We came in around 11 am on a Saturday, and the lunch rush came pouring in right after us. Clearly a popular spot with other Latino people too, so you know it's authentic. We ordered 4 bean and cheese pupusas and 2 chicken tacos and it all came in under $20. These are hands down the best pupusas in the area! The filling to masa ratio was perfect- I was stuffed after eating just one. The chicken in the tacos was really tasty and the portion sizes are big. They had a great menu with a mix of Salvadoran classics and American breakfast foods, so I'll be sure to order more next time. Definitely stop in while out antique shopping in this area!

If I had just passed by the Bamboo Cafe I would never have stopped, thinking it was probably Asian food. I'm glad I discovered the reviews though because it definitely has some delicious Mexican/Peruvian food. It's small with just a few tables and and the ordering counter. There is a drink cooler with sodas and beer. Rich found a lager beer from Peru which he had to try and has really enjoyed it. The kitchen is partitioned off with clear Plexiglas so you can watch some of the cooking. Rich saw one of the cooks mixing the batter for the quesadillas before grilling. Talk about fresh! And I must say the chicken quesadillas and tacos were some of the best I've ever eaten. The tortillas were the star of the show. The chicken in them was good but just a little dry. We also had an order of BBQ wings which Rich thought were a little overcooked, but I really didn't notice. I love that you can just order as many quesadillas or tacos as you want without having to get a platter full of rice and beans. And I am craving those tacos with the salsa laced with cilantro (I'm one of those people who loves cilantro.) There is also a buffet behind the Plexiglas that is served by a staff person, but I'm not really sure how that works. The main reason I didn't give the Bamboo Cafe 5 stars is because we haven't figured out an easy way to order and pick up our food. On our first visit we went between breakfast and lunch service so it was quiet and we could wait for our food without getting in anyone's way. The second time we tried to pre-order by phone. Let's just say it was a dismal failure. Rich ended up going and waiting for our food in the cafe. In the meantime, while we try to figure this out, I will still crave one of those tacos and a quesadilla.

Sorta disappoint tried this place yesterday. I don't know where the pictures came from but nowhere near it. Lacking ingredients for sure. It's like online dating where they don't look like their pix from 10 years ago. Anyway wish this place the best was hoping to find good quesadilla place.

This place is such a good find!! It's a family owned cute store where they hand make their pupusas and cool everything on the spot of ordering - I don't mind waiting a bit if it's going to be deliciously freshly made. The prices are also amazing for everything being freshly made. Also, Rosa (owner) can accommodate as best as she can to things you may want modified on the menu. I don't eat meat and asked if she could make a veggie quesadilla instead and she was happy to comply(: great customer service and amazing food!

Food is fresh and made to order, so if you need it really fast, call in your order. Never had anything there I didn't like, and we eat there at least a couple times a week since work is around the corner. Prices are insanely low, we are tempted to tell Rosa she needs to raise her prices! If you haven't been there, try it , it will become one of your regular stops! Help support local small businesses!

It's a small quaint cafe. Serving Americans and hispanic foods. Since having homemade pupusas I haven't found a place that I love and this is it! Staff is nice and offers good customer service. Also has tacos, Philly, and quesadillas!
