"We found this spot by accident, and we were very lucky. Everyone was extremely helpful in explaining the options as well as what to order. We were concerned about price to portion ratio, but we were wrong. Plenty of food with great taste and tons of options. I'd recommend this place to anyone."
"OK Jake's might be coming for Chap's. Stopped here for lunch on my way to a winery so I can have some bbq with my pinot and I was so glad my homegirl thought to do this!I got a whole rack of ribs, 2 sausages, and pit beef sandwich, mac and chees, chips and a drink and just barely cracked $40.sausages came with peppers and onions and throw on some tiger sauce I was in heave.Got the ribs with sauce on the side so i could see what they were hitting on and whew chile so good and tender I never ended up using the sauce. Pit beef was nice and mac and cheese was perfectly cheesy.this place is small so during colder months you might be taking your order to enjoy at home but everyone is there is super friendly, I left with carnations and a smile. Def stop into this place on your way to a winery because you'll be the fav when you bring for real food and everyone else brought charcuterie"

"I ordered their 10 person catering for a watch party last night. Everyone kept saying how great the pulled pork and Mac and cheese was. I mean everybody. I send their website to at least 10 people. On top of that, I when I showed up to pick up the food their staff was attentive, working hard, and got things to me right on time.I will definitely be going back."
"Always my go to for BBQ. Quality food at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Take out is always ready on time if you preorder."
"Would never have come across this place if it had not been for a word of mouth recommendation. I've been here twice now, once for their regular menu and the last time for the bbq. The bbq is what I would recommend! Meats are marinated well and I really enjoyed the charcoal concept. Staff were fantastic and always around, keeping an eye on things. The kimchi pancake was a total hit! And a great portion. Would definitely get it again. The tteokbokki was a little different to what I'm used to. Their dish had a lot of curry and rice cakes - no scallions and very little fish cakes, which was disappointing.Overall great experience and reasonable prices. Would come back for the BBQ."
"Always a great spot to hit. I've dined in and gotten take-out many times. The restaurant is a more rustic, bar feel. The service is fairly quick and their food is phenomenal. 100% would recommend their Pulled Pork platter. Their bread pudding is also a MUST. They have a variety of different types and my favorite one is the Brownie Chunk Bread Budding."
"Delicious!! Just had the teriyaki chicken! I looooove the Mac salad they throw in there. With my brand new gut issues, it was very friendly. I ate far too much rice too. I couldn't stop myself. They have the guava canned drinks as well. I've always been obsessed with them. It was buy 1 get one free. Can't beat that!"
"Loved it years ago. A few trips recently have been less favorable. BBQ was dry. A BBQ place should be consistent and the servers should be able to look at a plate, see it's dry, and not serve it to you. The wings are good. They're not as crazy good as some people say. Skin can be gummy. Buffalo sauce is mild. Meat is great. Better than most wings. Bartenders are consistently friendly when you walk in but then get distracted. Has happened last few times. Got wings last time, ordered blue cheese, came with ranch. No one noticed. Asked again for blue cheese. Never got it.They have good live music often. The stage area is odd though. It's kind of behind a low wall. There is no great place to watch the band other than one table right in front. They should take down the walls unless they need them for something else. That said, the walls are nice to lean on. Maybe make them railings... I do like the place and see that it is a popular local favorite for people who live in the area. Just hasn't wow'd me lately. I'll give the brisket one more chance. They have daily food and happy hour specials worth asking about. Then check your receipt and make sure you get that discount."
"This used to be one of my favorite brunch spots while I was in college here. A lot of things have changed since then, and while Buddy's has as well its spirit is the same. This is a great seafood restaurant located perfectly in downtown Annapolis with stunning views of the water and downtown. The ambience is casual but very friendly. The food is mostly the same as it used to be, lots of good seafood especially local specialties like the crab cakes. Their Sunday brunch is also famous and definitely worth the trip. Some of the quality of the food does seem to have gone down slightly, but that just be nostalgia messing with memories. The crab cakes were still delicious, but some of the other stuff like the eggs were overcooked and a bit dry. Still worth the trip if you want a great meal with a view!"
"I got the boneless sweet and spicy fried chicken ($25.99). It came with fries and a salad. The chicken was very good - crispy and flavorful. They also gave a 4 complimentary side dishes of kimchi, pickled radish, tofu with a chili sauce, and green beans and cabbage. That was nice to eat while we waited for our chicken to arrive. Our server was friendly and the food came out relatively fast. The kitchen is open until midnight so I can see how it is a very popular spot for college students, which seems to be most of their customers. In terms of the ambiance, it was very casual. There is a bar up front with Korean BBQ plates. They also have there own private parking lot, which is a plus!"
"Fantastic BBQ brisket and pulled pork. The red grillin sauce and blackberry sauce were tasty as well. Was happy with the food the came out very fast and the service was good. The even accommodated our party of 8 without a problem on a Friday night!"
"Husband and I was in the area and stopped by for lunch. There was only one additional customer at the bar when we arrived, which is where we sat, and there was no other customers in the restaurant. We did notice a few takeout orders were picked up. We had to get the waitresses attention to order drinks (which were good). The food was good sized portions, had great presentation, but the flavor was bland, almost like there was no seasoning added. I ordered the mini chicken sliders with fries, and had to add salt at every bite. My husband ordered the salmon caesar salad. He said it was just okay, the salmon was smaller. The entire experience was just mediocre, we will not be returning."

