I was disappointed with the deep dish (ordered with extra sauce) because the crust is about 3X thicker than a traditional crust, with the same amount of pizza layering on top as a traditional. 1) That's not what a deep dish pizza is, and 2) it's way too much bread. I was hoping for a traditional deep dish pizza, which typically has deep layers of sauce and toppings, rather than simply a crust that's 3X thicker than normal. The crest is thick and pillowy.That said, this place has some following, so I can understand if this recipe is something they're married to.

I've eaten a lot of Pizza over the last 30 years. Perhaps not as much in the 30 years before that. I come from NY and love NY pizza. But Armabds, and especially their deep-dish pizza helped make the transition to this area nice, tasty and smooth!Armands is the best around,

Tasty Pizza, Timely Delivery!I ordered pizza delivery 4/25/24 via UberEats.The restaurant staff delivered the pizza.Order: Large-Thin Crust Pizza (sausage, pepperoni, onions & extra cheese) & (2) Pepsi colas.Pizza arrived around 40-45 minutes, warm & the colas cold. Delicious fresh ingredients. Not enough onions on the pizza for my taste. My only complaint. The delivery driver courteous/professional. See Photo.

Childhood favorite pizza place. Their deep dish is the best, but they have other Italian menu items too. There is dine-in service in addition to carry out. They no longer have their lunch or dinner buffet which is sad. Highly recommend if you're on Rockville Pike and want some good pizza!

Armand's is the home of deep dish in the DMV. They offer dine-in with beer specials and pizza by the slice, carry out, and delivery. I'm a big fan of their Detroit style pizza, which always comes out amazing with a cheesy crust!

The last Armand's is still standing and serving it up on the 355.I always loved Armand's, best deep dish in the area. I used to frequent the Tenley and Silver Spring shops, but if I need to hike to Rockville for Armand's, I'll do it. The pizza crust is deep, thick and soft, but not greasy. The cheese and sauce work perfectly for a filling slice. The salads are crisp and fresh. So I keep going back, because it's thaaat good. Give it a try!

We came here for a quick bite to eat yesterday before getting ice cream I promise my girlfriend.The place was very clean and empty at first with only one or two other patrons, but then a family came in while we were waiting on our food.When you arrive you are greeted and seat yourself. Then our server Carlos came to our table and took first our drink orders, then gave us a few minutes to look at the menu and decide what we wanted to order. He returned a little while later with our drinks and then took our food order. They also have TVs where you can watch sports or cartoons for the kids like SpongeBob. Our food arrived piping hot as we had to wait for it to cool down some. In the pictures you see the cheese so hot/fresh it's sliding down the side in the pictures but this means it's fresh!Overall, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our quick trip here and had nothing but a positive experience with the food and service we received from Carlos.

I really love a good Chicago deep dish pizza. Alas, Armand's was a very mediocre pizza and not really a good representation of a Chicago deep dish.A good Chicago deep dish is tall on the edges but not a super thick crust; most of the "pie" is filled with cheese, sauce and toppings. Armand's pizza is mostly crust. If you look at the cross section of a slice, it is almost completely crust with a very narrow layer of not-particularly-robust sauce and cheese. The sausage they used is very middle of the road. I kind of liked the spinach/garlic mozzarella blend as an interestingly savory flavor profile, but that's about all I could actually taste of the pizza. Since I like to avoid loading up on bread, after the first slice I just scraped the toppings off, but that didn't leave much to eat and I think this is the first time I ever left a Chicago deep dish place still hungry. I told my husband he could have all the pizza leftovers, which are words I never thought I would utter.We also had a small Caesar to share (and it was indeed very small). The salad itself was fine, but I wasn't super keen on the dressing. I am pretty sure it was storebought. I had high hopes, but since it's not a neighborhood place for me, and it's just ok, I don't think we'll return. If you like a very bready pizza and don't like a robust sauce, it might be more your thing than mine.
