Not a bad driving range to stop out to hit some balls. Almost missed it not realizing the entrance was like a junkyard, but owners seem to be nice. And for those that want to have a few drinks, they do have a bar on the premises as well as signs against bringing in alcoholic beverages or they will be confiscated. You do have to hit off of mats though, although I prefer the actual ground. And it is almost as on top of others when hitting balls but overall, it works.

I guess its what it needs to be. Its a basic driving range, no bells and whistles. The sign was pretty big but i still passed it on the first pass and had to come back to it but parking is really simple. There is just a golf ball dispense machine and bays to hit from. Not sure how it could get bad reviews but there is nothing special about it.

Basic driving range in an industrial area of the city. The golf ball machine takes tokens, which you can only buy with $5 or $20 bills. $5 gets you a decent bucket!

Parking was easy, but the lack of supervision was noted immediately. The need to ask around and take a bucket from another group to get golf balls for driving range practice was not initially expected. However, the weather was warm and guests seemed to follow quickly after my initial attendance. I had a good time practicing and perfecting my gold swing skills. A few signs about how to proceed independently may be helpful to patrons in the future.

Not bad for Baltimore! Everything you could ask for in a disheveled backyard style. It has distance markers up to 200 yards, high netting reaches about 250; disheveled but elevated, overhang canopy hitting areas; and mediocre range balls (but it's all about your swing right?). When I arrived, the owner was cutting the grass with a regular, unprotected John Deere but motioned to the ball machine, to help myself and go at it (I guess he thinks I must be a subpar golfer if he feels safe out there unprotected, and he'd be right!). Anyways it was 5 bucks for about 60 balls and I had solid time swinging (and failing to hit the owner :))

Okay, so I'm going to say that they get the job done. They are a basic driving range and are located in the city so you don't have to drive to the 'burbs or join a private club. It's fine if you go in with very realistic expectations; beat-up balls, an awkward layout, no actual attendant. Bring $1 bills and expect to get your balls by putting your money into a token machine and then putting the tokens into the ball machine. And yes, if you can drive a ball 250+ yards you need to go all the way to the end of the covered range and hit from there. Otherwise, due to the aforementioned poor layout, you will drive your ball through the hole in the netted wall and get yelled at. If you want to keep paying only $5 for a bucket of balls, the dude that works (and possibly lives?) here needs to hang onto as many balls as possible. It serves its purpose and has been fun for my friend and I to practice at this summer.

This place is a ruby in the rough... I wouldn't say it's a diamond because it's merely a mediocre driving range. But what's not to love about a driving range hidden in downtown Baltimore? I mean.. you would drive right past this place if you didn't have an address. It isn't crowded, has up to 250 yards of green and golfing "personal space", which I truly appreciate, it has soda fountains, heated lamps for the off-season and lights at night. There is also a business dog that walks around, keeping an eye on the property while bathing it's dingo-self in the sunshine. You can get 5 tokens here for $20! That's a cheap price! Plus I don't think you will find many other driving ranges within the Baltimore City area that are as well maintained and/or offer relatively low prices as such.

Chay and Bayview Golf Center is a great place to go an hit balls! You get a lot of balls to hit for the price of one token and they have a fully loaded bar with anything you could want to drink. If the weather is bad they have indoor simulators for half the price of 5irons. The owner, Chay and his wife are extremely friendly and he even fixed my 4iron for me!My wife and I will definitely be making bay view golf center a regular routine of ours this spring/summer.
