Ampersea

I have not been to visit in a few years and as soon as Joey the manager greeted me at the door I instantly missed it. As I waited for him to seat the guest in front of me, I had the beautiful company of the lovely floral arrangement at the entry way of the restaurant. The plants were so gorgeous. Joey was very warm, and we even shared a few jokes as he walked me to my seat. Oscar created one thee BEST lemon drops i've had in a while (it's a margarita once tequila touches it, right? lol) Nonetheless, I could've kept going if I didn't another activity to do. I did get a tad hungry so I started with a half dozen of Oysters. They were perfect w/ the accompaniment of the warm crackers, and all of the fixings they are dressed with. I also had to see if the mussels were still the way I remembered, and they were so good. I had to ask for another baguette and a spoon to finish the broth. As the spring changes, I know the menu will as well, but I will never go this long without Ampersea again!

Yummy! First time visiting this place! Never knew it was even over there! The decor was beautiful and the place was giving Winter Solstice. Absolutely beautiful! The food was very yummy! I ordered the short rib wrap which was so very tender! Very delicious flavor. It came with French fries that included a sprinkle of Parmesan. My 2 friends ordered the salmon wrap and the short ribs and eggs. Both of them enjoyed their meals! Our waitress was very friendly! Despite a small issue with their computer system crashing and incorrectly charging our cards at the end of the meal, she came over and explained that she voided out the additional charges, provided the receipt for documentation, and then gave us her manager's name to call and follow up with if we have any issues or concerns. She even provided us with her menu recommendations and personal favorites.

I hope I came in on the wrong night, because I was there for around two or three hours, having a leisurely meal . . . and only two other tables came in during that time. Pretty sure it was because there was a Baltimore-Philadelphia game mixed with the cold weather and the location of the restaurant.This restaurant has great view of the harbor. Service is phenomenal. Very attentive and laid back. I started with the crab pretzel, which I had no idea would be HUGE. The crab was delectable, the cheese was perfectly melted, super gooey, and the cream cheese dip was tangy. I loved this! It was absolutely delectable and indulgent.The Brussels sprouts with bacon was perfectly flavored and had that great savory bacon taste.They also offer hot honey wings, shrimp deviled eggs, ceviche. I had the crab cake . . . Again, I don't think I'm a crab person overall, but it was moist, meaty, large, and pretty darn good, and this is coming from someone who thinks "meh." The server told me it was one of his favorite things.Other entrees: market steak, salmon, mushroom risotto. Handhelds such as lobster rolls, burgers, mushroom wraps.I had a multitude of drinks. All very different. And you can ask for drinks off the menu. The staff were very accommodating. I enjoyed most of them.Was empty when I went . . . hope it was because of the game and restaurant locale, but I loved this spot. Would 100000 percent go again.

Ampersea is a place that I haven't been In a while so I was pleasantly pleased when invited by some friends to join. They were perfect as I had just finished running and starving. I was greeted by super friendly folks that didn't give me flack about my running attire. Much appreciated. I finally settled on the tacos and had a great time catching up with my friends in the short time they took to come out. The tacos and rice they came with were tasty. My only drawback was that there was a hard shell taco inside of the soft taco. Unnecessary fried carbs in my opinion but easily able to be removed. I'm sure I could order them without them. The rice was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. Best part of the dish was the guacamole. I could have drank it, it was so good. The green tea shots were perfection and the service was good. I would go back for sure. Nice chill spot to hang and grab a bite.

My daughter celebrated her 27th bday here and it was an amazing experience. I met an amazing host I believe his name was Joey AWESOMEThe food was delicious, the service was top tier, drinks ON POINT, and the ambience was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be back

Everything was amazing! I went for my birthday dinner, and I was not disappointed. I really like how they decorated in December for the holiday. It just adds to the enjoyment. I highly recommend any of the mocktails. They were amazing. The hook and line entrée is outstanding.

With this hot summer upon us, it's nothing like being near the water. Ampetsea provides the water element that allowed relaxation while having a good meal. Located at Fells Point Maryland this restaurant was a great find. Our waiter Omar was wonderful! Attentive and accommodating.the crab dip, Ambersea burger and the seafood club was delish!! Drinks on point. Would definitely recommend so if in the area try them out.!!

We dropped in with no reservation on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately. Service was a bit slow to bring out the drinks but it picked up after. We tried the shrimp deviled eggs (2/5), octopus (3/5), jerk swordfish (4/5) because it was perfectly cooked, and the scallops (4/5). What really makes this place special is the location. The views from the outdoor patio right along the water were great and romantic.Also recommend taking the water taxi from downtown for a great day.

I used to love this place for brunch and dinner, but something has changed. I've been coming here steadily since the pandemic, and the views are solid and I heard proceeds benefit the Living Foundation. That said, I went recently for some more bites and drinks after starting happy hour elsewhere. The bottle of wine we got was actually lovely - a Malbec. The pour was very heavy and unrefined from the staff, which is fine but you expect more when you order a bottle. The food - the taste was solid but there was something off about the mouthfeel. The kale salad tasted like decorative kale. They hadn't massaged it enough. The Brussel sprouts were soft and the risotto was super mushy more soft than congee. It's a great place for a water view, but I was really disappointed in the food. But it's worth visiting, and I hope the next time I come back I can update my review because I swear a year ago I would've given four stars.

My fiancé and I came here to celebrate our engagement and had the most amazing service!! As soon as we walked in, Joey greeted us with a smile and a compliment! Also, the owner Kyle, was so hospitable and covered our drinks as a congratulations for our recent engagement! Such a great experience and would 100% go back simply for the staff!
