Blue Crab Cupcakes

Amazing desserts and cupcakes. The cinnamon rolls are delicious and worth the trip. The snickerdoodle bars are amazing as well.

I've heard so many rave reviews about Blue Crab Cupcakes, so I was excited to finally try them at a wedding where I had the chance to sample several flavors. Unfortunately, they were just so-so to me.The only flavor I really enjoyed was the lemon--it was bright, fresh, and definitely the standout. The chocolate cupcakes, on the other hand, were a bit dry and not worth the calories in my opinion.If you're looking for bougie cupcakes in Annapolis, this might be the spot for you, but for me, it just didn't live up to the hype. I can see why some people like it, but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit.

Bottom Line: Very tasty and lovely cupcakes among other sweet treats.Gosh, I don't know why I haven't Yelped Blue Crab Cupcakes before now. Whenever I need a dessert for a special occasion I head to Blue Crab Cupcakes. It is a small shop in a shopping center that is past its prime but the cupcakes always shine. As far as favorite cupcake flavors - I don't think you can go wrong. My husband is more into flavors with a chocolate base like the S'mores or Triple Chocolate. I prefer flavors with a vanilla base like Funfetti and Snickerdoodle. Blue Crab Cupcakes has the best vanilla cupcakes that I have ever had. Never in my life would I have thought a vanilla cupcake could be so sophisticated and absolutely delicious. Blue Crab Cupcakes offers regular flavors, seasonal flavors and even some gluten free cupcakes. I've also tried other desserts from Blue Crab Cupcakes like cookies and macarons and go figure they were also decadent and carefully prepared. The staff is always friendly and parking is plentiful. Located close to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Blue Crab Cupcakes is a perfectly fitting name but as someone who is Maryland bread and crab fed, I do wish their logo more authentically resembled Maryland's beloved callinectes sapidus.

Anytime and every time I have to cross bay bridge this place is a must stop.My first time having them was last month when I had to bring my baby girl to a follow up appointment for her pediatrician. She was only in Kent Island that week so we made the trip.I remembered seeing this place as we were going to Ocean City so it was a must to stop while I was out this way.Red Velvet- BOMBSnicker Doddle- BOMB BOMBKey Lime- DELICIOUS (according to hubby)Chocolate- LovelyAnd as of today the PEACH COBBLER cupcake was DEVINE.The icing to cake ratio is just right and the moist level is literally the best I ever had and tasted to date. Easily my top pick for cupcakes don't matter how far it is away!!!

I wanted to thank Blue Crab cupcakes for making my grandmother's 90th celebration! they were able to accommodate our request in a week notice. they provided beautiful tasty cupcakes and a cake for forty five people. They were delicious fresh and gorgeous... and I'll definitely consider using them in the future thank you!

Skip the Macarons!!!First off .... love, love, love the mini cupcakes!!! They do not disappoint!That being said do not waste your money on the macarons. Spent $60 on them and they were stale with some of them being so stale they were actually tough to bite into and very gummy to chew. Other local bakeries in Annapolis specialize in macarons and are well worth the price. These were not worth $2.50 a piece!!

Love the cupcakes Service is questionable .All depends who you get ..They are creative and very good!

From the strawberry shortcake to the peanut butter cheesecake, this place perfects it all. I visit a couple times a month!

Great and consistent. I've gotten my daughters birthday cakes from here the last few years and they are always so gorgeous and delicious.

I have to update!! Went back on December 30th, service was definitely better. They were polite and smiled and were very helpful this time! We bought 18 cupcakes plus a 12 pack of mini New Years cupcakes! A week later and these cupcakes still taste amazing and soft! We also went in the morning so it was not busy so there were plenty of cupcakes to choose from!
