"Was new to the area and stopped by another restaurant across the street. They did not have seating so they told me I could go to Rocco's to eat my meal. They are owned by the same people and I was pleasantly surprised by this Italian store/ bakery/deli/coffee shop! Super pleasant and very welcoming. I decided to eat my meal from the other restaurant and then came back that evening to eat at the deli. I had the Italian cold cut and it was probably my favorite I've ever had. The pastries for phenomenal and they even gave me a sample of the meatball and soup. Both were also scrumptious. Everyone was really kind and the shop is really cool. I would love they had so many products that you could take home and try! Other things on the menu that I would love to try is the meatball sub, the Rosemary cold cut and their gelato! I can't wait to return! Definitely make sure to check it out!"
"This place has been here for decades, under a succession of three owners. There has been a marked improvement under the current ownership. Cleanliness, plantings out front, varied and well-priced menu and friendly service are the main reasons we keep coming back. Personally, I like the bibimbap variations, and haven't strayed far from there. I also like that they include a small bowl of Miso with your order. A sweet and inexpensive addition. It's also good to see that they've embraced their current clientele with improvements like the TV and pool table, while expanding their base with a more varied and healthier menu."

"I was disappointed by the Newark store, bought the Italian but while the flavor was good the lack of meats disappointed me, heard this was a good place not worth the $17 I'll have to try the one in lamer."
"I received a reply from the manager (below). That's great for them that so many people like these bagels. For me, the texture is more like bread than dense/chewy like a bagel, so if people are used to eating traditional NY-style bagels, they might want to go elsewhere. Also, to clarify, the review is definitely based on recent experiences: most recently last week, but also in January, and a few times last Fall. The photos were from my first visit there back in 2022."
"Great sandwich. Great fires. Great customer service. Salad was meh. I suggest getting what a deli is known for. It's sandwiches. My coworker and I went to this deli which she had mentioned was recently reopened with this new branding. Unsure if it was from new ownership or just a name change. Next time I go, I'll find out more. Atmosphere:This is more modern than your normal deli. It reminded me more of a clothing store with the dark wood floors and clean lines with the club music playing in the background. The music was at a good level so you could hear each other talk. Service:Fast and friendly. I mentioned it being our first time and being a Yelp elite unabashedly. Hey, it scored us some free fries! Kudos to Deli-ish cashier!Food:My turkey club was really good. I liked the freshness of everything. Plus call me crazy, but I like turkey that doesn't have that real turkey flavor. Haha. I know I know. This was perfect but it could have used a touch more mayo. The fries were great. They had a bit of seasoning on them which is what I like. Don't be afraid to order fries for the kids. They were not spicy. Just seasoned. Salad with grilled chicken per my coworker was just average. Nothing to write home about. The chicken soup wasn't that great either. Like I said earlier, stick to the sandwiches maybe. If thinking grilled chicken salad, maybe look elsewhere. If getting a sandwich, I say go here."
"If you like a thin crust pizza with some kick this place is for you. I always order xlg well done because that's the way I generally like my pizza. Gladiator does it well. My kids think it's "too spicy" so I don't get to order from here often. It's really good pizza though if this is the style you like."
"Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic! This place has been on my radar for several weeks now and I finally ventured over to see what the hype is about !!This business is located within a short strip of businesses providing plentiful parking in the back parking lot and on close side street. Upon entering I was greeted by a vibrant young lady who immediately took my order. She was very knowledgeable about menu options and able to answer all questions regarding food items, etc.I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla, Grilled Chicken and Shrimp Tato and a Fresh Lemonade!!Delicious is an understatement!Oh Em Gee!! The Grilled Chicken and Shrimp Tato was mine oh mine and packed w flavor. It was so plentiful and took me 3 sittings to finish. I would most definitely order again!!The Chicken Quesadilla was the best ever tasted! It was for hubby but I had to sneak a piece! It smelled tastefully delicious and was a hit! The tortilla was grilled perfectly and all the ingredients fell in line perfectly. The Lemonade... oh the Lemonade!! We devoured it! Perfect to me! Fresh taste, not overly sweet and perfect sized. Goldies Seafood is very COVID19 conscience. Social distancing highly enforced along w face mask mandates. Before departure I was able to converse w Owner (Randolph) for a sec and he's a true businessesman w vision, leadership and the tools necessary to continue this successful establishment as well as continue to build. Since leaving I've recommended Goldies Seafood to several friends and family members! I definitely recommend this establishment to anyone in the mood for a fantastic meal, great customer service and plentiful leftovers !!"
"Great Italian cold cut with the best onions, you often have to pay more for a business has to live with price increases by their suppliers . You will be glad you made the trip. Good for at least two meals."
"Chicken box is goooood... they have that mambo sauce .. chicken is always hot and fresh. One of the beat chicken boxes I've had. You will not be disappointed. ."
"I want to let yelpers know this place is like a hidden gem! As soon as you walk, the modern, open spaced, clean interior caught my eyes immediately. As for the food, it tastes so good. My favorite menu was the rueben sandwich! A must try if you haven't already! Filled with generous amount of savory meat and coleslaw. It wowed my taste buds as soon as I took a bite. They also have a wide variety of gourmet soups and I was told that they even make the dressings for the salads in house. They also had a sign that said they used Boar Head deli meats, which are my favorite. All the staff are friendly , nice and always welcoming. They also have a really nice variety of beverages selections. I am a beverage fanatic and i was able to see some beverages i wasn't able to find in other deli's or restaurants. Overall, a very warm, welcoming, yet modern environment where you can enjoy anything from a nice hearty breakfast, savory lunch and decadent desert! For me the best place to take a break from my hard days work!"
"If I could, I'll give 10So happy I found a place to eat AUTHENTIC mexican food, I will definitely take the drive here to eat.If you really want to try authentic quesadillas, tacos the way it supposed to taste, spicy salsa if you are into to give an extra kick to your meal.I'm beyond excited to to show you why this place took 5 star reviews:Al pastor tacos: comes with 2 tortillas, chopped onion and cilantro Tacos: chopped onion and cilantro, lime, nopal, spring onion, radish and cucumber Quesadillas: completely freshly made, corn long tortilla and the best thing is that in 7 years I've been living in MD is the first time I found huitlacoche which Mexican caviar Home made chips, even though they were colder than most places, the fact this ones are made here took an extra star. The fresh flavored water did not disappoints either, I had horchata and I'm crazy picky about this, I can tell when is from the bottle and when is made at the place. No, they don't serve veganNo, it's not a hipster place No, it's not TexMex No, don't come looking for a fancy spot No, don't ask for wifi No, is not that big."
"I came here for the first time on a Saturday, close to noon. It was packed and busy. The staff did a great job managing the crowd and keeping everyone informed on the wait time. I ordered the bacon, egg (scrambled), and cheese on an Asiago bagel, with butter. I will be back to try other items."

