Asian Express

The food was bland. I ordered orange chicken and garlic shrimp. The orange chicken didn't have any orange taste to it. The dish really didn't have any flavor! The dish came with battered chicken and a few pieces of broccoli covered with a bland sauce. The garlic shrimp dish, no garlic flavor at all! It comes with shrimp, celery, mushrooms and water chestnuts. I substituted the mushrooms and water chestnuts for broccoli, since I don't eat either. The lady told me the dish would have a spiciness to it. I couldn't taste the garlic or spice. I'm not sure how I would describe the taste. It wasn't spicy, sweet, garlicky, flavored with herbs, seasoned; it was just bland!This is the most tasteless Asian restaurants I been to. My son said the orange chicken at panda express is better than this.I was pleased with a portion of the service. They allowed me to substitute, which is a plus. I looked over at the menu and it said two free egg rolls or sodas with a purchase of $20. My order was $32. The lady didn't mention the freebies, but she honored it when I mentioned it. Oh, the egg rolls had flavor, but not what I like. You basically tasted the wrapper, not the filling.The establishment was clean. It had a few barstools and tables you can use. I viewed the set-up as, eat here only if you really need to. No one was eating in there when I went.

This place is Okkkkk. I don't know why when ordering online they ask you mild/medium/spicy if they never actually make it anything other than mild.Crispy beef? Not crispy.General Tso's? No spiceLo Mein? BlandHey if you want egg rolls they're pretty ok. But otherwise this is is a lower tier Chinese restaurant.

I ate their general tso chicken one day and then did not stop shitting myself for 4 days. I don't know if it was undercooked or what but i had been eating here for maybe 2-3 years before that. It takes one awful experience to never want to eat at a place again. Just a warning that they may or may not use OLD/EXPIRED CHICKEN.

Been coming here for years. Yummy food with a cold bottled soda. The lady at the counter has even memorized who i am according to my order (since it's specific).

Ok food. Just a typical strip mall Chinese food place. Nothing special. I am still looking for a good Chinese place.

I absolutely love it when you can get food from a place and no matter what day or time the food is always consistent! I recommend this place for sure. Best within a 5 mile radius!

Updating because it's almost five years since I gave this place 5 stars. We've probably eaten here monthly since then, all during the pandemic. I've never had a bad meal -- everything has been great. They stopped delivering, but we order online or on the phone, and one of us goes to pick up. They are lovely people (we've got one family member who has a special love for beansprouts in everything -- and they are very understanding) so ... it hurts my heart to see only 3.5 stars! If you are reading this review and wondering whether to try it -- go ahead, I am willing to bet you won't regret it. Singapore rice noodles every time. Better than fancy places in DC!

Our first time using these folks, and we thought they did a good job with our take out order (they do NOT deliver or have eat-in dining). The food was good, and they had a fairly large order prepped in under twenty minutes. We will use them again.

We go here all the time! It's good food, big portions, and good prices. And they're quick. We usually get chicken and beef teriyaki skewers, mu shu, Singapore rice noodles, eggrolls, spring rolls, and we've also had their lo mein, orange chicken, and beef and broccoli. I recommend it all.

This is a small carry out place that certainly met my expectations. The order was ready on time, meal was very good and reasonably priced. This was my first visit there and I wouldn't hesitate to order from the Asian Express again.
