John D. "I Willy Like ItWilly's Kitchen has been bringing housemade, locally-sourced/produced ingredients and goods to this little suburb of Baltimore for over twenty years now. We were only in the Baltimore area for a short while and knew that we couldn't pass up getting some fresh Chesapeake Bay Crab--even if it was for breakfast! The Good:*Fairly large menu with a nice variety for anyone and everyone. *Supporting your local area when dining here as most of the main ingredients are sourced locally--even the bison!*We both enjoyed our crabby breakfasts: the Crab Explosion Omelet and Chesapeake Crab Cake Benedict. They were both full of crab with perfectly cooked eggs. *Great prices as Crab-filled dishes like this would fetch twice the price back home in The Bay. *Cozy location with pleasant and understated décor. The Meh:*Coffee was decent. Nothing spectacular but your run-of-the-mill diner cup o' Joe.The Ugly:*Service was a little gruff, but that's almost to be expected in this part of the country, as "Charm City" isn't exactly a fitting moniker. TLDR: Tasty home-cooked grub with a side of sass."

Robin T. "I had lunch at Parkway Deli yesterday, and as always, it was a fantastic experience! I've eaten here many times, but this is my first time posting a review. I ordered the Pastrami Delight sandwich, and it truly lived up to its name. The pastrami was bursting with flavor, with just the right amount of crispy charred bits. The cheese was perfectly melted, and the coleslaw added the perfect crunch to every bite. I'd add a pic, but I was so hungry I didn't stop to take one!I paired it with goodies from the famous pickle bar--dill pickles, sauerkraut, and banana peppers--which made the meal even better. My server was friendly and attentive, and my food arrived quickly, which I really appreciated. On my way out, I couldn't resist picking up a tub of whitefish and a tub of chopped liver to snack on later--both were absolutely delicious. If you're ever in Silver Spring or nearby, Parkway Deli is a must-visit. The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently top-notch. You won't be disappointed!"

Carolyn C. "Yes, they are fully vegan (plant-based) and before you shake your head no, believe me when I say they serve up some of the most tasteful dishes I have had. For example, the menu offers ingredients that you wouldn't be able to try unless you travel a lot--ingredients that are ordered from around the world! Guaranteed high-quality gourmet styled dishes each visit! Their coffee and breakfast bar open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM. If you are here for coffee, you must try the Magic Mushroom Hot Maca-Latte! In addition to espresso and coffee, they have smoothies (Green Machine Smoothie for the win) and fresh pressed juices (ginger elixir--sooooo good).Brunch is served on the weekends from 9:00 AM through 3:00 PM (I recommend the apple cinnamon pancakes). On Thursday and Friday from 7:30 PM until 9:30 PM they have live music. Gabriella D. "I have always had a great experience here! Though there are many tasty looking options, my order has always been pretty consistent lol. As a girl raised in the South, I have been satisfied with their grits for the most part. Yes, there are times when I add more butter, salt and pepper. Grits is the most important item to me, because I mix it with my scrambled eggs and have it with toast. I did try the crab grits once and it tasted just like what it sounds like, something like a crabcake. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. They sell a lot of books and has a Cafe type vibe, which is great for business brunches in a casual and non distraction setting. The staff rounds it out by always being polite and efficient."

Sadhana P. "A cute study spot in the Mt. Vernon area! They have a rotating selection of syrups that are great in drinks, especially in their matchas. I got the maple brown sugar caramel syrup in my matcha, and my friend got the lavender vanilla syrup in hers, and both were great with the flavors of the syrups clearly coming through. The only con to the matcha is the size is pretty small for the price, so I wouldn't be coming here for my regular matcha fix, but it is a nice treat. The spicy-g mac and cheese is a highlight of the menu, and comes in a pretty big portion for its price, which was pleasantly surprising. The portion of the Spicy Korean Street Style Noodles was also very large and enough to take home for leftovers for me, but leaned a little saltier than how I would typically eat, especially with the Spicy Garlic Chicken as my protein. The pricing is reasonable at $15 for the noodles. Another highlight on the menu for me has been the kimchi potato salad, which is perfectly tangy and a great fusion dish. Service was quick; no complaints from me!The WiFi works pretty well and there are plenty of seats, but the volume is a little high for a good study spot without noise cancelling headphones if that's what you're looking for--but it's definitely a great brunch spot on the weekends."