Good food; poor business practices...There is a sign posted that meat by the lb. can only be ordered after 2pm. That is fine. But if that is your practice, then you need to be consistent. While in line, the person next to me ordered 3lbs of sliced meat. I did the same. I was shown the sign and told I could not do that by the owner, who then proceeded to slice the other customer's order. Your food is high quality and always delicious. But if you have a policy, it needs to be applied equally across the board for all customers

Awesome place , might not look too fancy from outside but when you go inside the environment is really good . They have a music box and also a pool table while you wait for your food. Also enjoy a nice cold beer with friends after work . Also the food is great good buffalo wings and steak and cheese . Definitely recommend to everyone in the area .

We foolishly tried to order from their competitor tonight only to end up back at Casapulla's after a terrible experience with the other place. The difference is in the quality of food and quality of staff. The staff at Casapulla's can be consistently relied upon to take an order correctly and make it correctly. No fuss and arguments here, just a good sub.

This is really a 4.5 star review - I found that these toasted bagels are hard on the inside of my mouth. Maybe there's an option to not have the bagel toasted? I'll try that next. That said, corned beef on a swirl (pumpernickel) bagel with mustard is excellent! Very flavorful. I ate it with a side of sour cream and chives chips.Ordering was simple, and the staff is super friendly. Will return.

Pleasantly surprised! Good quality deli meats, desserts on offer as well as a nice selection of kettle chips. The family ordered a few different sandwiches to go, specifically tuna, chicken salad, turkey club - and everyone agreed that their food was delish. (I had to. I'm sorry.)

