Some of my go to items are jerk salmon, curry shrimp, shrimp tacos, and the popular Rasta pasta... the herb coconut Parmesan sauce is yummy but I ask for light sauce now. Consistent Quality. In the interest of time, I place all my orders online. The staff is accommodating and Mad Cow is very friendly to the cycling community. My bike club has organized rides departing from both locations and we dined outside after the rides. One issue that can easily be addressed. I enjoy plantains but no longer order from here due to the shabby quantity. Mad cow charges $6 for a side and there are normally 5 or less pieces inside the cup. I won't run down the list of places that charge the same amount but you get much more. Aside from that, it's good! . Support!!"

"this spot saved my life today. I am a real estate agent and had been working all day without eating. I only had a small window of time to grab some food and stopped at CK. The fried whiting was fried lightly and not too greasy, the potato salad perfect, greens, string beans, mac and cheese , shrimp quesadillas - all delicious. Deanwood needs them here. They took me back to when i was a child growing up in NW DC i use to eat with my neighbors at a place called Goins on Georgia and Shepherd. I miss that place cause they are no longer there and Catherine's Kitchen gave me yummy reminders. I will be back."

"I really enjoyed my meal. The curry was nice and thick and flavorful. The goat meat was tender and seasoned. Fell right off the bone. What I didn't like was all the bones that were in the curry. Even if you wanted a scoop of rice with curry, it was some bones in it. Other than that I really enjoyed it. I'm not the biggest fan of rice and peas, even though I'm Jamaican but I did enjoy those one. The plantains were nice and sweet and not too hard. The lady at the front was also very nice when I picked up my order. No real complaints and I'll be back!!"

"I am very disappointed in my purchase this time. I haven't been here in over a year or longer. This place has changed. They are understaffed. On this particular day. They only had one female working by herself and doing it all. I ordered the whiting fish. Which was alright but my spinach was very salty. I'm pretty sure it was canned smh.They were out of curry goat. I also ordered a side order of cucumber salad. It was drowning in ranch dressing to the point that I didn't even want to eat it.They closed off a portion of the carryout and put up a big wall.The online pictures show tables and booths which made me consider coming back because I actually thought they had upgraded but boy was I wrong.It was hot with no air conditioning. I definitely won't be back. I hope the manager pay attention to his employees and give them the support they need. That way they can pay better attention to the presentation and preparation of the food. He doesn't seem to care much about his staff. Which is a shame because she was very nice. Good employees are hard to find."

The drink are priced the way club drinks are priced, and they weren't as strong as I thought they would be. Even though I asked for a Patron Magarita I KNOW they added some rail Tequilla because I had a headache the next day. But its whatever, I enjoyed it when I was there!"

"Jerk at Nite was a lovely experience in the city.To set the scene, it's on a corner unit on the H street block, and there's a to-go station that is outdoors.Parking was decent, I parked in the neighborhood and my friend found parking across the street.There is not really a fleshed out waiting area, so considering the busy nature of the restaurant, you're going to be a bit awkward, either waiting in your car, waiting in the cold, or standing up in the limited space in the restaurant.Our server was quick to share her perspectives on the dishes we inquired about, and showed pride in how jerk at nite differentiated themselves from other food spots.Now, to the meat and potatoes (pun intended)Me and a friend both got the tropical punch, along with a water. The tropical punch had a layered taste to it- you could definitely taste the passion fruit, mango and more. For both my friend and I, we agreed it was a little watery. It felt like either the result of a syrup based drink, or, a jungle juice type drink where there's ice in the jug, and it melts over time. I didn't think it was too big of a deal, as the degree of watery-ness didn't ruin it. 5/10The Mac & Cheese is an extremely affordable appetizer for the size of dish that you receive. There were 5 people in our party, and we were easily able to split two dishes of the Mac & cheese at $13 a piece. It was extremely seasoned (in a good way), and it didn't have a nasty consistency about it, which is my complaint with a lot of Mac & cheese's. 10/10.The jerk chicken pasta was seasoned TO THE GODS. The sauce was prevalent, but not overwhelming, and the cheese was a nice touch. There even was a kick of spice to each bite. 8/10.I didn't order the tacos, however, the tortilla has a nice char on it, which I appreciate. It didn't fall apart with each bite, and there were enough ingredients within each taco that you're getting a combination of flavors with each bite.Be careful- there was a 18% gratuity included automatically on our check, and our server didn't go out of her way to point it out. One of our friends ended up paying $10 extra, on top of the service charge. That and the tropical punch was the only reason I give Jerk at Nite on H street: 4/5 Stars."

"Let me get straight to the point....This is the best Jamaican food I've ever had.Period.The oxtails fell of the doggone bone y'all!!!And they were seasoned masterfully. Somebody in that kitchen knew exactly what they were doing! At other restaurants, they usually add too much clove or one spice is dominant above all others. The seasoning on these oxtails was perfectly balanced. The rice and peas were absolutely delicious. The rice was delightfully chewy and ever so slightly sweet. The shredded cabbage had the perfect mix of crunch and spice.And speaking of spicy, let's talk about this sorrel. I've never had sorrel with so much ginger. This drink has some BITE baby.... get you some of that!!The beef patty was flaky, a little spicy and very good. There was a little too much crust (or maybe not enough filling) for me, but it didn't take away from the taste at all.Aside from the incredible food, young lady behind the counter was very nice. Jamaican spots are not really known for their hospitality but it was great to get a plate of incredible food, minus the attitude.Aside from a few seats inside of the restaurant, there is also a small bar as well as a seating area outside with a fire pit. I might have to come back and bring my girls.This spot closes at 8:00 p.m. during the week (9:00 p.m. on Saturday), so make sure you get here in time to get you a plate of this deliciousness."

