Boardwalk Fries & Burgers

Friendly service, really good fries, m'eh burger.There's a place in Ocean City, MD, known for their fries--because that's all they do. I feel like Boardwalk Fries & Burgers started out that way (they've been around in MD for a while but I can't recall how long). They maybe should have stayed that way.The fries are good but not worth the trip. Fresh cut, skin on fries. Keep it this simple, which they did, and you can't go wrong.The burger, which was supposed to be 1/4 lb seemed on the small side. The pineapple slice (got the Hawaiian burger) was almost tasteless such that I had to check a couple times if I there was still any in my burger.Also, the restaurant was very cold! I happened not realize that the thermostat was on the wall in front of me and it was set to 66°. That's probably fine if you're popping in to pick up an order but not fine at all if you're eating there.

I have not eaten at a Boardwalk Fries in years. Today, since I was in the area, I decided to go with them for lunch. I pulled up their menu and got excited when I saw that they served what looked like fresh well done ground turkey patties.I ordered a Classic Burger with a turkey patty, no tomato, no pickle and an order of their Garlic Parmesan Fries (which is a meal in and of itself).The burger was just okay, although it is portrayed online as being fresh and "made-to-order" it still gave me a processed patty taste (removed one star), I added mayo and the fixings on the burger helped to carry it along.Now the fries were definitely fresh and the garlic aioli & Parmesan cheese ratios were PERFECT. It's definitely shareable, I knew I could not eat them all but still wanted to taste them. They of course would not be good re-heated They were really good, ran circles around the burger.The young man that took my order was pretty cool and answered all of my questions regarding patty size and if I needed one or two.I removed one star for the overall rating due to there not being any signage that I could visibly see that would have warmed me of the $2.50 convenience fee that was imposed because I used a card as oppose to cash....WHO WALKS WITH CASH IN 2024??? Well I know I typically do not but did have a $20 bill in my wallet that I had been looking to use it for over a month now. I was not informed before paying that there would be a "convenience fee" but saw it on my receipt while I waited and questioned what it was for. At the rate of how inflation is NOT going down fast enough, I think that should be displayed at the counter alerting customers and giving them an option.I would go back for the fries definitely and I'm now aware that I need to bring cash

Child #1 wanted burgers for his birthday and we decided to come here.We ordered some milkshakes to enjoy while we waited. When Child #2 spilled some of his, we looked all over for napkins, but there was no such station. When I asked the staff, they said they'd clean it up, but we wanted to wipe off messy hands too; apparently they keep them behind the counter - Boardwalk, why you bogarting all the napkins?The inside is clean and somewhat sterile - lots of tile. There are some TV screens playing stuff to watch while you wait.The food isn't bad. It's a fast food burger joint - you know what you're getting and there are many ways to customize your burger. Child #1 is vegetarian and got the black bean burger and, having tried it, it's pretty good! The fries are awesome, which is what I think is the highlight of the experience.

So in a failed attempt to relive one of my favorite childhood experiences I decided to have lunch at Boardwalk fries in the shopping center as the Walmart on Washington Blvd. Terrible idea now don't get me wrong my customer service was great the woman was very polite & nice but that besides the daily special prices were the only thing good about this trip. I got the Italian sausage with fries & a drink for $11.99. The Italian sausage was easily the worse I've ever tasted & the fries were very bland like it was cooked in no season. This was one I'll have to pass up on coming back here again!

We ordered for 5 people through Door Dash, and this place is up there in prices, so we spend a good amount of money. High price for low quality fast food.Hotdog - goodBurger - no seasoning, lacks taste, didn't put cheese paid extra forSalad - we excluded bacon, but it was put on it. Person ordered does not eat bacon Grilled Chicken Burger - they didn't put anything that was supposed to be on the sandwich. Literally just the chicken and bread. Not well seasonedGarlic Fries - no garlic or garlic taste, some not fresh parmeson with some flavor lacking mayo sauce. Less flavor than mayo; would recommend getting reg fries if you're getting friesChicken Strips - lack flavor, clearly frozen kind. $12.49 for 4... Very disappointing and expensive

Boardwalk fries & burger is a casual restaurant where you can get burgers, cheesesteaks and fries. I come here at least once a month. My favorite is the steak sub, I add provolone and cheddar cheese, grilled onions, pickles and peppers. It's so good and the roll that is served on is so soft. I pair my sub with the funnel cake fries. The funnel cake fries are a must! I Highly recommend. If you can order ahead do so, this place gets packed. Also, check out the daily specials.

On a business trip and needed a late night meal. This was a recommendation from Yelp reviews. Why did I think this turkey burger would taste good? It might have been more tasty if it wasn't coated and fried in beef grease. Gross.

Ordered for delivery. Most of the food was cold and the burger had mayonnaise slopped on it like it was a mayonnaise sandwich. If I ever eat from there again, it will definitely be in person. I was able to get a refund for the delivery order,

I've never had a burger here that I didn't like. But I've also never had a burger here that I've loved. Been here several times and it's always worth the trip especially if I'm in the mood for burger and fries. I do believe it's up there with Five Guys & Shakeshack. Maybe in 3rd place or tied with Shackshack. For me personally if the burgers had a tiny bit more seasoning, I'd probably love the place. Though it is still enjoyable.
