. I'm always surprised when the steak (Ribeye) at a seafood spot is excellent- their Ribeye was tasty.Anchovies were available for the Caesar salad which is a plus for me.We ordered a Triple Chocolate Mousse-rich and decadent.Service was upbeat and engaged. Ciara took great care of us. Multi-winner for their Crab cakes and lives up to the hype!"
"This was hands-down the best crab cake we have had since moving to Baltimore, at a cheaper price than most seafood restaurants. Im as surprised as anyone, but there it is: The menu said it was Guy Fieri's favorite, and I'll bet it's true. The sweet tea was clearly freshly brewed, and the sausage sandwich on brioche was delightful, but the crab cake is what we will be back for."
"A staple in the community and an icon that stood through the civil right movement! You want good ole fashioned soul food with a combination of history and welcoming new trends, then FAG is the place! They are undergoing renovations and have added a new upstairs section, which is awesome- I gave the new consultant some ideas for improvements :-). Whether a native or visiting, this is a must on the list of places to dine!"
"Came here for breakfast before leaving the area. It's a typical diner with diner food. I think we got here at a good time, before the church let out. We were immediately seated. I got the French toast with bacon, eggs and home fries. The home fries were good I added a little salt to it. Wasn't too bland. My friend ordered the pancakes, they were so fluffy and good. I enjoyed his pancakes more than my French toast. lol! I'll come back again. Service was fast and great!"
"We had some very good food recently at Bombay Bistro. We hosted a group of four of us recently for dinner at Bombay Bistro in the middle of downtown Rockville. The food was very good, though there were a few hiccups in service and surroundings. We were fortunate to get one of the few parking spaces in the tiny lot, and were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately, the booth they seated us at was extremely tight, even though the hostess tried to move the table a little. So we quickly asked for a non-booth table, and were seated nearby. There's not a lot of extra space in the dining room, so one of the staff was insistent about taking my jacket off my chair and hanging it up for me. That behind us, we perused the interesting menu and started by sharing the samosas and the chutney sampler with pappadoms, along with a mango lassi and a Kingfisher beer for me. We were also presented with a little amuse-bouche of a little glass containing a dumpling--it might have been the menu's vegetable bhajia--which was a lovely bite to start off with.We then ordered chicken tikka makhani, chicken dosa, tandoori lamb chops, and chicken Madras curry for me. My curry was very tasty, not too spicy, and my partner's dosa was impressive, a huge filled pancake, rolled over to more or less fit on the plate. I think we all enjoyed the food very much, and there was plenty to take home for the next day. The service was attentive and pleasant. Upon visiting one of the one-person rest rooms, I was disappointed to find it with no soap. In a small restaurant, that's concerning.Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at Bombay Bistro, and would return."
"Food is fantastic. Service outstanding. Vets pasta sauce in forever. A must goto in Annapolis."
"Food is typical of an old school diner. Simple, decently priced, and delicious. Choose a seat at the bar top overlooking the grill or take a table. Service can be hit or miss but overall it's ok. Pancakes are fluffy and tasty. Restaurant is well maintained on the inside despite it being from 1982! Clean! Nick's Diner is a Wheaton gem!"
"I love Pete's! It's a beautiful thing that places like this are still around - a place that still gets to know its customer, where people are regulars and are known by name and order. It's counter style and you just wait until there's a seat open and hop in. I love that that's the way they do it. The french toast is a must have, in my opinion. It's probably some of the best french toast I've ever had and french toast is usually good but this is even better. It's perfect, I'd love to know the recipe. Then I get some bacon and eggs maybe and it's all made with love. This place is a gem and a must go if you can!"
"Omg this pit beef is freaking amazing!!! I had the beef platter with fries and gravy all over. Beef was ordered medium rare with a side of horseradish. The beef was SOOOO tender!!! I couldn't stop eating it and the portion was very very generous. The service was pretty quick counter service and there was plenty of seating. You can also literally smell the delicious smokey flavor in the air as soon as you get out of your car. I highly recommend trying Chaps and I'll definitely be back again!"
"Sarah is great. Super friendly and on point as are all the staff. I am always welcomed when I come and they surprisingly remember me. I saw Mr Moe as well. He's such a great person and so helpful. Everyone there is great. The food was plentiful and they finally had my beloved Black Forest cake! This is a must stop when I'm in the area. Always a great experience and happy to be back"
"20 years ago I had a very bad experience here and haven't been back since. But, on NYD we were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't too busy. Bam, Towson Diner seemed to have plenty of room.I had the French toast bites and a side of sausage. It was the thick diner style sausage (which I honestly wish was available more places). The French toast bites is simply cut up French toast squares covered in strawberry slices and doused in whipped cream. Wow did that make a flavor explosion in my mouth. The French toast was nice and soft inside with a slight crust on the outside. The inside is well lit during the day thanks to the large diner windows. The booths are comfortable. The waitress was prompt, friendly, and got everything right. Now I have another diner to choose from."
"Yesterday evening my best friend and I came here for dinner before early fireworks here in Frederick.I had the clam strip basket and she had the fish and chips dinner. Both were EXCELLENT !!!! It's hard to find a place that makes good clam strips and their cook nailed it !!!! THANK YOU !!!!!I also ordered a slice of Cherry Pie to go and that was most delicious as well!!! Our server was training a new person and the thoughtfulness and teamwork between them was so lovely to see !!! Both were very friendly and kind !!!!The diner is large and beautifully retro. Everything was so clean and the bathroom was immaculate!!!!We spoke with the owner , Chris, he was at the register . I love his mindset on hiring young people without prior experience. He's all about giving a person a chance. Chris, thank you for being a Bright Light out here and being a help to others !!!!!The diner is called Mountain View and it's true. The views are gorgeous !!!!!!Great food !!! Great People !!!! Great View !!!! We have The Trifecta Peoples !!!!!! : )"

