"First let me say this restaurant has great customer service as well as great food. I will definitely be back to try some new items. We had the crab dip, fish and chips, and shrimp and grits. The grits could've been a little creamier, but everything else was delicious!"
"Sadly, I was disappointed with my dinner experience at SoBo Cafe. The cafe itself feels much more like a bar, which is cool, but the quality of food for the style of dishes in context with the atmosphere felt mismatched. My favorite dishes were the crab soup and the smith island cake. The crab soup was pretty good, with lumps of crab. The smith island cake was moist with good chocolate icing... although as you can see in the photos, the layers of the yellow cake inside weren't even, and the chocolate was clumped in some areas. Nitpicking, yea- but keep in mind this is a $10 piece of cake. The Peruvian roasted chicken was okay- it was cooked well and had decent flavor, although a bit overpowered by the dressing. The sides with it were just okay and nothing great. Cornbread very just okay and dry at parts. I would've ordered this dish for $15, but not $29.Now unfortunately for the worst parts. Being Italian, I am particular when it comes to meatballs- although there have been times Ive enjoyed ordering meatballs in restaurants. This was not one of those times. The meatballs were inedible for me.My friend didn't mind them, but she also likes the meatballs from Subway... and she even acknowledged that they weren't that good, which says a lot.The brussels sprouts were weird. I have never had orange slices and creamy aioli-like dressing with warm brussels sprouts and goat cheese for good reason: it's not very good. This was an extremely odd combination that our waiter did recommend ordering the broccoli instead (probably would've been a good choice), but for some reason I didn't imagine fully what the appetizer would be. I'm not usually big on making a point about price, but the dishes at SoBo were way over priced for their quality. Yes, they are elaborate and technically high end style dishes worthy of higher price points, but the quality and execution of these dishes are so lacking that the price points cannot be justified. At $95 per person, dinner at SoBo Cafe was far from satisfactory. It wasn't the worst meal, but for how everything was priced, I cannot give this restaurant more than three stars.I do not include service in my rating, but our waiter also wasn't the best or most attentive. He had the attitude of a bartender who would rather be doing something else."
Gluten free. This is not your normal fried chicken we rub the chicken with our julep rub, smoke it over pecan wood for 3 hours. And then it's into the fryer for a quick dip. Smoking the chicken often gives it a pink color: it is not underdone or raw. Breast, thigh, wing and drumstick.

"I have been to Founders a few times now and have enjoyed the service, food, and drinks here!Out on errands and need to fuel up, this is a go to for sure as service is prompt and friendly without compromise to the quality of the food. I can't get enough of the spring chicken sandwich. Oh, and the fries here... liken the replica of Thrasher's in OC, no?! And the drinks?! I've not had one that wasn't strong!Glad this is an option whenever I'm in the area and a halfway point for friends and I. Lunch or dinner, Founders is fantastic!"
"Goodness, I think if I could eat the red beans & rice from Puddin everyday I would be set for life. This dish was so filling and a great portion size. I love that it was seasoned to perfection and the red bean and rice ratio was on point. Puddin is one of the businesses within Union Market doing their thang! The employees were very friendly and helpful when I stopped by. I would highly recommend the red beans and rice and their bread pudding it's so so goood. Support this Black owned business, they are holding it down with the southern food within the NoMa area. Thank you!"
"I experienced Miss Toya's Creole House the first time recently. I loved the music and aesthetic of the restaurant! A lot of space for big parties if you choose to go in a big group. I just went with my aunt! My Aunt got the sangria which was huge and she said very delicious it had a popsicle at the top for decoration which we thought was cute. I had the shrimp and grits and it was so good very flavorful the grits alone were too good but with the shrimp it took it to a whole different level! And it tastes good the next day I definitely recommend the shrimp and grits. I cannot wait to go back and try more items off their menu! Our server was so sweet and very attentive!"
"First time here. Food was great! Staff was even better! Definitely gonna make this place a regular stop!"
"Great Food Always & good Service and the Catering Service is Excellent!!Their Bakery is so good and they do Custom Cakes too!"

