Bonheur Patisserie and Deli

This small Plaza is tucked a bit behind the main road, and it's easy to miss. I wandered into it to get gas, and saw the patisserie sign. So, I had to check it out. The inside is large, spacious, with lots of seating and the traditional display cases. Half of them are given over to cakes and such, while the remainder are for pastries and cookies. They don't have doughnuts, disappointingly, probably because of the dunkin next door. I wound up getting an apple turnover. The single employee was friendly and helpful. The turnover itself was huge, flakey, and really good. I grabbed a canoli and a piece of cake for later.

I wish I could've taken a picture of the food but I took a bite and then inhaled the rest. Sorry guys. The Mango cheesecake and tres leches were delicious. The Mango cheesecake in particular looks like it's going to be overtly sweet or dense and then surprises you with a balanced sweetness and airiness. Absolutely loved it. There are many options of desserts and breads to select from and even though I came late in the afternoon, they were just placing fresh desserts in the display case. The service was good too and they didn't hassle me, answered my questions and rang me up quickly.

The sandwiches here are really large and delicious! Prompt and friendly service. Will definitely return.

Great and fast service Not a fan of the Coleslaw. My order of two pastrami sandwiches with a side of coleslaw side of fries was placed over the phone. When I walked inside I was immediately taking aback at how many options there were within the bakery. I selected a cinnamon roll, apricot danish and turtle cheesecake with 2 beverages. I recommend and I look forward to visiting this area of Maryland again to patron the store

Owned and operated by someone from Europe who knows what he is doing, Niko makes everyone welcome and makes some of the best desserts and pastries you will ever have. He catered our wedding, and weeks after the event, everyone was still talking about the food. definitely recommend and encourage you to go and try it out. you can get a dessert, a handmade sandwich-made sandwich, an espresso and so much more, all of it amazing.

I got a strawberry shortcake because it said it was a bestseller, and I was disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either and it was stale. Maybe it's because I went at 7pm and it tastes better earlier in the day? They had a great variety though, so maybe we got the wrong one.

**Looks, left & right... scratches neck like an addict** Hey! Got any more of those perfectly baked buttery croissants?! Ya'll Yaaaaaaaaaaaa'llll... hear me when I say: This is it. These croissants will have you wake up in the middle of the night and contemplate a B&E. Yes, a bacon & egg but I was referring to breaking & entering. The baker does NOT over bake. The crust is medium, yes still flaky and the inside..... Dear Lord in heaven... the inside is so chewy. I don't know the reason for life but these croissants will make your living so much greater. Ok now that that's out of the way. Staff is always super friendly, eye contact... I feel like I'm in New Jersey. I would say New York but no one is yelling orders. Food is fresh and high quality. I get the croissant chicken salad sandwich with soup of the day. It hits the spot every time. I will often treat myself to a danish. Yes, they are $5... highway robbery, right?! But Listen, listen, listen Linda.... It makes sense once you eat it. The $5 makes sense. Just shuddup and pay. Today I went in craving chocolate but not wanting dark chocolate. The owner listened to my high pitched PMS cries for chocolate and presented me with the tuxedo cake. BABY! Baby... hear me when I say. That cake made up for every mistake I made in life. That cake told me I was beautiful and that I look pretty in dresses. That cake gave me a hug and told me I did my best. That cake said, I'll play with you, you don't need friends like that anyway! I don't agree with eating your feelings but that cake is like ocean sunshine on a suburban sunshine day. I might tell you a joke, but I'll never tell you a lie... hear when I say... this place is the bees knees. So why aren't you in en route yet? Get in your car. No, really.. get in. Go now!

When you're charging $8.00 for a slice of cheesecake it shouldn't be STALE! Carrot cake cheesecake was stale and like a brick. Baklava cheesecake was not hard, but definitely not fresh. 2 small cannolis were decent. Almost $30 in disappointment. Never again. Not to mention the display cases, front door and windows are so filthy and smudged. You can buy a lot of windex and paper towels for what I paid in horrible desserts today and at least clean the place up.

Got the chocolate mousse cake. Tasted and felt starchy and dry. Was not refrigerated. I don't know what's in this but it is not mousse. The chocolate shell on the outside felt slimey and disintegrated in my mouth. The base layer was stale and fell apart. I can't imagine the cherry is fresh but I didn't dare to try it. Incredibly disappointing. One single person working the counter.

This place is amazing! Friends introduced me to their favorite deli and bakery, and I've been a regular ever since. The ambience reminds me so much of the patisseries in Europe. Ample seating in an immaculate environment. I have never had baked goods so delicious. And their sandwiches are to die for! Say hi to the friendly owner for me when you visit.