It's been so long since I've had authentic Korean barbecue but this hit the spot! I was a bit skeptical about driving out to Ellicott City, but it was worth the drive. Also, the marketplace and other storefronts in the strip mall add to the whole reason to visit. Anyways, the food was DELICIOUS! Seriously, any place where they bring you the banchan without asking and cook right on the table is a win. The bulgogi is so tender and tasty. We ordered wayyy too much, but it's not like I'm going to complain about having leftover jap chae for lunch. A definite must visit!

Our first taste of Jake's was at the state fair last summer and we wanted to try the restaurant because the sandwich was so good. We decided to take the 40 minute drive to see the grill and we're glad we did. It's not much to look at but usually the best food comes from no frills restaurants. When we came in the cashier could tell it was our first time and gave us quick orientation. BEST pit beef I've ever had. I ordered mine rare and it was tender and smoky. We also ordered Mac and cheese which was awesome and Cole slaw. Slaw was just ok but the Mac and cheese was hot and cheesy. We sat to take it all in and watched numerous customers come and go and be very happy they did. The people sitting around us were friendly and talkative. Felt like we made new friends over BBQ.It's not the post beautiful place but the food is great and people are warm and friendly. Worth the drive.

Had a nice little time at the bar having a happy hour drink. I was attending the Yelp event and arrived a hour early so decided to have a drink at the bar to kill time. Luckily happy hour was still going on. I decided to have an Old Fashioned since Blue Pit is known as a whiskey bar. Bar tender gave me a menu and kept my glass full of water. It wasn't very busy at the bar so he was pretty attentive. Since I only had a hour I didn't order any food. I would have gotten some fried but I did not see any on the menu. My Old Fashioned came out pretty fast. It was good but they used regular ice instead of a large whiskey cube so as a sipped on it it was diluted by the melting ice. I didn't make it to the outdoor patio area. I see that they are dog friendly and did see a few people going out to the patio with their 4 legged friends. Bar wasn't very crowded and they had some baseball games on the TV behind the bar.

Hands down the best best korean food in dare I say the DMV? It's for sure the best BBQ, and I've been to Annadale and Ellicott City. Jong Kak is in the former Koreatown of Baltimore and has such a long history in the city. It serves a lot of MICA kids and stays open quite late and offers karaoke in the evenings. I believe it's only Friday and Saturday. I've been here a handful of times, and the staff is always super friendly, and they bring you yakult as an after dinner service. I came here recently on a random Friday for lunch and the kimchi pancake was so good, the first time I had it, it was lacking but it's always dependent on what kimchi you use. It's very traditional in the side dishes they bring you, and they will bring you lettuce for the bbq. They have a lot of Korean dishes you don't get in a lot of places, and for that I am so grateful. Their takeout is also solid, I've gotten it delivered a handful of times. The area can get a little sketchy, but always worth a visit if you're craving Karaoke (eat to get a discount on the hourly rate), BBQ or just a good Korean meal.

Kloby's is a local legend. But not why you think.Their BBQ is delicious, don't get me wrong. Everything I've had there is good and their 6 or 7 daily varieties of bread pudding will make your A1C levels tremble in fear! But what they're really legendary for is their bourbon list - wow. You don't generally think of BBQ joints as being the best place to find amazing pours, but Kloby's is the exception! They've got a list that will blow your mind. You've got to see their back bar to believe it.