We live next to red, hot and blue, and we will drive 15 minutes to go here instead. Holy Toledo THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Absolutely amazing bbq, but it's one of those places where everything on the menu is pretty excellent. My favorite is the blackberry chipotle chicken thighs, they're still the best bbq THING I've ever had. Customer service is pretty excellent, quiet little dinner spot that's well kept and looks nice, and just a real joy to visit. Continues to be great and our family will go here for years to come.

In town on a work trip staying downtown and looking for a decent place to eat as a vegetarian. This restaurant exceeded my expectations despite seeing it had a high rating. Everything I had was fantastic. Spicy feta app, mushroom ravioli, flourless chocolate cake. It was all absolutely delicious. In addition, they have music once a month on a Tuesday, which I lucked in to and enjoyed while I ate. The restaurant is cozy and charming and the food is fantastic - highly recommend.

This is a nice local restaurant located in front of a mall. I wish I could give a more positive review. While the food was nicely presented, it ultimately disappointed. Although the ingredients were of high quality, our choices--the Founder Burger and the chicken sandwich--were bland and uninspired. In a competitive dining scene along Ritchie Highway, Founders needs to improve.

The food here is absolutely AMAZING! I mean flavors on 1000! It's always hot and ready! They fry the shrimp to order which makes them fresh and delicious! I'm literally obsessed with this place! The staff is always SO nice! Everyone I've ever encountered had been nothing but nice and hospitable! The keep a good vibe flowing! The bread budding is near perfect and the étouffée with the fried shrimp is heaven sent! I'm addicted to the gumbo as well! It's seasoned exactly how I like. EVERYTHING is seasoned and portioned to make sure you're fulfilled! I am ALWAYS referring clients, guests, friends, family members, and strangers (when they ask). It's the perfect lunch/dinner spot! If you haven't tried it yet, you MUST!!! You'll probably see me there LOL!

Went back and again they did not disappoint. The food is always to cry for. The service is always welcoming and the vibes are always good. I suggest you try several things on the menu. It's honestly too hard to just pick one. There's a garage nearby so parking isn't a big deal.

When I walked in I was totally shocked. It was really small and the tables and chairs seemed like they were right on top of each other. I ordered the Breakfast Burger it was really good. It was served on a muffin and it had an egg on it. I think the burger was seasoned with some kind of barbecue sauce. It came with home fries. They were good. Not to bad. I'm so bad I can't remember the name of my drink. But it was a little spicy. It was soooo good! If I come back I would want to sit at the bar. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. Ooooh yeah we also got the crab dip but we ordered this bread with it. Nom nom nom! I wasn't a fan on the pretzels that came with it. I would substitute them for the bread.

I wanted to take my husband out to breakfast this morning to somewhere we had not been together. So we went to Main & Market. It's close to home and all of the food I have had there at other times of day has been great. We chose a cozy booth by the window and enjoyed our coffee (their coffee is excellent). Our server was Erin, who is very peppy & pleasant. I ordered the corned beef hash, with two eggs over easy. It was a huge portion with big chunks of corned beef, potatoes & onions. It was not really what I think of as hash, but it was tasty. But I probably would not order it again. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant with turkey sausage. He loved their breakfast potatoes. They have lots of options, including benedicts and make your own omelet. So we will be back. Lots of the local breakfast places are a frenetic experience, but this was very relaxing.

I had a wonderful evening at Rip's! Excellent food, great service, chill atmosphere. Ashley was our server, and gave excellent service and was very sweet! I love the old country music playing. I had the chicken pecan salad which was 12/10!! Will definitely be back!

