Kids and I enjoyed a feast of both Northern and Southern Indian food, the food was authentic, fresh, and pleasantly mild. The crispy Masala Dosa and Saag Paneer Dosa was on point (the Masala and Saag Paneer were served on the side). While the spinach Saag Paneer was tasty, the Masala paired a bit better with the dosa than the Saag. The Paneer Makhani hit the spot! It had a mild spicy kick and despite its name, it had a different curry than Daal Makhani and tasted similar to creamy tomato sauce Paneer Tikka. The Daal Makhani tastes like the daal my mom makes at home.It was really nice and appreciated that I could get a side portion of both the daal and the paneer makhani. It was a great way to try the dishes without committing to a large portion. The Garlic Naan was good and great for mopping up the curry, it just wasn't that bubbly and fluffy. The service was stellar and very accommodating with my rowdy young kids. Admittedly, we made a mess and the kids stuff another booth the lady was super nice and patient. While there are so many Indian restaurants around the corner, this was a stand-out for both Northern and Southern Indian food.

I'm going to bump it up since this was served in a cafeteria setting at my work; my office's cafeteria opened up a pop up for various local restaurants to come in and today it was Bethesda Curry Kitchen. I opted for the paneer w spinach, butter chicken, chickpeas and basmati rice lunch for $14. Was it the best curry I've had? Far from. But was it decent? Yes. I mean, everything was precooked to the location and warmed up to serve. The rice was well cooked. The butter chicken was a little overcooked with the cubes of breast meat. The spinach still had quite a few spice pods in the mixture that made for exciting bites! The chickpeas, unfortunately, lacked flavor and was more just spicy. Naan was totally forgettable. So overall, a 3 kicked up since it was precooked for who knows how long and would probably be better freshly made.

I enjoyed a delicious and peaceful dinner here...the wait for the food was long but worth it. This is a good place for a (very) leisurely meal with friends and family. The naan was very fresh and warm, the chicken biryani seasoned just right (ask for the raita to go along with this--it's very good). Seating is ok--not the most comfortable, but not bad. Parking isn't super easy--there are several garages nearby, though. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

I go there at least 20 times. My little girls adore them but you will enjoy ordering dishes at an non-peak time. They can have time to cook them better. Therefore! Don't go there when it is at peak time. Indian biryani dish is horrible. They didn't complete the cooking! Way too much ghee! Ah! I'll go back there bfore the rush hour begins.

Stopped by for some quick takeout at this Bethesda Indian restaurant on a balmy Saturday afternoon. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The food was just meh. I ordered lamb vindaloo which had a slight kick but not much flavor. The restaurant looked clean but smelled a bit musty.

Super disappointed with this place. I placed an order for pickup through DoorDash, which came through on the app as confirmed. I went to the spot for pickup on time to be told that they never got the order. The customer service was really lacking.

My first time in this establishment, and was delighted with the lunch special. Perfectly portioned, very tasty, and a real bargain to boot. Nice ambience as well ... linen tablecloths and napkins, and soft Indian music in the background. I look forward to my next visit.