If you like small diners this place is great. Staff was really friendly as well. This place also supports the community so we are lucky to have them.

Omg is the only way to start of this review. I ordered the Goldie's special pasta and every bite of it was delicious. The pasta came with salmon , shrimp , and real lump crab meat , the star of the show was the Goldie's sauce. I have now idea what the sauce consisted of but it will have you literally wanting to lick your plate clean. The price for the quantity of food you get is very reasonable, and the quality of the food was perfection.

"I have had Weiss on my to-go list for MONTHS ever since I craved a Reuben one day at work and went scouring the internet for a good local deli. I live right around the corner, and once, somebody yelled at me from his truck as I walked by Weiss that "Weiss has the best corned beef in Baltimore, way better than Attman's." Unfortunately, Weiss is only open 9am-5pm Mon-Sat, which is tough with my schedule, so I have been tortured every time I pass by the closed sign on the way home. I had to wait until when my partner picked up a Reuben for me a few weeks ago. The Reuben used just regular sandwich bread but comes with enough meat for three sandwiches. I wish that they used a thicker cut of bread to balance the entire cow that they slap between the bread, but as the random stranger claimed, the corned beef really is the best in Baltimore. I want to go back to see what the inside is like myself, but my partner reports that it's "like a warehouse," and they had quick service. Next time, I might bring the sandwich home and split the meat into two sandwiches to self-adjust the proportions."
"Amazing food!! Anything you get you will love. I've had just about everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. This is my go to regular spot now after work. I even got my coworkers ordering from here!! Staff is friendly and the place is clean. And you'll get your food fast as well."
"So nice and welcoming. A friendly smiling lady asked if she could help me as soon as I got there. I got a tuna salad sub that came with a bag of chips and 20 oz bottle of soda for only $6.75 so not bad. The sub was stuffed with tasty tuna and the bread roll did not get soggy at all. Good quality! The ladies helping me were very patient as I made my selection of chips and drink. It's in the center of the northeast market near the seating area so you will not be bored waiting for your food to be ready. Wait wasn't long either. Would definitely recommend trying this place for a quick meal."
"I'm a regular patron, big fan of the old country artisanal sandwiches, like a charcuterie board on an italian roll. Pizza and other sandwiches are equally worth trying, great ingredients and good sized. Has a small deli and italian groceries.Mostly take-out, a couple of small tables but not a dine-in kind of place. Call ahead, wait time is usually 20-25 min. Prices are average for the area, better if you consider the quality."
"My family has been buying from Doc's for well over 20 years. I remember as a kid I always wanted to come inside while my parent picked up an order because there was a jar of pretzel rods on the counter. The market itself is tiny, but everything from soups and bread, lunch meat and ground beef to marinated chicken and chateaubriand is high quality and served by a friendly face. Doc's prepared meatballs and meatloaf are probably still the best I've ever had even compared to restaurants and home cooking (sorry, MomMom)."
"Absolutely amazing hole in the wall deli and restaurant in Pigtown area of baltimore. Open 6:30-3:30 M-F, 8-12:30 Sat, closed on Sundays. All day breakfast like your grandma made it and at an extremely low price that'll beat anywhere around. Located right behind M&T Bank Stadium on the corner of W Cross Street, you won't be disappointed with this one. A family owned home restaurant with some small grocery needs as well. Come hungry and leave happy!"
"While it's probably not worth coming out of the way for this restaurant, it's a solid spot for barbecue for locals living in the area. The food is very good and clearly made with care and passion. The staff are really nice, friendly, and welcoming. There is some seating inside so it's possible to eat there or get take away. On nice days, there is seating outside which looks very fun. A parking lot connected to it makes it easy. This building has been transformed so many times and it's a great use of it today. Highly recommended for people in the neighborhood!"
"Been going here for awhile now and can't recommend this place enough. If you come here for the first time, don't let the appearance fool you. It is a hole in the wall place with not nearly enough room to sit if you want to eat on site. But let's be honest, those "hole in the wall" joints have the best food. This is no exception. The food is fantastic. It's all the basic faire, nothing necessarily unique, but it's done bigger, better and cheaper than the competition. You want pancakes, they come out bigger than your head. You want bacon, you don't get two crappy looking shriveled pieces, you get a small pile of perfectly cooked strips. My wife is a huge fan of the French toast. The amount they give you can barely be contained the styrofoam container they are in! My favorite is the creamed chip beef. The prices are as good or better than any diner you can go to! They get your food together fast! And all this is just breakfast. I got lunch here once, a chicken Caesar wrap. It was fully loaded and awesome as well. I need to get back here to try more lunch options. Bottom line is, stop by here at some point and give it a try. I promise it will be worth the stop!"
