Ann's Dari Creme

We don't live near Ann's Dari Creme, but we make it a point to come here every few months. It's easy to find on the west side of MD-1 at a traffic light. Open every day from mid-morning to evening. There's plenty of parking, mostly on the side and in the back, with several benches to eat at on a nice day. There's a short counter inside with maybe 8 stools. Most people get their food to go, but we usually eat inside just to enjoy the bustling cooks and staff. It's a genuine old-school hot-dog, fries, and shake stand. There's more on the menu, but we always get the basics every time! Good-old regular dogs with house-made chili on soft fresh buns. Generous hot crispy fries. Thick sweet genuine milkshakes in simple flavors. This visit was Oct 2024, so we're about due for another visit!

I recently visited Ann's Dari Creme because I was excited to try Maryland's famous foot-long hotdog. The advertisement specifically promotes this as the draw, making it clear that the experience is all about seeing and eating a full foot-long hotdog. However, when I received mine, it was cut in half and wrapped separately, which completely missed the mark on what was promised.When I mentioned this, I was told that they've been doing it this way for 73 years and that it's "clear" the hotdog needs to be cut to fit the bag. While I understand they have a long history, it feels misleading when the ad is focused on the novelty of a foot-long, and what I received didn't match that experience.Unfortunately, I felt dismissed as a customer, and I won't be returning. I hope they reconsider how they present their food in the future, especially when targeting tourists and first-time visitors expecting the full foot-long experience.

I've heard some great things about this hidden gem. It's a small spot packed with love. Everyone is friendly easy going. This place gets packed and the line will be out the door. Got a footlong fries w/ a half n half (tea & lemonade)Sweets, got to go for the orange cream milkshake. This milkshake will bring back childhood memories and if you're young, it'll make memories! The hotdogs were on point!!My new favorite spot when on this side of town.

Love this place. A must try. Mom and pop place of business been around for many years

We passed this place for years and so my Husband wanted to try them today. It's very tight inside with only maybe 5 stalls at the counter. We ordered a Footlong Chili Hot Dog, Chili Cheese Fries and a Banana Milkshake. The Hot Dog was so small it was about the size of my finger around, we didn't realize you can add 2 or 3 Hot Dogs to your Roll, the Bread swallowed up the Hot Dog. The Chili Cheese fries and Banana Milkshake were good. The Milkshake was thick, creamy and tasty. Don't know if we will be returning anytime soon. But the Staff of 3 Ladies were nice.

Cheeseburger SandwichThey should really be ashamed of themselves for the size and thickness of the hamburger patty. The full ketchup packet was thicker than the hamburger patty. Positives: the bread was soft and appeared to be a fresh bakery roll, which was nice. The toppings were good. Milkshake A hood balance of thickness and good amount of chocolate. The shake was the better part of my order. French friesCrispy and salted well. Not my cup of tea, maybe it's yours

Lunch at Ann's is always a treat. Everything prepared to order and hot off the griddle. I've been coming here over 50 years now. It hasn't changed except for finally moving to a computer for entering your order. This is definitely comfort food at its best. Always worth a visit if you're within 20 miles.

We've been going here on and off for over 40 years and unfortunately it's just not what it used to be. The quality of the food was very subpar compared to what we were served years ago. The hot dogs were minuscule on a very cheap and dry roll. Fries were ok and the ice cream treats and shakes are very good but a little overpriced . The service area is way too small and awkward. Not good when you have young children with you. The pandemic and COVID-flation definitely had a negative impact on this place.

Best Hot Dogs on the western shore. Yes, the waits can be long, but they are totally worth it, because the people behind the counter work fast and efficiently Their milk shakes are Great!!!
