So far so good .....no complaints new menu not that I knew anything about the old one good parking opens at 11 just in time for lunch ....Let's talk about the steak sub tho AMAZINGI have to return after work for drinks but here we go for now

The BP can be a great place to relax on a Sunday afternoon but having not been there in over a year, we thought we'd go for the crab soup and a crab cake sandwich. I can report on the soup because the server never brought it. After we ordered drinks, the waitress almost returned to take our order but as she approached, she realized she did not have our drinks. She soon returned and took our orders. These were EASY orders---no special requests. She disappeared from the patio area for extended periods and once when she returned, she took a drink order from the table next to us. They had arrived after we placed our food order. She chatted with the pleasant folks at that table for a lengthy amount of time. I noticed this because I could see every other table and she was the only server. Eventually, the cook came out to the floor to let her know she had food waiting to be served. She said OK but didn't budge from her conversation. The cook turned around before entering the kitchen and noticed she had not made any move to retrieve food. She then returned with our sandwiches and with the food for the table next to us. She never mentioned our soup and we didn't either because it had already been TOO LONG. We didn't have any napkins or utensils; I retrieved some paper towels from behind the outdoor grill set up. The man at the table next to us had done a similar thing by going to another table of guests and asked if he could have their paper towels. The crab cakes were satisfactory but nothing special. After we finished our sandwiches and had not seen the server in a while, I approached the cook and asked if I could pay him. I was pleased he took our money so we could get out before things got any worse.

I have never been to a place like this before- It was definitely lively and served really good crabs. I came to visit my family from maryland and they love coming here for crabs and music. Their outdoor area gets really really crowded but it definitely holds a different vibe than other places i've been to. The owner was very friendly and most people seemed to know each other. I give this place a high rating for the quality of crabs we had. They were amazing- but I would say they are one of the pricier crabs my family has ordered. Definitely worth a shot if you love crabs!

I took my mom and brother to get crabs here and was very satisfied. First of all, we had a really good price on crabs, only $40 a dozen. They were a mix of smalls, mediums, and larger, and I was happy that I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to enjoy crabs so in my opinion it's a great price. The service was excellent. The ladies who waited on us were very attentive. I like the outdoor seating and how you have the pavilion to eat under. This place wasn't fancy, a laid back hidden gem in Frederick. We went on a rainy day, and there were still a few people there. I would imagine on a nice day it would be packed. Plenty of seating and the tables are spread out enough. I should have taken a photo of the crabs, but I was so excited I started eating right away! If you are looking for crabs and are on a tight budget, I recommend Buckeystown Pub for the quality and fair pricing.

We were invited to watch our friends band, Special Delivery at the Buckeystown Pub on Saturday Aug 14, 2021. Hundreds were already there by 4 PM when the band began. Parking was difficult, but we discovered a second overflow parking area. There were no signs to direct folks there, you just have to know from experience. Luckily we had lawn chairs in the car since there was no where left to sit to watch the band. It was very crowded with a lot of people having fun! The one bartender at the Tiki bar serviced hundreds by herself, it was superhuman! We ordered a bucket of beer that puts 6 beers in a metal bucket filled with ice at a great price, wonderful! Ordering food was super difficult however. We walked to the indoor bar where there were three bartenders. That area was busy too but not nearly to the degree of the outside in the band area. However, there was a distinct difference of the indoor bartenders demeanor. They all seemed to be angry and the blonde woman was straight up rude to customers. We waited at the bar for someone to take our order for 20 minutes, finally the blond woman looked at us and we asked for crabcakes to which she replied "we don't have any" and she left without letting us make another food choice. When she returned she walked right by and ignored us while taking a new customers order. We waited 10 more minutes and no one would take our order. It seemed that local repeat customers were priority not sure. We had to leave to go get food somewhere else..This place could be a goldmine if they had 5 people like the woman at Tiki bar. This business could really use its own Bar Rescue episode with Jon Taffer.

Great crabs , sweet, heavy, and fresh !!! Can't beat that price $40/person all you can eat crabs BOGO half price .I like to eat crabs with butter didn't like their butter ,if you don't care about butter this is a great place for crabs.

We have been a frequent flier to the Buckeystown Pub for years. Our last visit was likely our last until the new owners take over. Our waitress was WONDERFUL but the folks who work there always are. The crabs were "okay" but just so. The piece de resistance was our crab cake. I have lived in Maryland for nearly 60 years and I have never had a crab cake like the crab cake they served us for $20 that evening. IT WAS HORRIBLE, dry, filled with cake but very little crab. We didn't even finish it. The irony is that Cameron's Seafood is just a few miles up the road, the Buckeystown Pub could easily cut a deal with them and buy their smaller crabcakes, serve them for $20 or $25 and people would be lining up for them.

Food is good, but bring plenty of cash. If you want to start a tab, they demand to hold your credit card, or you pay for each order separately. I will not let strangers hold my credit card. They claim there were too many walk offs. Security cameras would be in better order.

A true gem. Pub food but many items are homemade. Seafood is always fresh. Best place for crabs! Large outdoor area with live music all summer. The wait staff is wonderful and very knowledgable.

Waitress ignored us for first 5minutes. She was very rude, talked to us when her back was turned. Finally she threw the check at us. I wouldn't go back if it was the last bar/restaurant/crab shack in Maryland. Michelle you may be a nice person but be more friendly to your customers
