Bangin’ Fish & Chicken

We were able to place an order over the phone and pay upon arrival.Pick up was seamless.They have some seating and BIG screen TV and the very informal dining area--- which was cool to see, but I would not be able to hang out because the smell of fried food was just so prominent. I was in and out in 5 minutes and smelled like fried chicken for the rest of the day.The western fries were really good! The only complaint is that they have entirely too many feathers left on some of their wings. Thats a deal breaker for me and there were several wings in a 40 piece order that I couldn't eat due to excessive feathers.

This place is situated on the busy Route 40 and has been a gas station and other restaurants before what it is today (Bangin').Is the food healthy? Absolutely not. But is it delicious? Yup. While the food is deep fried, it isn't overly greasy like some places, which I do appreciate.Love their combos - where you can pick and choose from a variety of chicken, fish and random items. We usually pick 2 or 3 things and the portion sizes are good for a family of 4 or 5. Price is fair for quantity and quality.Fish is fresh. Seasoning is good, though it can be on the salty side if the cook is heavy handed. Chicken wings are hit or miss - sometimes crispy and juicy, sometimes overcooked and dry. Love that they have fried chicken skin (yes, just the skin) as an option. My arteries are clogging up just thinking about them.We usually have a satisfyingly crispy cheat meal at this place and haven't been disappointed yet.

I'm rating this on the food alone because I didn't order or pick up my food. Someone else did. Me and my family decided to do the pick three deal. There's 4 of us (two littles and two adults). We got the chicken wings, chicken thighs, and whiting. I started laughing when I saw the pan the food came in. It was something I hadn't seen before, but you definitely get your money's worth. The bottom is filled with fries, and the other food is put on top. I had the whiting. It was fried perfectly and so flavorful! The fries were pretty good as well. It also came with a side of coleslaw. It was just okay to me. Overall, I definitely enjoyed it, and would go back for sure.

Catfish was torch. The best I ever had even though it was my first time eating catfish as a fillet. Not 1 bone. I ordered 1 piece of fish because while I was waiting for my food a couple next time me got it. The catfish was gorgeous. I kept looking at their fish. Prettiest fried fish I had ever seen. The couple told me it was their first time there too. The wings were great but small. At least they were real wings. Haha. They should change the name to Torch As Hell FISH N CHICKEN. Collards I would pass on. Mac n cheese was decent. I did not seem processed but homemade. Fries were great not salty or greasy. Hush puppies were good. Service was good and friendly. I went at 12 and they opened at 11a. The orders were coming in and going out. I will drive 52m to get again!!I almost forgot. The slushy was one of a kind. Really sweet but good.

Came here for some fish for lunch. This place had no one in the parking lot when we pulled up, but when we left, the parking lot was PACKED! The parking lot is not that small, but during lunchtime it is!We ordered the $29.99 deal which included your choice of 5 meat/seafood items with fries, coleslaw (a little container that is not NEARLY enough for the three people let alone one person. Bangin' Chicken, do better and make that a larger portion) and condiments such as ketchup, hot sauce, and cocktail sauce.The place has some tables for you to sit and eat if you wanted along with a super large TV. Bangin' Chicken also sells salads and dessert items such as cake slices.They also sell half and half (half lemonade and half iced tea), fruit punch, and a half and half slushy, which takes the drink to a new level!A pleasant lady at the counter took my order and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. The food was hot and still was when I got home.Food was good, not greasy and I had visited it before so it is consistent, which is good.All in all, a nice place to visit if you want a quick tasty lunch.

While driving on route 40 I noticed this place and I said one day I will check it out. Then a friend sai they have been to Bangin and said it was good. I said ok. One friday I got the order for the wife for chicken and fish. I said ok, let's start Bangin.I arrived before the Friday lunch hour. They have a large menu of selections and ways to serve your hunger. I just ordered the wings and lake trout. The server said it will be about 15 to 20 minutes. The place is an old gas station converted to a restaurant. Small but functional. They have all the usual amenities including a big screen tv that is not attached to the wall. Hey, it working. And then the crowd came. This place got busy quickly. This is a good sign for people like the food or the service or both. I got the order and took it home for my wife's judgement. The fish was cooked ok. Not too greasy. Nice aroma. No fishy taste. It was fresh. My wife said the same but found the fish overall average at best. Nothing banging for her to scream about. I agreed. Although, it was fresh that is just the minimum. The breading was also one note. The chicken was cooked good. Not greasy. Again we found the chicken just average. The breading was one note. Nothing to see here. Their is nothing here that would make me want to buy this again. Also the wings in my opinion were rather small. Kid size. Not normal wing size. I don't know where they got them from but the chickens must be small.Summary, Banging was not. It was average. I can say I mildly recommend this restaurant for freshness. Cheers

Great fried chicken!!! Tastes like home made fried chicken. Hush puppies are delicious . French fries and mac'n'cheese are great too. Food came hot and tasty. This is our new chicken place.Got it delivered through insta-cart.

I grew up in the south, and I loved to go to "fish camps," somewhat rustic seafood restaurants usually located near a river or lake. They served delicious fried (no doubt, unhealthy) fish platters that were delicious. Gradually, restaurants of this type began to locate in more urban areas, but the fare remained the same. When I saw the advertisements for this restaurant, I was hoping I had found one near me here in Maryland. I ordered a carryout dinner of 3-piece whiting fish, since that was a fish I really liked in my youth. Alas, it was far from what I remember. The fish was dry, tasteless, and somewhat tough instead of tender and flaky, as I expected. The fries that came with it were limp and not tasty. The best thing in my order was the garden salad I ordered as a side.To my real disappointment, this is not an urban fish camp. I won't be back

The food is good a little salty. It is the customer service that sucks. Ordered the food online. Picked it up. Have not had a problem with food not in bag. Go home missing 1 whole meal, chicken skins, and corn nuggets. Went back to either get food or refund. They were VERY rude. I told them what happened. He asked the cook and he said that it was in the bag. Of course he said that. They refused to fix the issue or give me the money back. After wasting 24.00 in not give food had to go buy from somewhere else. RUDE RUDE PEOPLE
