Backfin Blues Bar & Grill

I have been here a few times and always very pleased with the food and service. Brunch is my favorite time but it's a very intimate place for a nice romantic dinner.

The food was not stellar but it was above average. Our server was very friendly, funny, attentive. We had a round table at the front of the restaurant, so we were able to watch the people passing by. If you have mobility issues, there is a very high step to get in and out of the front door. We watched one woman being lifted up to get in with her cane and I had a hard time getting down when I left. We had a 90 year old birthday gal with us and she had to be helped down by two people.

Great restaurant We have been coming here for years! Love the local feel of the place. Also enjoy when they change the menu up!

Absolutely excellent food, atmosphere and service. This will become a regular evening out for us. We previously had brunch here and now will enjoy it for both brunch and dinner. Our server Coral was attentive and provided outstanding service.

We were in town for a family event and found Backfin in Yelp. We were greeted warmly by Coral who was so much fun! Very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The cocktails were great. I had a blueberry lemonade margarita- yum! The burrata was delicious as were the deviled eggs. The onion soup was also delicious.I had the crab cake and really enjoyed it. My daughter had the filet and my mom had the jambalaya. The portions were large and the food was hot and presented nicely.It was a little loud but not unbearable, I loved the setting and the energy.We really enjoyed our evening!

Traveling from Chadds Ford Pa. We decided to try this place because the reviews sounded good. It didn't disappoint. Mimosas are varied and well priced. The food is delicious. We had the crab dip appetizer which was served in a crock,warm with Naan bread. Chicken sandwich was tasty and the waffle was so good. Service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed it very much. Five stars!

Recommended from the AirBNB we stayed at, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Our meals were some of the best food we have ever tasted, and our server was very sweet. For appetizers, we tried the deviled eggs with crab and bacon & they were to die for, and the crab dip had just the perfect amount of kick. My husband had the seafood pasta and I ordered the chef's pasta. I don't think we talked at all during our meal because we were too focused on how delicious it all was! We may have to visit again one day, even just to dine here. Thank you for an amazing meal!

This post is a little late but last weekend we went to Havre De Grace to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We drove from CT to visit this wonderful creole restaurant in town only to find out it had just closed down. Luckily their sister restaurant in Port Deposit was still open and saved the day for us. Nestled in a cute little town this gem of a restaurant offers amazing dishes served by an outstanding, friendly staff. The whole experience made our trip wonderful. We will be back.

Chef Bob is an amazing chef! The food is always delicious and the service is excellent!

Food was ok but expensive for the portions. Service was fine and the ambiance was fine. Would not go back again.