"Stopped by this place on a random drive. All their food looked delicious. I got the pulled chicken sandwich. While it was pulled but more small tender, the chicken was moist, and the sauce was really good. The beans were different but delicious with a slight vinegar taste. Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy and they gave us a soup for free that was also very delicious. But that sweet tea and corn bread.... so good! Cornbread was like a little light cake. I'm from Georgia, so we like our sweet tea and the tea was delicious! My husband enjoyed his food, and said the turkey was amazing.Great random stop that I would visit again.Plenty of parking, prices were reasonable.Service was fast."
"Great place! The staff was so nice. I got two bowls and they were great. I enjoyed the vegan beef and noodles. It was really delicious and all the toppings were flavorful and fresh. The spicy chili sauce was great. My husband really liked his chicken bowl as well. Excellent value for the price. I can't wait to go back and try different items. They also had some fun snacks and a freezer full of mochi and other items. The restaurant was very clean as well. Definitely will be a repeat customer."
"Yum! Why did I wait so long to eat here?? The place is adorable, the employees are super friendly, and the BBQ, meatloaf, & wings were delicious."
"This was some real down home cookin'.I had the pig feet dinner. Don't judge. The meatiest feet I've ever had. If you don't know, don't worry, you just don't know. The Mac n cheese was to die for and the yams had me lookin for Mom in the kitchen. Mom's gone on."
"We came here on Friday night to order food. This is a small place that only has one picnic table out front with no shade which is OK. We came to order and take home.We both got the Big Bad Wolf sandwich that is barbecue, brisket, and bacon-- the holy trinity of food goods. I had to dissect my sandwich that came on a toasted bun-- it was too big and hot and messy to hold, which I just love. We both agreed that these sandwiches are amazing and high quality.I really want to give a shout-out to the Bacon which I deemed as perhaps the Best Bacon I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was thick yet crispy and delicate. It melted on my tongue like sugar. Sigh. As an old person who has eaten a lot of bacon, that's sayin' something. I love you, Bacon from Big Bad Wolf! And the cole slaw! It is de-licious and homemade, not the usual corporate slaw cliche.Thank you Big Bad Wolf Barbeque on Harford Road in Baltimore, Maryland! We will be back."
"Between you and me, I have a crush on one of the ajummas here - she doesn't know it but it's one of the reasons why I keep coming back. But onto what truly matters in a KBBQ establishment - the meat. Heaven all mighty how I could deceive you all by saying the meat was on a whole 'nother level, but honestly it isn't the best meat I've laid tongue on. Don't get me wrong, the meat isn't bad, but it definitely isn't the gold standard. Where this place truly shines is in its warm atmosphere of food and cheer. This is where you come to hang out with friends over good food and drinks. The servers here add to the boisterous atmosphere along with the blaring non-stop K-pop.Though I have enjoyed many occasions here with friends, it really isn't anything special compared to other Maryland KBBQ locations in Ellicott city and Rockville. However, it is the only place in Maryland that does KBBQ, a necessary pillar of Asian cuisine that needs to be represented.I believe the only thing holding this place back is the quality of meat. If it were higher and shown more attention, this place would be unstoppable. Alas, it still has a place in my heart. Would recommend and will be visiting again."
"The Memphis pulled pork is amazing. I love the fried Mac n cheese bites too. This is the best bbq I've had in Maryland and it's a great place to order catering."
"Awesome place for sushi... Or a cheesesteak! Total dichotomy but it's true.I loved the rolls we ordered- the Dragonfly roll was fantastic & the special scallop roll (forgot the name sorry) was pretty good. I didn't love the lettuce wraps we ordered as it didn't have a lot of flavor. The cheesesteak I saw my neighbor bring served looked really good - lots of cheese! I'm looking forward to coming back & trying some ramen. This is a really cool restaurant- something for everyone!"
"VERY GOOD. I got the pit beef sandwiches with the bread on the side so it didn't get soggy. They packed it up great and my son killed it."
"A decent BBQ option in Bethesda. Lots of craft beers to choose from and a varied menu. Be aware that you order at the counter then go have a seat. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich along with some appetizers. Mozzarella sticks were very good, mac and cheese was decent and the pulled pork didn't disappoint. If you're used to more authentic BBQ you probably won't be a fan."
"Really delicious and reasonably pricedDid their $36 AYCE and was well worth it!The spicy pork belly was amazing! The brisket was great too!Service was good."
"Best ribs ever!!!! The chicken, brisket, and all the sides are amazing too!!! I've yet to be disappointed and we order from PIGS a few times a month. Now that says something."
"Stopped by here on our way home from PA on a whim and we were very pleasantly surprised. First of all the service was great, our server Adam was awesome, very friendly and on top of everything. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. It was nice to see so many smiles and no workers looking at their phones. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices very reasonable. I had the 1/2 rack of smokehouse rib special, gave half my ribs to my husband and still couldn't quite finish my half. Fries were served hot and seasoned perfectly and even the coleslaw was good. My husband enjoyed his smokehouse quesadillas, he said they were delicious. We shared steamed shrimp that was steamed perfectly and served with onions. We had way too much food and had to take some home. I highly recommend this place and hope to be back someday, although it's a bit of a drive for us. Definitely a great place to eat."
