CityGal gone Rural* new to the areaA neighbor recently recommended this bakery and raved about their almond croissants, so I had to give it a whirl! "They did not disappoint!" There was a warm line of people greeting us upon arrival but the wait was not bad. This bakery showcases fresh baked breads, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. We ordered the plain, chocolate, almond croissant, breakfast sandwich, brownie, chocolate chip cookie, annnd cinnamon roll. Generous portions, will go back for sure!

It's a food truck bakery that is amazing!!! Rotating menu, check FB to see upcoming weekend menus. They usually sell out, get there before 11 to make sure you get something good! All of it is good, so if they have anything, get it all!! They also have Vegan options that put me over the moon. They have a tofu breakfast sandwich. Marinated tofu, on avocado toast, with their own seasoning, just amazing!! Parking is in the Chevy's parking lot, and just hop in line. They also have coffee for sale, and it's delicious! Oh did I tell you how friendly they are? I would just go here for the friendly service! Serious!

Believe the hype! It's all true.Black Market Bakers is located in the Chevy's parking lot in Annapolis. Soon, they will have a brick-and-mortar store in the South River Colony shopping center in Edgewater. The truck opens at 7 am and runs to 11 am. There will be a line no matter what time you go - rain or shine. I get in line about 15-20 minutes before they open and there are usually 4-7 people in front of me. They post their menu with their staples and specials (the specials change every week) to their Facebook page on Friday afternoon. If there is a special offering that you're interested in, go early! Especially if they have the OG Cinnamon Buns. Those, and the special offerings, will sell out. The staff is always friendly and polite. I am always thanked for my business. I had a slight issue with an order one time (ordered two breakfast sandwiches and they accidentally left off egg on both) and when I told them about it the next week, they issued me a gift card to make up for it. One week, the first 20ish people in line were given complimentary french toast with syrup to eat while we waited. It was delicious!"But what about the food?" you're thinking - I'm getting to that! Their standard menu offers a breakfast sandwich (bacon or ham, fried egg or scrambled, cheese, on croissant or brioche toast), avocado toast, and toasted sourdough with seasonal preserves. Their staple pasty items are a butter croissant, Black Market bun, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and their weekly muffin or scone. 3 different breads are always offered (country, pecan cranberry raisin, sesame semolina) and their special bread of the week. There are also 8-10 specialty menu items, which changes every week. Coffee lovers, you are not forgotten. They proudly serve Rise Up coffee (16 oz hot coffee, 16 oz cold brew) and the option to add vanilla flavoring.The breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. I get uncured maple ham, scrambled egg, gruyere or American cheese (they have other cheeses as well) on their croissant. It's finger licking good. And trust me, you'll be licking your fingers because the croissant is so flaky. There's nothing more satisfying than biting into a breakfast sandwich and hearing the bread crunch and crackle with the bite. The sandwich is huge. They load that bad boy up, so you'll definitely be full for a while. My parents loved the OG cinnamon bun and coconut cinnamon bun. If you love lemon, the lemon pound cake is your go-to. It's lemony (to the point of puckering!) and very moist. My most recent favorite is the cherry almond danish.Are you hungry yet? Mouth drooling? Run, don't walk, to this food truck!

Such a great bakery! Get here early if you don't want to stand in line!! Service- super nice people. The vibes are really great. Passionfruit Cream Cruffin- the cream was AMAZING. You can really taste the passionfruit flavor. Blueberry-Lime Scone- super good. The lime taste is pretty strong but I love that. The scone itself was super moist. Chocolate Croissant- the croissant was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the outside. You can never go wrong with this one. I love their rotating menu and it gives me an incentive to keep coming back!!

I LOVE BLACK MARKET BAKERS. Everything single thing they have is AMAZING. Their prices are also unbeatable!! Can't say enough good things about this good truck. From muffins with banana cream and crumbles on top to giant oatmeal cream pies to lemon blueberry cake with lemon glaze to huge red velvet whoopie pies, this food truck's got it all. The only down side is they're so good, the line's often extremely long. If you get there at a busy time (7-8 am Saturday or Sunday morning), you should expect an hour or two wait...that being said, it's worth it

The best breakfast in Annapolis. I genuinely needed to reiterate that in a second review because it just keeps getting better.

Been back two more times, every weekend since the first. There is not a bite of disappointment. This weekend I had the milk and cookies cruffin. Cruffins have been my favorite each week. I also had a bite of a peanut butter and jelly danish. The thing that amazes me the most is that it's never dry. I don't think I've ever had such expertly made pastries in my life. The danish was crispy, but not dry. The flavors are always spot on. Last week I had a passion fruit baby cake that was so delicious. This is a must try place.

I can see some real baking talent! I tried the country loaf, breakfast sandwich (ham,bacon on brioche), apple cinnamon roll, chocolate croissant and a seasonal scone. Universally the negatives came from pre-baking and cold storage. Food trucks have the limitations. Eat what you buy Today! The bread kept well but most selections were beautiful but dry. Rise up coffee takes the on sight breakfast up a notch.

I wouldn't normally travel for a bakery but I made the journey from DC and it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.An amazing, rotating menu... it's always an adventure, but if you spy something you'd really like, get there early, because the secret is out.A great place to take family or a date.The bread goodness fed me for days.

If you are looking for a place that is warm, inviting, has amazing food and outstanding customer service. Look no future... I love starting my day out here, EVERYONE is smiling and so friendly. Its hard to find a place like this these days and their prices are great. There is a reason they have 5 STARS and their line is out the door most days. P.S. the coffee cake made my day ;)