Pamela M. "After a long 7-hour drive, we stopped by Spoons Café for breakfast, and the food did not disappoint! We had the stuffed French toast, home fries, and mimosas, all of which were delicious. The service was also relatively fast. One thing we really appreciated was that the café wasn't crowded, making it a nice, quiet space to enjoy our meal and have conversations without too much background noise.Unfortunately, our experience was affected by poor service. Our waiter forgot one of our orders and, instead of addressing the mistake professionally, was rude to us. I waited for my friend's food to arrive before eating, and by then, mine had gone cold. It was disappointing, especially because the food itself was great. If you're looking for a quiet spot with good breakfast options, this place is worth checking out--just hope for better service!"

Mike H. "As we've come to expect we were greeted warmly and seated in short order, soon after Abagail came to the table and took our drink and appetizer order. Over the course of our dinner, she checked on us regularly and kept our drinks full asking if we would like coffee or dessert when the time came.We started with the Crab Dip, which was plentiful and arrived piping hot, sadly the amount of salt in the dip overshadowed the delicate taste of the crab and cheese. The pretzels sticks weren't impressive either, it was nice that they weren't salted but the dough was heavy and lacked flavor. The rolls and corn bread were quite nice. The rolls had a nice crust and were soft on the inside, we enjoyed them with the butter that came with them. I was pleased with the corn bread, it had a wonderful consistency, and a subtle corn flavor, the corn bread was warmed leaving the cut edges lightly toasted. My wife ordered Fish & Chips with a Small Garden Salad. The fish was well cooked, flaked easily and coated with a light beer batter.I went with the Mahi Reuben, it was a nicely done Reuben with the traditional corned beef swapped for Mahi, the Gruyere was a pleasant addition and worth repeating. As a side I choose onion rings which were a subtle ring of onion coated with a delicate beer batter. Abagail suggested the horseradish dip and I thought I'd give it a try, if you like a good strong horseradish this dip is for you. I ended up, despite the full flavor, setting the dip aside as the burn was too much."

The owners and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is very clean, and pleasantly decorated. The food is excellent! Tacos range from $5-6 each, but they are packed with meat (probably enough for two tacos at other restaurants) and the flavors are incredible. I was starving but after two tacos and some chips and guac, I was struggling to eat my third taco. The tacos come with two flour tortillas each, which probably didn't help with becoming so full so quickly. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious tacos and authentic flavors! I got the crab hash and it was delicious, my partner got the Maryland omelette and he was really pleased with that as well. The cinnamon bun was huge and so we split it, and the manager/owner was nice enough to share homemade jam. It was awesome! Finally, I can't say how elated I was to see a bottle of hand sanitizer at each table. It's nice to know that after I've used the same salt and pepper shaker half the free world has, I can just use a quick pump of the sanitizer they keep at the table, instead of having to dig it out of my purse every time I add additional pepper to my food (also they keep Old Bay seasoning on tap which I appreciate)."

Once we got seated and settled in at our table, I understood why another colleague suggested our friend not bring her baby. It isn't the most family friendly, depending on when you go and we were there during the height of Sunday brunch. It can get very lively as can the crowd, especially once the adult beverages get to flowing. The table setup can be a little tight for high chairs or carriages also - not ideal. The service was good, the live music was amazing and the food was pretty tasty also! The cocktails were aesthetically pleasing and flavorful with tons of options. The menu is full of great fare to choose from. We shared some delicious wings to start. Everything from the breakfast sandwiches & french toast, to the mac n cheese, to the oxtail & grits and breakfast potatoes was yummy, served hot and in large enough portions. I'll have to remember which cocktails we had but I feel like my second one had sorrell in it - Fenton Street Evening. The first one was likely Mint Prohibition or Dreaming of Paradise. We were able to find close by parking on the street while our friends parked a block or two down the road. Our wait wasn't horribly long. We enjoyed the energy of the spot and are overall happy we went. When traveling domestically I like going to spots that I know I can't get in my own home city so this was a great choice. Check out The Breakfast Club if you like live jazz/ RnB and good brunch food.