If looking for a restaurant with a relaxed environment , good service and good food, then Pappas sports bar could be for you (also has a fancy dinning area). Came here for lunch with friends and we were sat quickly! It has booth, tables and bar seating very spacious. Accommodating for any size party. Our waiter Victor was very attentive, pleasent and listened & delivered on our request. The daily lunch specials are reasonable. My choice was pasta with Shrimp & Mussels came with soup and salad it was good ,and your choice of tea, coffee, soda. If wanting a little more to drink they are also reasonable . We enjoyed and will be back. Come check this place out!!

Wow wow WOW is all I can say about Sip and Bite. Literally every time I come here, it's always so good, so full of flavor, and literally made with love. This will always be my favorite diner to go to. I've never had a single issue with this establishment. My service is always good, and it's so warming to get the same waitress every time. I forget her name at this moment, but I remember she has locs. She's so lovely and personable, I just know I'll be taken care of whenever I come. The establishment is admittedly a little on the smaller side, but it just adds to the charm in my opinion. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our food, especially the Stuffed French Toast. Oh good Lord it was not even overly sweet, everything like popped in my mouth, it was indescribably good in my opinion. Down to even the whipped cream. I can also understand why Guy Fiery loves and stands by the Crab Cakes here. The Cheseapeake Benedict was oh so amazing, flavorful, cooked to perfection. Some of the best crab cakes I've ever had. The cheese grits were also 10/10 most delicious and creamy. I've had Lavender lemonade before, and this one here was also very tasty. I can't wait to come back to try more!

I've been wanting to try this place for forever but I was never sure if/when they were open. I was determined to try them so I absolutely had to figure it out. It's lent and as a New Orleans native, I was craving some good fried catfish. The menu stated they had "Cajun" fried catfish so I had to check it out myself. This is true fried catfish that could satisfy any Creole or Cajun's tastebuds. As many others have stated, this place is ran by a one woman show in the front. I didn't even catch her name because she was so busy but she was always kind. When you come in, you take a seat and there is a barcode for you to scan and order. This place used to be cash only now it's card only so be prepared (this is where the star is lost). I ordered the catfish dinner with macaroni and candied yams as my side. Like others have stated, the candied yams do give "canned." Probably Gloria's but lucky for me, I like canned candied yams. The price isn't astronomical so I'm not going to throw a fit about it. The macaroni and cheese was really good. I made sure to take a picture of the drink. I had fruit punch with a splash of lemonade. Tastes like some good ol red Kool aid from summers as a kid. And they have the "good ice" here! I love a no frills diner so I will be back especially since we are currently in the season of lent. This place also has a Jamaican menu starting at a certain time. I plan on checking that part of the menu out as well.

