Wow oh wow! I discovered this hidden gem tucked in the Hillendale Shopping center and trust me appearances can be deceiving. Upon entry, you're welcomed into a quaint Indian eatery with AUTHENTIC Indian food! We went on a Sunday night and there was only one other table - I couldn't believe that this place wasn't packed! Everything about the food was dynamite. The garlic naan was melt in your mouth and the two chicken entrees we tried were awesome. Towson is really lacking when it comes to Indian food options and you can definitely get your fix here! I encourage you to try it out. They even host karaoke in the back near where they are showing Bollywood movies-cute!

This place is a hidden gem in the area. The shopping center may look a little sketchy, but don't let that scare you. We've ordered carry out from this restaurant a few times and it's been good. My husband and I recently went for lunch and it was even more delicious. We ordered off the lunch menu, our waitress recommended the chicken momo as an app (there is also a lamb and a veggie one)...delish! Both of our meals were a great lunch portion and everything was very fresh! Will be back!

Tried jhol momo for the first time. Fell in love with it instantly. It had me at momo, but the delicious gravy it came with made it more addictive. Their goat curry was delicious too! Meat was perfectly cooked and the gravy was delectable. Cannot wait to try more from their menu.

So I really loved this place. Super great taste and atmosphere and prices. The pakoras were great!! The mint chutney and tamarind sauce worked so well together. I'm a big fan of good taste so these were awesome. My only criticism is that the Samoa's could have been left in the oil for longer as they were a bit soft and raw doughy in one spot. Still- the filling was amazing and the crust was as well. My best friend ate the lamb saag and and naan and said it was super goood!

Excellent food! Super special restaurant. This is a hidden gem in the Hillendale Plaza area, close to Planet Fitness. Food has so much flavor that I just didn't want to stop eating. You'll love it.We called for reservations for about 10 of us for Sunday brunch. When we ended up with about 16, the owners quickly accommodated & worked even harder. We weren't the only party there. The food was cooked fresh for each plate & every single friend at our table complimented their food. We all shared & there wasn't one that I didn't like. My favorite is the Butter Chicken (the sauce is to die for! Yum!) and the honey Nan. My husband loved one of the soups, my sister had the fish with the sauce from the Butter Chicken, others had kabobs & many others. You can specify the level of spice you prefer. I understand some people leave negative reviews because they didn't get it the way they wanted. Too many folk don't leave reviews for what they got right. I have had the pleasure of having dined on their food twice now. To offset what another said the portions are big. The price is fair. And the flavors are wonderful. Be careful ordering the food spice level too high as even level one is quite spicy. I will be dining here again and again and good news for Vegans, they will adjust their recipes and accommodate you like they did for my vegan family.

I had the most disgusting experience with the food that I ordered yesterday.I ordered Chicken Tikka and Paneer chilly dry and both the food items were horrible.Chicken Tikka was stale and tasted like I have been served an eraser to eat..it was chewy,rubbery and hard.Paneer chilly had some weird smell and was stale too..I am amazed to see the guts of these restaurant people to serve such horrible food to people and expect them to stay healthy.I have fallen sick and have an upset stomach.Shame on you guys.DO NOT EAT THE FOOD HERE!

My wife and I have celebrated our Valentine's Day for the past few years with takeout from Butter Chicken Restaurant. We ordered Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Jalfrezi and two orders of Naan, in addition to 2 orders of Vegetable Samosas and two Orders of Chicken Momo's. They were running a special - if you buy two entrees the third entree is free, so we weren't charged for the Vegetable Jalfrezi. The Vindaloo was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Tikka Masala was very good, and we also enjoyed the vegetable jalfrezi. When we got home an unpacked the food, we were pleasantly surprised that they also included a free desert - Gulab Jamun. We shared the entrees so we could enjoy the variety and ended up getting another dinner to enjoy with our "special needs" son who visits on the weekend. Thanks for making our Valentine's Day extra special. Some day we need to eat in and branch out and try something different dishes in your restaurant. The location is nice and clean and the people working there couldn't be more helpful and friendly.I highly recommend Butter Chicken Restaurant.