"We met the owner in the neighborhood and he was so kind that we decided to stop by his restaurant. I am SO glad we did. From the outside, you could miss the place but once inside we saw two folks picking up catering orders. I now see why. The service was impeccable. The fish was enormous and wonderfully seasoned. We were asked about "our relationship to spice" and when we hesitated he offered to put the spicy sauce on the side (good move since it was really hot to me, kind of hot to my husband). The fish was so good that my husband barely touched the plantain and that's one of his favorite foods! We had jolof rice and as well which was pretty good (it doesn't compare to the amazing fish). We will certainly be back and we recommend you stop by soon."

"I patronized this business for years in Randallstown. I'm so happy they're finally in Reisterstown. They sit next to Walgreens and because it's in the shopping center, there's plenty of parking. At the time I went, around 5pm on Thursday it wasn't crowded like the one in Randallstown usually is. I was pleasantly greeted and ordered my fav a Stir Fry Plus with Shrimp. The stirfry comes with rice and peas, plantains, and a plethora veggies. The shrimp add an extra deliciousness and of course, protein to the dish. So flavorful and delicious and very filling . Usually I only eat half, which is great because I have some for the next day. They have plenty of fresh drinks such as sorrel, fruit punch, pineapple and ginger drinks along with a variety bottle drinks. They also have a large variety of patties. Of course they have the traditional beef patties, but they also have chicken, spinach and other veggie options. I have never tried desserts, but they have a variety ofcakes and other Island delights if you want to indulge your sweet tooth.If you're in the mood for some good Caribbean food, this is your spot. Fresh hot and delicious."

"The food here is amazing. Sweet Sweet Kitchen is a small African/Caribbean restaurant that offers authentic Caribbean & West African food. You will be hooked on your visit. I literally came on a Friday came back on Saturday. My favorite dishes include the Cassava Leaf, this was actually my first time trying this dish. I love the curry chicken and the oxtail is fall off the bone good. I want to try the curry goat and the snapper next but I keep getting the curry chicken. Parking is limited. There are a few tables to enjoy your meal at this location. Prices are big higher then most Caribbean spots, but totally worth it. All the food is halal/kosher."

This place is carryout style and they offer Caribbean and West African dishes. I usually get oxtail or curry goat, but I substitute the white rice with jollof rice and add a meat pie. My order was ready and one of the employees explained that there was something wrong with their system. I wondered why they didn't call to update me, but the female employee who greeted me was pleasant, so I didn't make a fuss. The chicken tasted like baked chicken; no jerk flavor. I didn't appreciate the taste of cloves in the rice and peas. The plantains were sweet and delicious. The cabbage had a nice smell, but something on them -- not sure if it was butter or oil -- didn't sit well with me and I wasn't able to finish it. We each got a very generous portion loaded with meat atop rice & peas, with a cabbage vegetable medley and a couple slices of plantain. Everything was very good, which is a relief since this portion is about 4 meals worth for my appetite. I think I like the veggies here the best of the veggies at the other Caribbean restaurants in the area. The curry goat was on point, good flavor, though not quite as spicy as I am used to. It does still have some heat though. And did I mention how much meat they gave me, it wasn't all bones or skin. Lots of delicious curry to seep into the rice & peas. The plantains aren't candied or super soft, but they add a teeny bit of sweet to the mix. Prices would seem on the high side if I weren't going to get several meals out of it. The card prices were a couple percent more than the cash prices; curry goat 26 instead of 25 etc. so if you carry cash use it here.It isn't a place for ambience; even ordering dine in it comes in the takeout box, but that is fine because we knew we would take most of it home and we didn't come for date night.Food was ready in about 10 minutes plus or minus.All in all a solid choice especially if you don't want it super spicy."

"My favorite dish at Weakness for Sweetness is the Jerk salmon with vegetables, plantains and "Bob Marley" rice. The salmon is always fresh and prepared exquisitely. The "Bob Marley" rice is Spanish style yellow rice with seasonings and chopped vegetables. The dish just works. Their jerk is not overly spicy and very flavorful. The curried dishes are worth a try as well. I am a roti addict, and here it is cooked just the way I like it. I still have yet to try their version of Jamaica's national dish, Ackee and salt fish. In most of the dishes you can see and definitely tastes the fresh spices like thyme, allspice, and peppers. They sale extra gravy/sauce like jerk or curry. Get the extra. Also, the Bob Marley rice is a must, even if peas and rice is your go-to. Just add the other rice dish as a side order to compare.The desserts push the stars up a notch. So many fresh baked cakes, breads, pies. The coco bread is so filling and pleasantly so. The red velvet cake has to be my favorite guilty pleasure. Pro tip- make sure to stop in on Jamaican Independence day and Bob Marley's birthday. They add specials to the menu that are outstanding. Lastly, the staff and owner are downright nice. They answer your questions and will let you know if your request can be accommodated, like more rice in lieu of plantains. Just a great place in Prince George's County to get Jamaican cuisine and scratch baked sweets."