"Been here several times. Consistently good food. Reasonable prices. Pit beef good, fries are very good and chicken tenders are absolutely the best esp with Honey Mustard Sauce they offer as a side."
"Ironically the best cheesesteak I've ever had. And it's not in Philly. TIP: Call before you go to confirm their hours of the day. I was driving on a Sunday from NYC and arrived close to 4pm. The kitchen was 10 minutes from closing."
"Thank you Matt, I feel like my review should be amended. I visited today and the ribs were fabulous. After the situation regarding their cooking methods was explained I fully understand now what went wrong in my past reviews. The ribs were exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you to the team, the ribs were tender, delicious and full of meat! Well worth another visit!"
"First of all I used the yelp app to order my food. Super simple even allows you to add a custom tip and also provides you with real time tracking to know when your food will be ready. It had been a while since I ordered from Pep Boys, but I had a hankering for a good pit beef sandwich and fries. The pit beef sandwich was moist medium rare and warm to the touch, exactly the way you would want it served. It had a smoky flavor and had the perfect meat to bun ratio. Flavor was magnificent. One of the best pit beef so I've had in a long time, even during the quarantine they're putting out awesome products. The french fries in my opinion stole the show, even though they probably came out of a frozen bag from your local grocery store, where in the earth do you find crinkle cut fries now days. They were piping hot and extra crispy with a little salt and pepper on them made the meal perfectIf you're quarantined and scared to be around other people, place your order ahead using the yelp app, watch the timer and then enter the store, which has been perfectly social distanced inside take your meal go home and enjoy."
"The french dip with tiger sauce is where it's at. Geraniums portion. Service and food are fast. Prices are reasonable. Full bar, all the pit meats and sides you could want, plus ice cream. Yay for rolling grill. The meats here are superior to the other option."
"Came here after a disastrous lunch at RIPs in Bowie and a trip to a somewhat nearby beach. I found this place on Yelp and I cannot say enough good things about the food! I had a pulled pork sandwich that was big enough for two people. I also got a side of mac & cheese, which to be honest was a little too liquid cheesy for me so I would pass on that next time. After I ordered, I was talking to one of the employees and he advised me next time to get the sliders so I could try more things. Because I don't live in that area unfortunately. I think if I did, I would go every week! The prices are much higher than the menu picture here, but I suppose that is true at most places these days. The staff was extremely friendly and you could tell they cared a lot about the food they were serving. The only negative is the lack of seating inside. They have a few benches, but they don't really look like they're designed for dining. There were some outdoor picnic tables, but I tried to eat there and some sort of insects showed up so I ended up eating in my car.I found a few other places in this area that I want to try, but I am definitely going to bring a cooler in the car next time cause I would love to get some stuff to take home and try some more of their sides! Also, they don't have a bathroom so make sure you take care of business before you arrive !"
"I want to give a shout out to 108 for hosting a great thanksgiving eve, but also for being so kind and responsible and offering any bar guest a free ride/uber home if needed I felt safe and taken care of thanks!"
"My favorites here are the brisket and the Riblettes. I come here weekly (which I guess isn't saying much since they haven't even been open a month yet). But so far I don't think I'll be ending my weekly tradition anytime soon. So what's cool about this place? It represents the changing neighborhood well by blending two cultures (old and new). Traditional American smoked meats and modern boba/bubble tea (Asian) drinks. Only in America can you find such a unique fusion. Why should you come here? Because the food is pretty good and the prices are super competitive compared to other bbq or boba places in the area. I only wish they had their own Mumbo sauce."
"My wife and I ate dinner here on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. It was our first visit but not our last. Jill took great care of us. And our ribs & shrimp were delicious. Thank you for a lovely dining experience."
"I think their St. Louis ribs are outstanding. My family adores them; we get a half rack without the bread and side, and it runs $14 and some change (includes tax).Other menu selections that are respectable include burnt ends; fried okra; and Texas sidewinder fries (plain or loaded).Sandwiches are what they offer most, but I've not had many of them. I favor the larger cuts of meats, such as pork ribs and prime beef ribs.I'm not keen on their granny's apple slaw or mother-in-slaw. Ditto on the slices of white bread.I appreciate the way the food items are carefully boxed up and placed in a paper bag with strong handles for carry-out--very important for transporting a long distance. In fact, carry-out is the only option at Pitmasters Back Alley. There is no dining on-site."