I love a good diner!! And double Ts has it going on!Any time I can get breakfast for lunch or dinner I am in! Give me some sunny side up eggs toast bacon biscuits and gravy and don't get your fingers too close or you may lose them.Double Ts is a dinner on steroids. It is big, flashy, and awesome!Their menu is huge... lots of options no matter if you want breakfast, lunch or dinner foods. They have a menu so prolific it can be hard to make a choice. This is my second time coming to a Double Ts and I wish they had one of these near my home. However the first time was just so magical that this time paled a bit in comparison. Our server was just not as good and not as on top of things. The food was still off the hook!! But the overall experience was down graded due to a lesser service standard. But don't let that stop you... this is the bomb diggitty! The fachisle to the nisle! The Mecca of dinners! I would come back, and will as soon as I am near one, in a heart beat!

Inexpensive, but great homestyle cooking. The inside is small and counter style but the staff is very friendly and make you feel like you're a friend! When you need a quick meal, this is a great place to go!

"I get my comfort breakfast item because it has been consistently good.I order takeout and food is ready within 15-20 minutes and price is fair for comfort.Based on the volume of the space, seems to have lot of loyal return customers who also enjoy their cuisine."
"I've eaten here three times in the past two weeks (it's less than a mile from where I live). I've eaten dinner, breakfast, and just dessert. Large portions, fast service, and a good value. The breakfast in particular was delicious even though my egg whites were only warm. The Bananas Foster French toast with challa bread on the other hand was perfection. Endless coffee which wasn't bad. Go there!"
"Great little place in the heart of Middletown. Good service, good food and enjoyable time. Will definitely go back!"
"My experiences now includes at least 40 breakfast and dinners and a couple of lunches. Early morning to late night. Every meal l've had here has been tasty and quickly served. All meals have been accurately made and presented exactly as described in the menu.AND all servers have been professional and attentive.Additionally, the restaurant is clean. Also,it's pretty in a diner-like way.Only issue I've ever had is with a sometimes rude man who works at the front area on the weekends. He seems to have an attitude about dealing with and seating solos even though I go early before the crowds. So after a couple of less than positive experiences with him I've decided to just stick to weekdays. Can't go wrong with this Glen Burnie classic."
"We ordered creamed chipped beef, bacon, cheddar cheese eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes, and scrambled eggs. Nothing tasted good. The scrambled eggs were cold and bland. The potatoes had no flavor whatsoever. The pancakes were room temperature, thin, unflavorful, and worse than Bisquick. The bacon was okay. The Kraft square slice cheese that they use was barely melted onto the eggs. This was definitely a rush job and not worth the $35 bill. The service from the server was good and the ambiance and decor were nice. We will not return."
"Let me set the scene.. I'm in town for a sweet 16 party over the weekend, working from my hotel room for the day, it's lunchtime, I'm hungry, and I have no car...You're reading this, so iblnow you know what's next...put Yelp! to work and see what's for lunch, or in my case, lunch and dinner (why pay double the fees when the menu looks so good you don't know what to choose?) Okay, enough chit chat...let's review!Customer service - my order was delivered quickly, sooner than the estimated delivery. I ordered chicken and catfish, but no condiments were included; hot sauce and tarter sauce would have been nice.Chicken wings - I ordered the whole wings. Great choice. They're well-seasoned and had just the right amount of crisp/crunchMac n cheese - just like grandma used to make! Greens - delicious! Tender, but not mushy.Cabbage - pretty darn good!Catfish- same as the wings - well seasoned and perfectly fried. They were a little thinner than I'm used to, but tasty none-the-lessHalf n half - a little on the sweet side, but I just added more iced tea, and it was just fineCornbread - full disclosure: I can never est cornbread another day in my life (exception: my mom's hot water cornbread) and be just fine. That being said, when/if I do eat it again, I hope it tastes like this!"
"This is a charming little diner with lots of great options. Service was friendly and speedy and there's too much to take in during just one sitting on the walls if you get bored with your fellow table companions."
"This place is divey (I mean REAL divey) but they whip up a mean and hearty breakfast. With so many delicious breakfast staples on the menu, it was kinda hard to choose. I decided on the Waffle Plate: a Belgian waffle, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, and scrambled eggs and cheese and it was great! Everything was cooked to order, just the way I wanted it, and the wait wasn't long at all despite there being a few customers ahead of me.Definitely coming back to try out the rest of this menu."
"Great food especially the jumbo crabs and the good crab soup. But what has to change is the incompetency of the staff. I called at 10:30 am to order a dozen Jumbo steamed crabs to be ready at 4:30 pm to be picked up. I was told to call 20 minute before I arrived. I called 20 minutes and was immediately told by a lady that you have to call 45 minutes before when picking up steamed crabs. I would have thought when I made a reservation to pick up a dozen steamed crabs at a certain time that they would have been ready even without me calling. Not only is this incompetence, but the lady on the phone at 4:10 pm was rude and obnoxious. The guy I spoke with at 10:30 am couldn't have been nicer and my friends who came over to have the steamed crabs visit this restaurant regularly.I get crabs in Virginia where I live and when I say I'm picking them up, I'm there without a phone call. Get it right and make sure everyone at this restaurant is all on the same page."

