Everything went well! They know me by name now! I love their food!;I love their tasty fish! The people are friendly! Their crab cakes are really good. If you go into the Farmer's Market in New Castle, you will definitely find it! Yummy!!

It is what it is. Good seafood for a good price. Barbara and Jason have been there forever and know what they are doing. Take home Snow Crab legs are the best.

Hidden gem in a crappy market. My waitress was passionate about the crab meat and it did not disappoint. The oysters were ok though. They do have a variety of other seafood. Beer and wine selections are available as well.

service was good, friendly accommodating staff! im 50/50 with the food. we got steamed whole blue crabs with seasoning, unfortunately our crabs was gross (overcooked, bad odor *we eat crabs on a daily* and the seasoning was super bland), we also got fried whitening and crabs cakes with potato salad. the fish and crab cakes were good and so was the potato salad!

They are an institution in the New Castle Farmers Market and they consistently do seafood right! Love their selections and their seafood chowder is one of the best anywhere! The best seafood restaurant not at the beach! Ask for Barbara she is the best and nicest server and been there a long time. I will always go back to this great restaurant!!! PS they have Jumbo Blue Claw Crabs spiced with Old bay!!! $70/dz

I give 4 stars because of the way the bathroom was. It was a typical public women's bathroom, gross and disgusting, pee all over the toilet seat. The food however was great. Not overcooked, fresh, the clams were juicy. Great oysters. No wonder the place was slammed on Sunday.

Disappointed -Ordered large crabs there today to go.Picked them up -got home and they are not large.Called there-spoke to manager and he said they are mixed sizes from Louisiana and can't be helped.I said I bought large and he says if you are not happy bring them back.I wonder to do what with them? Don't charge for large if they are mixed and tell the customer after.Out $55 and my time.. Don't buy crabs until later in the season.I took the crabs back the day,they exchanged and I decided to get other items instead of refund.Business has been tough for restaurants.They have mufungo -yes mufiungo-a bit overcooked but good and of course signature hot seafood.Two sides,soup and salad and calamari.I have enough food for three days... Food was ok but nothing to rave about! Clam chowder was more like a thick potato soup fid not taste like clam for sure! Fried Shrimp was good! Crab cake sandwich was like a fish cake! Will not rush to go back !

It's sad what the pandemic has done to restaurants. If you like overpriced and overcooked seafood (especially the crab legs) then this is the place for you! Crablegs tasted dehydrated, like they belong on a cheap Chinese buffet. I'm seriously disappointed in the steamed combination. $35 down the drain. Not enough seafood. You'd be better off at red lobster.

Alex's Seafood is located at the farmer's market in New Castle Delaware. We walked into the market and took a left. Alex's is on the right side with the counter in the front. It is self seating once you pick up a menu - maybe 15 tables. The menu is like 10 pages very extensive. We wanted good seafood. Barbara was the best. She took our drink order and gave us time to review the menu. There was so much to choose from I couldn't decide. We decided on the fried cod fish with fries and the fried shrimp that came with hushpuppies and cole slaw. The plate was covered with fries, fish on top. The shrimp was fried to perfection. Everything was good. If you are in the market for crabs they quickly ran out as another table was attempting to order. There is a full bar with plenty of seating, good food, and good service. The atmosphere is very low keyed. We will definitely return to try other dishes and to see Barbara.