"Pastrami viewed as best ever had by the better half. Definitely up there in terms of flavor. Italian was massive and loved by kiddo who could only eat half.Jalapeño Cheese steak was a crowd pleaser Great service at the deli. Felt right at home eating in and grabbing chips and drinks as needed. Do not hesitate to eat here. We'll be coming back whenever we come back to the area."
"Small little spot inside a business building. I would have never found it on my own. So glad I did a search for deli sandwiches. My husband and I enjoyed the freshly made sandwiches very much and I shall frequent this deli."
"This new iteration is so much better than the previous cafe! The menu is varied, and the staff are very nice. I ordered the BLT with avocado sandwich and it was delicious, and the portion size was perfect. I enjoyed the outdoor seating, and appreciated that the staff didn't rush me when they were getting ready to close. (The previous cafe staff took my order and didn't mention they were getting ready to close, then handed me a box and told me my order had just become a carry out order.)"
"Made it out to Hampden to try Luigi's but missed them the 1st time as they actually closed at 3 pm. As of this writing, they are open 11 am-3pm daily (or "sell out"). Only takeout/delivery available for now. I'm sure it was a charming spot when they had dine-in but for now it's a pickup window. They had an ample selection of hot/cold sandwiches & had a hard time deciding as all looked good. We settled on the The Scooch (most popular (according to their website), Leonardo & La Porchetta.Perfect balance of roll to meat/veggies on all 3. The surprise star was the Leonardo. The thicker cut marinated roasted eggplant stood out with the squash, mozzarella, pesto & balsamic balancing it out. One of the best Italian veggie sandwiches I've had! The Scooch (roasted peppers and hots took it over the top!) and Porchetta also didn't disappoint. We also tried the Pepperoni roll which was ok-stuffed with an abundant amount of pepperoni with tomato sauce.Overall, this is the Spot in Hampden for some proper Italian sandwiches. We will be back!"
"Very nice service. The owner saw me straining my neck looking at the overhead monitor for menu so she beckoned me over with a smile and offered me a paper copy. When I was ready to order, another friendly lady waved me over and took my order right away. The jalapeño wrap was very fresh and tasty. It was big enough for me to eat half at lunch and half at dinner. Jalapeño taste was crisp. Price wasn't bad either at only $6. Caprese sandwich was awesome, only $5."
"I live in the area and never saw this place until recently. The reviews on yelp are pretty accurate for it. Great cheesesteak and nice owners! Oh it's cash only by the way!! It looks a little rundown from the outside and inside is basically a convenience store. I was greeted by one of the owners (assuming the couple owns this place) and she was very friendly. Always spoke with a smile on her face! I ordered a cheesesteak and fries to go. They have season on the side if you want to put it on Fries. The food was delicious! The cheesesteak was fresh and flavorful and the fries were crispy. Think it's a combo if you get both! Stop by the area if you like good cheesesteak!"
"This is a gem for locals who want a quick breakfast or lunch any day of the week. I got a BLT recently and it was one of the best I've ever had. I typically get a bacon, egg & cheese Sammy on white toast or bagel with home fries -- their home fries are extraordinary. Honestly the best you'll find anywhere, better then Eggspectation or anyplace that's priced 3x higher. I've always found the service to be quick, friendly and professional. And the restaurant always looks and smells clean. The negative reviews must be one offs or peoplewith unrealistic expectations. I've been coming to Sam's for a decade and never had an issue. Definitely happy Sam's has stuck around all these years which is difficult for most restaurants as this area has a huge turnover."
