We were in Annapolis for a long weekend and stopped by Boatyard on a Sunday night. We were seated immediately and greeted by a wonderful server. Initially, I was enthralled by all of the decor. There's something to look at almost everywhere you turn, and you can tell that Boatyard is a special place to all who live in or visit Annapolis. We had fun reading about the restaurant's history online, too. They have a very extensive menu and we were very satisfied with our meals, especially the crab cake dinner. The nautical feel of this place makes me want to come back in the summertime!

Food: The seafood was the star of the show! The crab cake sandwiches and calamari were particularly delicious, and the lobster mac was rich and creamy. The classic American fare was a solid complement to the seafood dishes.Cost: The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.Environment: The atmosphere was typical of a casual American restaurant. It was clean and comfortable, the decorations here was so fun to look at!Service: The service was decent, with friendly and attentive staff.Uniqueness: While the seafood was good, the overall experience was fairly standard. It's a reliable choice for a good meal- would recommend to come visit at least once if you're looking for some American fare food with seafood spin and visiting the area.

Quick lunch with the team and the recommendation to come here kept coming up. Crab cake dinner comes with two plus mashed potatoes and veggies. The best crab cakes I've had in years. The restaurant is decorated with marlin and other fun stuff. Our server was warm and kept the food moving quickly. Drinks were getting refilled at a breakneck pace. Do not sleep on the crab appetizer. Highly recommend. My new favorite spot in Annapolis.

The food is always good. Got the Boss Burger for the 2nd time. So good. Huge!! Wife got fish tacos. Usually gets the grilled Mahi and went for the blackened. Said it has some kick but really good. The ambiance is second to none if you love the water. Fishing, boating, sailing, and waterfowl decor. Love it here and drive from S Jersey often to hit it up. Service is always great even when they are busy as all heck.

If you're looking to sample true Maryland style seafood, this is your spot. The Boatyard is an excellent seafood spot in downtown Annapolis and worth the trip. The place is decorated with an obviously nautical theme and the a perfectly fun place to have a great dinner. So the food. The food is excellent, we nearly all got seafood (kids got a mix) and there was only one mildly disappointing dish. The manicotti was a bit bland and my wife wasn't a huge fan. I loved my swordfish, despite it nearly drowning in sauce and being worried it'd be overpowered, it was actually very well cooked and tasty. The crab cakes are what make Maryland famous and you won't be disappointed if you get them. We've had a few of these over the past few days at a number of restaurants and these were the best. The crab and artichoke dip is probably the best appetizer you can get, even beat out the oysters. The parking lot is small and there is limited street parking, so be sure to plan ahead. Reservations are highly recommended as it gets busy here.

I had an amazing experience at Boatyard Bar & Grill with my dad. He had been before and told me they have the best crab cakes. I spent a lot of my time with my dad eating crabs so I trust this man's judgement on that. I'm so happy we came here because the food was incredible. We came for a late lunch and ate at the bar near the back. We were served pretty quickly. The bartender had great recommendations and got us our food quickly. We ordered a dozen of the two he recommended. I can't remember one of their names, but the others were called raspberry points. I really enjoyed our oysters. At one point, someone approached us with brand new on the market oysters (they didn't even have a name yet) and asked for our opinion. I was honored to be a part of this experience. It was fun to give feedback and suggestions on what to call them. They'll be the only restaurant in MD to have them, so I'm excited to return and see what they're called. We also split the crab cake entree with green beans and mashed potatoes. I'm drooling writing about those mashed potatoes, they were divine. And just like my dad had said, the crab cakes were incredible. I loved how lump the crab pieces were and how flavorful the whole thing was. I highly recommend ordering this. This place has a nautical vibe and tons of seating. I can't wait to come back.

Boatyard was the highlight of a day trip to Annapolis. The place has comforting vibes of a typical seafood restaurant/bar. It is quite spacious but the place got crowded, which is not surprising considering its popularity. The host/wait staff were all friendly and welcoming. Consistent with the restaurant's theme, we ordered all the crab dishes: the crab dip, crab cake and softshell crab sandwich. Everything was delicious and the ingredient quality was apparent. This is a must-visit if you are in the area!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Boatyard - we had an awesome table outside under the tent. The weather was perfect during the evening and it was great to be outdoors grabbing a great meal. We started with the oyster appetizer, which was good, but I'm not sure it was great. On our next visit, I would try a different appetizer, not that it was bad, but I'm wondering if something else is better. On the contrary, the crab cake dinner was awesome - and huge. Two of us split the meal (plus our app) and were stuffed. There was plenty of each section of the meal to feel like I had a balanced dinner with good flavor. I'm not confident that it's the world's best crab cake - but, it was pretty darn good. In their defense, I've not had many authentic Maryland crab cakes to be a good judge...maybe you can!

$380 for a 46 minute meal! But worth every penny! My family of 7 drove 5 hours from Raleigh to visit my son competing at The Naval Academy and we had to try this place. We walked in at 1036 on a Friday night with few people inside and the kitchen closing at 11. We hurried up and ordered and everything came out fast, but still hot and fresh! We ordered calamari, crab dip, buffalo wings, fish and chips, the crab cake meal, a crab cake sandwich, and a 3-tier tower. Everything was absolutely delicious! The crab dip and surprisingly the fries were some of the standouts. Of all of our food, the only one that I did not prefer was the sweet and sour mussels. The place is super cute, and relatively clean. While we were rushed to start and finish, the customer service was good, and the food is incredible. For the 6 of us our tab came just shy of $320, and I gave $60+ tip for a total of $380. We walked out at 1122. They certainly made out well on us tonight, but worth a one- time experience.

Great quality food, great portions, reasonable prices!! We were originally going to Carrol's Cafe, but they close at 8PM. Our table ordered the jumbo lump crab cake dinner, soy sauce steak, and the rockfish cioppino which was on the daily menu, as well as a side of sweet potato fries. The crab cakes are seriously no frills and very good (~$50). The rockfish filet was huge. The person who ordered the steak got it well done, so I have not much to say about it.The only thing is that I noticed the green beans were cooked to different doneness. The ones with the steak were a bit overcooked, but the ones with the crab cakes were crunchy. I much prefer the grilled asparagus that came with the rockfish
