"When my kids were younger, weed, frequent basmati restaurant often. One big reason was because I have three sons, and they will eat me out of house and home so having the benefit of going to an all you can eat buffet was a blessing. On this day, we just decided on a whim to head up. Unfortunately, we missed the buffet, but we ordered some of our classic favorites, we started with the two piece, veggie vegetable samosas and decided to try the Mulligawtny soup. Both were delicious. The soup was ground lentils, with a nice spice level. Not over the top but just enough to make you know it was in there. The samosas were served with three different sauces. all of which were delicious. One was sweet, one not so sweet and one that had a nice kick to it. I couldn't decide which one I liked the best so I put all three of them on. The Samosas were just like I remembered crispy on the outside with smashed vegetables, potatoes, peas, carrots, with a curry sort of flavored undertone that was just delicious! I actually think a serving size of three would be better but I might just be greedyThe tandoori chicken, sizzling and generously portioned came out with peppers and onions. It wasn't spicy or is it supposed to be, but very well seasoned, along with a large bowl of basmati rice. It was good to return to Basmati. Next time we won't late so far in between visits!"
"We shared the Nepal House Feast, which is a platter for two that has a little bit of everything. It was fabulous. The tandoori chicken was flavorful and juicy, the curries were balanced and spiced, and the naan was toasty. The little trio of sauces was also excellent. All in all this was a great and very affordable mid-week dinner. I am now dying to go back for the lunch buffet."

"I have been going to this testsujt for dine-in/carry out for nearly 5 years and it's always consistently delicious. My favorite is the goat curry(yes, it has bones in it--you get to lick your fingers ). The chicken tikka masala is also very good. One one my favorite Indian restaurants in Baltimore. Definitely worth checking out!"
"We had a great carry out meal. The veggie samosas were excellent, perfect crust and delicious. The salmon tikka and veggie tikka masala were mildly spicy as requested and were both excellent. Naan - perfect texture and yummy. This was the fifth time we have had carry out from them and there will be sixth, seventh eighth..."
"I can always appreciate the good authentic Jamaican cuisine that's served up here. I used to indulge in the lunchtime buffet prior to the pandemic since it was nearby to my place of employment. The brethren always welcome me with a smile and are eager to take my order. I ordered a trio of boiled dumplings, rice and peas and cabbage. My order came out quickly and I was on my way."
"You like all you can eat with amazing hibachi in the back this is where you should go. Good for everyone kids , adults literally everyone from noodles to chicken to seafood to sushi and one of my favorite habachi places this place has been a hit especially for large groups for years"

This is one of my favorite spots! Service is always prompt, the food is fresh and full of earthy, fresh, developed flavors. I love their remodel with a big window and the interior is perfect for both causal hangs but also celebratory nights like birthdays, anniversaries, parties, etc. The bar seating is cute too.Menu is expansive and I love coming here with my friends that do and do not eat meat! They all love, love, love the food! Tip: order to share so everyone can taste a bunch of the menu!Easily my favorite spot for Indian/Nepalesian food in the neighborhood and has been since 2014 when I first moved to Baltimore. They're always so nice and dining in the service is reliably great.

I love this place. I've come here for several times over several weeks, and it's always a great experience. I order takeout tandoori chicken as spicy as they can make it. It's amazing every time. I appreciate their willingness to accommodate my high spice tolerance. The staff is kind and friendly, and the food is made to order. The restaurant inside has pleasant decor and is a nice space to sit. I highly suggest Lumbini. I will continue to be a regular here.

It's hit or miss at this place for both the food and the service. When it's good, it's great. When it's not, it's terrible. I work nearby and have been frequenting this place for 3+ years now. I usually order for pick-up, but I have dined in twice. I almost always get the chicken tikka masala. Sometimes, the food is spectacular (chicken is tender and flavorful), other times the chicken is bland and overcooked. The sauce has remained consistent though and I like that you can specify your spiciness level on a scale of 1-10 with noticeable differences between the spice levels. The portions vary as well. They keep changing their take-out containers and the portion sizes are noticeably different. Sometimes they have the aluminum pans and other times they have the plastic take-out containers. I even commented once that the take-out and dine-in portion sizes are noticeably different. The service is just as inconsistent. Some days I walk in to a warm, welcoming, friendly smile. Other days, I get cold and disinterested service. My two dine-in experiences had the same level of inconsistency. My first time, the service was top notch. The second time, I came in and sat out front for 10 minutes (no exaggeration) waiting for service. Someone came out at the 8-min mark, but he was on his earpiece on a call and didn't even acknowledge me. I hollered out "hello?" several times, but I ultimately had to walk behind the bar and peek my head behind the curtains to get service. So, like I said, hit or miss. When it's good, it's great. When it's not, it's not.