"I thought I wrote this a couple of years ago but perhaps I never finished or sent it or I did something dumb like accidentally erase my post.I have yet to find wings that compete with the wings at Dyers. I am no where near Dyers and was brought here by my extended family who live a few blocks away from this wonderful little deli. I live just outside of NYC. This deli is an hour west of Philadelphia in a small town in the middle of Amish country. I've only ever had a few items from their menu, the wings, their cheesesteak sandwich, shakes, and ice cream. I have a hope and a prayer that one day the lovely family who own this deli will open one near me. I know... Selfish. But I salivate at the notion of my extended family coming for a visit from Pennsylvania because they always say: "We're almost ready to head over but we have to make a stop for you first." followed by a giddy smile. I hear those words and even though the following arrival is 2 or so hours later...the food is still just as good with a little bit of a reheat. I'm a big conversationalist when I have friends and family over. But within moments of hugs and hellos and my kids running around in elation. You'll find me sitting quietly at my table happily eating every morsel completely silent until I am done while the rest of the family are clamoring about. Basically, if you want to shut me up for a good 20-30 minutes. Bring me Dyers wings and subs. Perhaps I am biased as some of my family grew up around Dyers and now I have been added to those traditions. I have yet to ever walk in during a visit and not see a random customer that is not welcomed in the very same way as all others. Everyone is family at Dyers and their food feels like it is specially home cooked just for you. If you don't live in the area but are on a road trip nearby it will be one of the best places to stop and eat. trust me...buy extra wings."
"OK, let me start by saying that I've been here a few times, primarily just because it's within walking distance of my office, and it's my contingency plan if I forgot to bring something for lunch and dont feel like getting in my car. With that said, I try to make it a point to either bring my lunch or be ready to get in my car. This place is easily missed if you're not looking for it. It doesn't look much like a restaurant, tucked back behind some trees, with just a small low-sitting sign pointing you into their parking lot. The interior is kind of gray and gloomy, with some hard pressed-wood booth/bench combinations to your left and up one step, hidden behind a wall so you don't see the rest of the place while you're eating. Honestly, it feels like you've been sent to the detention corner of the cafeteria....all alone, huddled back by the trash can. To the right, you have the cash register, a few other tables that actually have chairs, a salad bar, and the hot food counter where they make your food to order. I've never partaken of the salad bar, because honestly, nothing on it looks appealing. The sandwiches that I've ordered have been mediocre, definitely not worth the prices they charge for them (and just for laughs, compare the price of a ham & cheese sandwich on their breakfast menu to the one on their lunch menu.....for the same sandwich!), and I'm not 100% sure my "chicken Milan" was really chicken. It certainly didn't LOOK like any chicken I've ever made, I'll just say that. Really.....if you're driving past, just keep on going a little further and hit one of the places on 450 or over by Target."
"I ordered a sandwich platter for a work event and everyone loved it. The favorite seemed to be the Italian hoagie but the chicken salad was really good too"
"Came here on a whim and looked like a good local spot. I ordered the Italian with everything. Boy was it delicious. The bread was fantastic. Crisped on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was prompt and everyone was very friendly. Seems like they have a steady stream of regulars that stop in, which is a good sign. They have breakfast options as well."
"Love their food, and love their service. Especially the adorable hearts drawn on the food! Very yummy sandwiches and omelets! And their sweet potato fries are"
"Jae's does it again! Their third location just opened up and it is the biggest one I think. They have their full menu, complete with daily specials like a turkey and brie panini! My favorite of course are their hot subs esp the turkey with hot peppers and grilled onions, MMMMM! Their fries are crinkle cut pieces of heaven! As always, fast great service and reasonable prices. Will be back soon!"
"Menu = just what you'd want in a Jewish deli.Food = deliciousSpace = clean and modern, in a great East Harbor neighborhood by a hotel and several nearby large businesses.Pickle bar = free and delicious, grab a container or a plate and enjoy!Service = behind the counter efficient and hardworking. Table service = terrible, at least for outside diners. We gave up and went inside to order take out.The guys behind the counter on the grill were working and working and working as this is a busy little place even early on a Sunday morning. They have a refrigerator case inside with some good options for grab and go and a full bar with seating."
"Cozy cafe nestled in a business center near Little Patuxent. The owners/employees are very friendly. The cafe is clean and organized with numerous places to sit. I walked over from The Met and was quickly greeted and helped. I ordered a fruit cup and a breakfast sandwich. The fruit was fresh and the sandwich exceeded expectations. The egg was fluffy and moist and the turkey bacon was cooked to crisp perfection. I will return often."