"Locals recommend we must dine here when we're in town. Very cool place inside. Liked the little bar area. No problem with service I'm sure at least five different people attended to our needs. The soups were just ok. The Maryland crab was more vegetables than crab. The cream of crab was tasty and full of crab. Just too thick for me. The sandwiches were just ok. The turkey was good and enjoyed the green beans and the stuffing. It's an ok place"
"I'm not sure where to begin. By far, the BEST service I've received in this area (Wolfgang Puck's restaurant in Hawaii would compare)We came in here on a whim for our Anniversary to try the Tomahawk steak and couldn't have been happier. The environment was homey with comfortable seating and a lot of home photos. We were seated with Stacie who immediately welcomed us, explained the menu, told us the specials, and cracked some jokes. She really made us feel at home and gave us sufficient time to review the menu in case we wanted to try anything else. We did decide on the Tomahawk and she let us know it would be 45 minutes but she would keep us updated and it would be carved table side. We elected to try the deviled eggs which she recommended and explained to us that the breading and sauce were the same used in the Buttermilk Chicken Sando. These eggs were FIRE! I told her I would be coming back to try the sandwich, and think it would be awesome with the deviled egg filling on top! Next up, she gave us some cornbread since we still had a while to wait and it was a perfect intermission! She kept us updated every so often and made sure our drinks stayed full. She would stop by to check on us or make general conversation. Finally she said the Tomahawk was on the way! I asked if I could video and she said they love it! The steak melted in our mouths and was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Everything we ate was just delicious. The experience was truly bar none and the food was absolutely amazing. I would eat here again and hope I could get Stacie back! I did listen to the other servers while we were waiting and they all seemed to be amazing. I know others on here feel this place is on the pricey side, however I did some research on the cost of a Tomahawk before we came in and I'm satisfied with what we spent. This definitely has more upscale vibes with the service and food but you won't feel out of place if you dine in jeans!"
"Have you ever wondered what clean food taste like? if you don't know you need to go to Our Recipes Café! The food is extremely delicious because it's so fresh and lovingly prepared,in my heart I believe they have a farm in the back back of the restaurant with organically, fed cows, chickens, and organically, grown fruits and vegetables!Look, stop reading this review and get to this cafe as soon as you can, it's worth the trip. I should know, I traveled from DC to eat here and will do so again in a heartbeat!"
"Wow, it's been a minute since my first visit, but let me tell you, this place is the real deal! You gotta run, not walk, to experience it for yourself! I recently celebrated my good good girlfriend's birthday here and everything was absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch, I mean GREAT! The food was out of this world, DELICIOUS! And the creativity in every dish was simply AMAZING! We had a blast with the bubbly flowing, delicious food, and endless laughs! It was truly an unforgettable experience. Trust me, you won't regret it! Tell them T-Mac sent ya!"
"Nice ambiance!Pretty good foods...Nice services....Actually I want to go one more time only thing is too far!"
"The person answering the phone to take reservations is extremely rude! Should've went with my gut but we went anyway and I will say the food was pretty good! The server was not friendly, didn't smile .. just blah! I don't see why so many ppl keep coming to a place that CLEARLY does not need customers because if they did they would treat us with a little more respect and kindness. So sad to see them turn away soo many parties of 2 because they didn't have a reservation. The restaurant had 3 other couples that's it. I would love to come back to try different items in the menu but I can't deal with the rudeness of the staff / owner. Not worth it. All of the negative reviews I read are spot on!!!! Smh"
"Catfish and grits is the best I have ever had, I mean wow. I have had many things from here that have basically all been great, and the people here are great as well!"
"I ordered 4 wings and fried rice! I had the munchies and they did not disappoint. I asked for mumbo sauce and although we all know all mumbo is different, this one was good!! The chicken gave me a Popeyes type vibe! Honestly... it definitely cured my munchies for the nite"
"My husband and I were attending a concert at Howard University and decided to grab some food before the event. The place was cozy and nice that evening. It's located on the second floor. The food was delicious I had some wings and my husband had the brisket sandwich. Cornbread was good too. We had some alcoholic drinks and it had a good kick."
"I enjoy everything about this place. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. The chili Mac is filling and tasty. The corned beef egg rolls are a must. On top of everything being delicious, the prices are more than reasonable. This is a must go to spot. The same goes for the Rockville location."