Yall can go ahead and run to this here spot. Actually friendly/kind service (don't usually find that for Caribbean food spots lol) and a nice clean open space. That goat roti is something I would come back for weekly! That and their beef patties - so good! Beef and chicken patties both have just a little spice so if you don't like a little kick then don't get it. I thought it was mild but noticeable. Both patties were a great size and meat to bread ratio. Perfect snack on the go. I found the oxtail to be sweeter than I would go for but was cooked well. The goat had great flavor and the roti was cooked perfectly. I'll be back whenever I'm back that way

Yayyyyyy for the new Vegan restaurant. The food is flavorful. I definitely enjoyed all my purchases. I noticed they have a lot of healthy vegan snacks right at checkout. I pre ordered my food online. I didn't get a chance to dine in. They do have dining in options. I definitely plan on returning to purchase more from the menu. Everything was delicious. If you haven't already, you should check them out. I am not a vegan, but I do love vegan food. The service for my pickup was prompt. Can't wait to return.

I'm obsessed with this place! Some of the best mango lassi that I've found thus far in the Baltimore area. Their buffet, while better (and slightly more expensive) on weekends, is fantastic value at ~$16/person. They offer unlimited mango lassi as part of their buffet, and also had gulab jamun, plain rice, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, goat curry, aloo pakora, plain naan, and much more! A personal favorite that I tried during the buffet was the Sakoon chicken kabob, which I will definitely come back to try again.Their regular dining is also very yummy--I am a huge fan of the garlic naan and vegetable samosa chaat (which is technically an appetizer, but I often get it as a midday snack or meal). They offer almost all their food at spice levels 1-5--5 gets really spicy, but it's a great kick! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh, yummy local Indian food!

"We ordered the green beans and mapo tofu and both were so delicious. Their service was great - such friendly staff. Really happy to have this restaurant so close by."
"This is a GEM! Randomly stopped at this spot mid afternoon. The food was so flavorful and the chicken was cooked absolutely perfectly! Our server had such a gentle personality, very kind. The whole experience was great, perfect date spot :) 10/10!"
"Still a really nice buffet. If you go around lunchtime and dinner time, you always get hot fresh food. Not quite so fresh. In the slow time but that's expected at a buffet. I love their chicken curry"
"Saturday was the first time we visited the new location. The last time I went when they were still next to Chik-Fil-A was a disappointing experience. Went with some co-workers for a lunch buffet in the middle of the week and the buffet was small and food was very bland.Fast forward 3 years. They are now located in the space formerly occupied by Mongolian Grill. After some Saturday errands, the wife and I were going to try out Royal Taj near Green Turtle for lunch but the place was packed. Since we had already convinced ourselves we wanted Indian food, we decided to try Mirchi Wok. I remembered my less-than-stellar experience but decided to suck it up since she wanted Indian. We walked in and there were only 3 other tables occupied, which was odd after seeing Royal Taj filled to the brim. Things weren't looking good for this place. They've re-used the serving space left behind by Mongolian Grill so it appears there is much more food offerings than their old location. The foods are labeled so you know what you're getting for the most part. Seating space also increased. After the first few bites, my old memory of their bland food disappeared and was replaced by the yumminess of the naan, the goat, the curry potatoes, and the fragrant rice. The food quality was much improved. I don't know if tandoori chicken is supposed to be dry but every time I've had it at any Indian restaurant (whether buffet or off the menu), it's been dry. That was really the only thing I did not enjoy at lunch. They have soups, salads, and dessert, too.The servers were very attentive. Even though they leave the water pitcher at the table with you, they were constantly stopping by our table to refill our water glasses for us. Plates were cleared in a timely manner. About 15 minutes into our meal, the place started filling up with many people, most of whom were Indian (so that's a good sign). We overheard the couple behind us tell the server and the owner (a nice lady) that they were vegan. She went over their menu what vegan offerings they had. I stopped listening early on since I could barely understand her English but it was nice of her to take the time to go over the food choices with them. When they first arrived at the restaurant, she took them around to the food items to explain what they were. I wish we would've asked somebody what this and that sauce was but we tend to just try and experiment. Will have to try the vegetarian offerings at Mango Grove next."
"Food is okay. Nothing special. Place is really big and open. They have a place for small party or event. Place isn't very clean. I was very disappointed about that. Plenty of free parking. Waiter and staffs are very nice and friendly."
"Mixed review: I was disappointed because I seen this place empty but on the Saturday noon time it was quite crowded and some Maryland Smart Talk was in, and the number of the available dishes disappointed me. If you see the price you'll notice it was under $10 on a Saturday and a drink comes with it. Everything in the place is clean, now some hours later I'm not sick on the food."
