I'm gonna keep this one simple since it is already a well known spot in Bel Air. Get a Lord Baltimore omelette with the shreddies and a cheesy tomato soup of the day. Thank me later!

Solid breakfast spot in BelAir and probably one of the oldest with tried and true food. There are several places to eat in town but Bagel Works always has a good assortment of bagels and quality offerings. Service is always good

I was introduced to Bagel Works via old coworkers who enjoyed breakfast bagels. When I finally went, I saw that they do have a bagel stand but also a fully functioning kitchen with two seating areas inside. Ty knew what they were doing and did it well! Went on a Sunday but they worked through the lines waiting for seating quickly and it was a chill wait for the to-go stuff. I got the lox bagel with extra cappers and red onions on an onion bagel, which I learned later that they called the New Yorker... so yeah, I didn't know it was mine until I saw the add one I had requested. The lox were nicely fresh and salty and the capers and onion added that bit of something and bike I was looking for! My partner had the cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. He said it was nicely toasted. We didn't get any of the baked good but we plan to in the future!! And I want to come back to have breakfast with friends at some point... of even lunch, since they do serve some interesting menu items! Looking forward to it!!

I want to give it 2.5 stars for average...but that's not an option. A "3" (above average) is a bit of a stretchIt's a semi-small ?local eatery hidden in a two-story "strip mall" in mid-bel Air. Parking is limited, and on a Saturday morning lots of in and out traffic and private parking for specific businesses could make finding a slot a nightmare. I got lucky and someone was pulling out as I was pulling in. Very very busy the morning I was there, seemed to be some confusion at the entry...some people trying to pay after having eaten, others tryin to order to-go, others not sure where to stand while deciding what to order, while others were standing while waiting to be seated. Quite chaotic, but everyone was polite with one another and when I first walked in and asked a few people what was what, I noticed the "please wait to be seated, sign on the far left of the front counter. And when I left, it didn't take long for me to pay and depart (but again, lots of people at the front and just not sure "who" was first, or why they were there) as people were polite and let others ?go ahead if we weren't sure who was where first Perhaps they should review the logistics for this area on busy days...maybe separate cash registers with signage of To-go? Or allow you to pay from the table?Very close quartered seating, as they have packed in the tables to maximize seated diners, there are dining rooms on both sides of the front counter, but I only saw one bathroom each (men/women). The bathroom was spacious inside, but still only one, and standing "out in front", waiting..you're almost standing over seated diners. (If there were ever more than one person waiting, you might be seated with the diners!) Don't expect ease of movement if you are in a walker or in a wheelchair...In the dining area to the left of the register it could seat nearly 40 or so (squeezed in)..I don't know what the "bathroom to patron" requirement is, if any. Nor how many could seat in the other dining room (I didn't even notice it till I was leaving : perhaps it's reserved for groups ? For I didn't see a "wait to be seated" sign for that room)It took a couple minutes for anyone to acknowledge that I was waiting to be seated, and the wait staff didn't have uniforms on so I wasn't quite sure who to catch attention.Once seated, waitstaff was polite, took my order quickly, and the food came out in a jiffy.. I ordered the veggie Benedict (egg hard) and it came with potato options..I got the regular potatoes vs shredded..added onions and peppers It looked gorgeous (pic). And exactly what I pictured: egg not runny, spinach seemed fresh, English muffin a perfect chewy textureBUT (and here's the rub): flavorless. The hollandaise sauce was a perfect BRIGHT yellow, the potatoes fried crispy on the outside but nicely done on the inside, with the onions and peppers perfectly mixed. BUT, tastelessSeemingly ZERO seasoning at all. Hate to be cruel but the sauce was like eating water. I added salt and pepper, and it soaked it up and made it disappear. I tried tiny mouthfuls, and also forkfuls. I tried dipping my finger and JUST try the sauce. But no configuration allowed me to taste anything. I'm not sure if it's a canned sauce and they serve as-is, or if it's home made in the kitchen and the chef thought he'd added seasoning but forgot, or what. But I have never had an eggs Benedict have zero nada no flavor before. Same w the potatoes: fortunately the onions and peppers helped, but no seasoning at all I guess this might be the desire for patrons who have concerns w salt for their health/diet... but IMO, if you can't have seasoning/salt you might should have to request the nuance, rather than "we all suffer"After pushing through the meal (because I was hungry and the food wasn't "bad", it was just bland), I realized I'd come to a bagel place and hadn't purchased a bagel...I felt obligedSo I re-reviewed the menu, ordered two bagels with two "smears" (variations of toppings). At $3.70ea (one bagel one topping) I sure hope they're good...I took them home to try later..The menu says they are made/baked there in house, and I assumed (based on the packing) the varied cream cheeses are also made in house. I'll have to give my review of the bagels another time..but I included their picture hereOverall: Very "diner" atmosphere, I had a direct view into the very busy kitchen. Food was quick, but bland. And you will easily listen to your "neighbor's" conversationI say it's average. I might try again, and order something different, if I happen to be in the area and hungry for breakfast, but I can't see myself going out my way to return.Support local, though..and give it a try. Since it was crowded, it must be a fav of many and maybe above average to others

I have come here a few times and I really enjoyed it. The closest thing to a NYC bagel. It is not 100% the same, but you can tell it's a fresh bagel if it's hard as a rock by the afternoon. So that is good in my book. They have so many different flavors of bagels and I really enjoy the vibe of the place. Fast pace, you're in and out if you're grabbing bagels. It was not terribly expensive for a bagel with cream cheese. Only $3.19 roughly. I have lived on other parts of the country where you could not walk in and grab a bagel so I appreciate this place so much. I will have to try their bacon, egg and cheese next to see if it's up to par. The only complaint I have is, my cream cheese on my bagel was warm, and I did not toast my bagel either. Maybe because it was early in the morning and they just made the cream cheese. I'm not quite sure, but I didn't like it warm. Also felt like they could have slapped a little more cream cheese on the bagel as well. Otherwise the service was great and I was happy.

If the parking lot is full, most people are here. It reminded me of a New York bagel spot with their options, names, and how busy it was. But there are even more food options which made it fun to explore. There is seating for smaller groups but they can put larger groups in the same area. It's homely and lively but also very comfortable. I got a raisin and cinnamon bagel this time but I want to try some of the other menu items and have it there to enjoy the environment.

My family enjoyed eating here when I was a kid and now that I moved back to town it was on the top of my list to revisit!! The space has doubled in size since the last time I visited which is great cause it makes the wait for a table go much faster. My group ordered a Denver omelette, a Greek omelette, and a Mediterranean chicken panini. All three were delicious and came out fresh and fast! There's a parking lot in the shopping center but even more parking across the street. We will definitely be back!!

Happened on Bagel Works because wait times at other breakfast places had a 40 minute wait. We were seated within minutes, greeted right away. Placed our order, and had our food, which was delicious, and were done before I even got the text our table was ready at another place. Very friendly atmosphere, quick and attentive service, and very tasty food!!