"Micro Review: Quick stop in Laurel and stumbled on the diner. Quaint and a local spot, but breakfast was spot on. Ordered the triple play - coffee was strong and great pick me up! They take credit cards for payment. Looked like they had enough parking as well. I really liked the home fries and appreciated that the waitress asked me if I wanted them with or without onions! Most places don't give that option... cute diner if you're wanting a filling meal."
"The Lunch Box is a very small old-timey style diner. That could use a deep cleaning.and smells like roach spray. The lady at the counter appears anxious but nice. The cook (owner maybe) didn't smile much but seemed nice to the customer. The bacon, eggs and home fries breakfast platter was good."
"What an amazing little place! We stopped for breakfast this morning after a long day and a lot of hassle traveling from Florida yesterday. The last thing I wanted was to stand in line somewhere. Walked right into Toni's and were greeted warmly! Ordered coffee and breakfast. Love they have smaller portions. Fabulous coffee, great staff, wonderful food, all under 30 for 2, a rarity these days. I look forward to visiting them again soon."
"Don't let the look fool you! This quaint little diner has great food and excellent service ! The server we had was prompt and very friendly ! We ordered chipped beef, Belgian waffle and a club sandwich. The club sandwich was the best I've ever had at a diner. Very thick cuts of turkey and clean layers of bacon and lettuce and the bread was nicely toasted! The waffle was light and fluffy! Chipped beef at diner is always good so nothing more to say about there. Check this place out!!"
"Amazing food and service! Would highly recommend. We brought a group of 6 and everyone was extremely satisfied. A great classic style diner with friendly employees. Would definitely come back!"
"Love the essex diner. Great service great food. Fun times all around. Ashley, Michelle s, and the rest of the young ladies are amazing."
"So I found on yelp passing through the area. It's a very charming little diner and I stopped for breakfast. Got two pancakes with bacon and two eggs for $10. Super fast service and all three folks working were all smiles. As a fireman, I of course loved the old memorabilia inside! Seems like a small town place where lots of folks are locals. I like it."
"Pulled up for late night eats after landing in this wild town! Literally nothing is open past midnight on a Friday night except for CJs! Conveniently located by all the gentleman's clubs, at that (hence the wildness going on so far)!Waited in a short line and an old fella that looked like he'd been working there since they opened. Customer (who I assumed was a local) in front of me ordered a Philly so I felt it was natural to do the same. No lettuce no tomato. Grilled onions, mayo, extra cheese! Soooo good for those late night cravings. Bread was soft and packed with meat and every bite melted in my mouth like butter. I'd say this is the equivalent of pulling up to fuel city after hours!"
"Favorite subs around! Their Italian cold cut and cheesesteaks give me life. Quick delivery. Awesome people. LOVE JOHNS"
"Food : like always the fried shrimp and a grand slam the calamari didn't disappoint at all jambalaya I wasn't so into it as much as I wanted to it needed lots of work very under seasoned Service : Lena is always amazing and greeting everyone with kindness when you come it we absolutely love her again we go one of the best servers we love you vanna and always appreciate amazing service good attitude and making sure the experience is one point Ambiance : clean calming"
"What an excellent spot.We decided to come in on account of their unique fish entrees and we were not disappointed. The cajun breaded fish was delicious. So were the eggs. You know what? Even the toast was delicious. And that gravy... mmmm. The staff was friendly and attentive. I really can't wait to go back."
"The food was better than Great Wolf Lodge and cheaper. The portion size is extremely large, so come hungry or share. The place was a bit busy but that what you would expect from a loved local restaurant."
"I'll be frank, don't come here if you're in a huge rush. We weren't and we had a great time. The menu is simple and down to earth. I'm vegetarian and there were several options to choose from (salads, grilled cheese, breakfast items, sides). I had an omelet and sweet potato fries and I found them to be cooked well and quite tasty unlike the multitude of bland diner eggs I've had in the past.It did take a while to get acknowledged and get our food, but the waitress was very pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a very relaxed dining experience. This was the good kind of hole in the wall where we could get an inexpensive, satisfying meal after a day of moving."
