Air Restaurant + Lounge

We went for a friends birthday brunch and it was just not that great. Making people wait in a line when they have a reservation is insane and made us late to get seated. What's the point of the reservation then I have no clueThe food itself was okay buffet style so you have to wait in a line sometimes to get that. Just too many lines. The music and drinks were good but for the price it's a place I would avoid as much as possible.

My perfect partner always has a plan for our weekends. Sunday's we Brunch and we go to places he picks because he is the true Maximus. He always knows the newest spots. Plus this is our thing, we are foodies! I remember AIR from back in the day, to see them try to do a brunch concept was cool.Here is my take, it's not set up for a brunch spot. It's too small. The food comes from the back so if you have a favorite of something you can't really get more of that food item. Service lacks and with a time limit, you're SOL if your server doesn't come to your table quickly. The waffle station and omelet station is in a corner and honestly if you have to wait in line, might as well place an order and not be crowded in a corner. Food is just okay. There wasn't one dish where I was salivating over. I would probably never come back. This place is not worth the price for the quality of food. My honey was annoyed by the noise. Overall, if you never try this, you're not missing out. Save your money.

I made a reservation for Air...wanted to treat cousin to a DC Brunch experience. We arrived and were seated, but didn't see a hostess for a while (maybe 8-10 mins). When we did see a hostess she explained (as the menu also said) that the brunch fee had a flat cost.You pay first, and then are served. We gave the hostess a card and within less than 5 seconds someone at the table said they they didn't like the "forceful" menu ....the food all would come on ONE plate and there was no choice. Also, we all agreed the music too loud in our area. We decided to leave...and thought there would be no problem since we hadn't even been served water at that point. I went to waitress and she said she had already changed the card and needed a manager to issue a refund. When manager came, they said Air had a "no refund" policy and they said it was also posted on the website.They offered us a vip room ....which looked like an empty storage closet with stuff. We said no. They offered us a gift card. I told them I was not pleased with this because we had not been in the space long enough, nor had we received any service to justify a fee of 55 bucks per person (x4). It's ridiculous and also feels illegal.

I came here for an after work event with my cousin in love excited to try a new lounge (as in a place I haven't been before) in DC. The ambiance was dim and they had a talented local artist singing some popular songs. The inside was a bit janky for my taste and could definitely use some upkeep. The service wasn't the best as multiple people from our party had complaints about wait time and food quality. I probably would not be back because aside from the live entertainment, it was not an enjoyable experience for me.

We went from NOLA bounce music straight to Jagged Edge Let's get married, to Kendric LamarThere was a live band performance that started @ 1030, the EU Go Go band. They were really good!Since we had 1 waitress, she said we couldn't order at the bar (which was directly in front of us). Took a long time to get her attention at times. Drinks were delivered way after they were ordered. My friend and I also ordered food. She got Chicken wings & fries, I got Lamb Chops entree.Took nearly 30 mins to get her fries after she got her chicken wingsI really thought the waitress forgot to put in my lamb chops. When I finally got her attention, I asked for the order to be canceled but she said they were already put in. Ended up having her box the meal when it finally arrived.$40 for lamb chop entree was NOT worth it.There is a service charge here. Gratuity was automatically added. Check your receipts - my friend ordered the Chicken & Wings on their menu for $16, when the bill came, her fries now said they were $6 (instead of $4 as listed online). She got that correctedBathrooms are gender neutral and allow for both Men & Women to use the individual stalls, but be aware you may be washing ur hands next to the opposite sex lol

This is an updated review. My experience this visit was much better. I went with friends for brunch this past Sunday and the atmosphere and vibe was on point. Our server was so nice and helpful, big difference from the first time. The server name was Sydney and she was so pleasant I give her 5 star for her service.This time we were able to stay at our table longer than the 2 hours. The food was good and we had 3 pitchers of mimosas. I ate the salmon, Mac and cheese and steak. I ordered another plate of just those items and my food came out fast.The outside is now set up with multiple tables for hookah, it was kinda overcrowded with those tables.The only complaint I have is the drink prices was not consistent. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita from downstairs at the bar while I was waiting for other guest and I was charged $16, after going upstairs to be seated, I went to that bar to order the same drink and she charged me $22 plus service fee and tax the drink was $29 which is really ridiculous. Never again.I do want to point out the hostess at the front desk to check you in, both ladies was very nice and accommodating. I also spoke to the manager and informed him how this visit was much better than the first time.They also have a camera lady who walk around taking pictures and will bring you the picture for purchase with a frame for $20, we purchased 5 pictures total and they came out great.

The venue is spacious and the music is great. They have live bands which adds to the experience. Adam's Morgan is a big challenge with parking so the area is not much accommodating. I want to extend some Grace but the service was extremely slow. I had to go to the bar a few times to find a server or to get service. I would recommend having multiple servers stop by tables during events that are big, like the night they had junk yard band. I would go again for the music but not for the food. The shrimp and grits was a little salty. I don't think it was made fresh for how quickly it came out. I would go back for brunch per recommendation. It was ok. I would go again for the live band.

Great environment for a group. Really good 90s and 2000s hip hop songs. They have a live dj going. Grab a table with a view! Food is not bad but not the best I've ever had. Highlights were the chicken wings, home fries and the waffles. We didn't try the omelette because we were all too lazy to get up and go get one lol. The omelette and the waffles are the only things you have to get yourself. All other food they bring to you if you ask. We made reservations for 2p on a Saturday. Service was fast and friendly. Great for groups! I'd recommend going at least once for the experience of a party brunch, and going with a fun big group. Paying is super easy since everyone pays the same price and you pay at the beginning, so you skip the dreaded big group paying debacle that I hate (and is the main reason I normally don't do big group meals out haha!) Try Air for brunch!

I was visiting friends in DC and they said we had to go there for brunch. This place did NOT disappoint. Plenty of food options, a fresh waffle bar, omelette bar, bottle less mimosas, live Dj that played great music. I had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely going back next trip up.

I was eager to celebrate Valentine's Day at AIR Restaurant and Lounge DC, hoping to enjoy great food, drinks, and music. Unfortunately, my experience on Friday, February 14, 2025, was one of the worst I've had. Upon arrival, I was directed to a table that had already been reserved, which caused tension with another party. As a result, the other couple, my companion and I were moved to a different table. We waited an unreasonable amount of time before being served.We had to order the three-course meal, which included a salad, entrée, dessert, and a glass of wine. Our entrées arrived without any utensils, and we had to request our salad. When it finally came, it was served without dressing. The waitress initially claimed we had dressing, but after realizing we didn't, I had to wait again for both the dressing and a second salad. I had intended to eat the salad before my entrée, but by the time I could, my lobster, mashed potatoes, and asparagus were cold.I ordered two entrées but only received one glass of wine. When I reminded the waitress, she brought me a second glass, but it was half the amount of the first one. Meanwhile, the other couple at the table had red wine and fuller glasses. Additionally, the other couple ordered wings, but were told they weren't available. Later, however, wings were being served at another table. I felt humiliated by the entire situation.What was more upsetting is the request to pay for the meal immediately after ordering. That night, I became very ill and spent the weekend feeling horrible. Given the disrespectful service I experienced, I cannot recommend this venue. The DJ and Allure band were the only highlights of the evening.
