Adams Taphouse and Grille Kent Island

Didn't get a good picture of the vegetable beef stew, but it was delicious. Tuesday night special was fried chicken. The green beans were seasoned with stewed tomatoes . Everything was delicious. Service was great.

Adams has declined to a terrible level. I agree with Jim W about the crab cake. It was awful, no crabmeat, all filler that tasted like flour, did not taste any Old Bay seasoning and dry as a bone. The chicken wings were extremely overcooked and not only dry but hard. The last time we got ribs they were burned and also very dry. They tried to cover up how bad they were with excessive BBQ sauce. Another restaurant gone to the dogs. Will not go there again.

Always good. The service is like your Mom taking care of you at the dinner table. Never a bad experience. It gets busy, so either call ahead to check the wait time or know it's worth the wait.

As you can see from my previous reviews, my favorite restaurant off of route 50 on Kent Island is Hemingway's. Hemingway's was closed for lunch on the day I was passing through, therefore, I had to relocate to an alternative nearby restaurant for lunch.This was our first time here for lunch. We stopped here, because this place was highly rated on Yelp. The restaurant is located about one block off of the main route 50. We were seated at a nice booth to the left of the entrance. The place is noted for their ribs, although we did not know that when we ordered our lunches. I started with their spicy margarita for $12. I ordered one of their daily blackboard specials, the chicken wings for $12.99. The wings were average at best. My total bill was $57 less gratuities. I rated this place average. I doubt we will return here again, if my favorite Hemingway's is open for business.

Adams Chicken Noodle Soup: I was very sick (not COVID) recently. Could not begin to eat any of the variety of soups, including chicken noodle, available in our home. Believe me I tried. All other food options were out of the question making me feel even more ill. Finally I asked my wife on Saturday to get some of Adams chicken noodle soup. It has always been great. And that worked. Down it went and good amounts of it. Thank you!

We stumbled onto this little treasure while shopping in the area. The restaurant was clean and bright and welcoming. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly and even the other patrons made you feel right at home. We'll be back, which is saying a lot, since it's nowhere near anywhere we usually go!

Always get your monies worth here and service is good at the bar. Lunch specials are a good value as you get a full serving with sides.Adult beverages are good and I don't drink beer but many people go for there variety. If you have any problems Wes is always there to make things right.

Food was delicious, our server Georgia was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good.

They used to make a very good crab cake here but the one I had this past Sunday was seriously terrible. No lumps of crab in fact it was hard to see crab pieces of any kind, just a lot of mushy filler, I know it's a bbq place but their crabcakes used to be some of the best on the island and now are just overpriced mush. Very disappointing, I almost sent it back. The only thing that saved this meal were the delicious mashed potatoes. Service was friendly as usual.

Nice local restaurant. Great ribs and chicken. I love the southwest chicken salad. Wonderful spicy dressing. One strange star is the chicken noodle soup. Odd for a BBQ place. Some of my friends get the soup and wonderful corn bread with cinnamon butter. A great lunch choice if you're not up for a big meal.
