Adam's Grille & Taphouse

I ordered a daily special Oysters Rockefeller, it sounded great and looked nice when it came out, but the oysters were lukewarm and raw under the spinach,I took one bite and wished I had spit it out but did swallow it. It was disgusting and as I sit here writing this review am still feeling ill thinking about it. I sent it back and was still on our bill. We didn't want to put the very nice waitress through any problems so we did pay.

Another evening at Adam's--meeting a small group of friends for supper. Service was S-L-O-W tonight. One friend and I arrived right at 5:30 and we put in our drink order. We would have given our food order too, but she did not ask if we wanted anything or come back. The other friends came in, and by 5:45 the table was full. The manager helped with table & chair setup, which was nice. We had to flag down the server to take our food order. I told the server (Sophie) that I needed to leave early, so I was just ordering a bowl of chili. The chili (really an appetizer) took 30 minutes to come out. When they brought out the other full orders, it came out last. I waved out the server down again at 6:18, gave her my credit card, and asked for the bill, saying I had to leave early. She disappeared again with my card. So at 6:25, I gathered up and went to the register. She was up front and had been carrying my bill around. So I wrote it out standing at the front counter. I hate to have to be so insistent just to get one easy item that should take 10 minutes max. Whew.

Pretty good sit down place, most items are ok, the sides are kind of lame. I've been going here as long as I remember. In terms of highlights:-tuna sandwich(very meaty, have had it a few times, never gotten food poisoning from it)-Buffalo wings(great Buffalo sauce, crispy, good dressings)-Gator wings(they've got a little bit of a kick, and are smoked to perfection) -Buffalo chicken sandwich(certainly not as crispy or sumptuous as your favorite fast food chain's version, but it's solid) -chips and dips(hot homemade tortilla chips)-cheeseburger(haven't had it in a while, but my dad likes it)-ribs(nice crust on them, I don't have them very often because I'm not a huge baby back fan, but they're good for what they are) -onion rings(always crispy)My biggest gripe is with the sides. Aside from the onion rings, the others are very average. Their fries, dinner rolls, applesauce and chicken tenders are most likely Sysco that aren't cooked enough. And I don't get the point of including things on your menu if they're not better than what you could get at a fast food place or the freezer section of the grocery store. Another issue is their tuna wasabi cream dish. The tuna is tasty, but they cover it in overly sweet sauce, and the wasabi doesn't have any kick at all, which would be nice. Apparently they make their own salad dressings, but the chefs salad looks like something you'd see at Applebees in 1992. I feel like there's potential to update some of this, and maybe remove or fix some items that aren't as good as they could be. If there weren't better bbq places nearby, like Chad's or Mission BBQ, I'd give Adam's 4 stars, Most importantly, BRING BACK THE ONION LOAF!!!!

We ate in for the first time today. For the last two years we've been ordering takeout in deference to the pandemic and health issues she have relied on their consistently well prepared food. Today we decided to eat in and enjoyed the the daily special of strip steak with pepper, mushroom, cream sauce. The day's vegetable was asparagus and it was prepared perfectly. He had the rice and beans and coleslaw as the sides. We both ate the whole thing! Their key lime pie, a favorite of ours, was boxed and came home with us. The restaurant is a homey bar/Grill popular with the local crowd and it gets really noisy when people are packed in on the weekends. The noise is a problem for us because we're over 70 but we had decided LINNER was called for on Father's Day and arrived about 3:15. The service was delightful and we had a leisurely delicious and relaxed meal.

The ribs from here are my standard for ALL ribs. I love their ribs. However, during the pandemic I ordered out. They way they pack their food leaves a lot to desire. They need to present the food to go better.

My wife and I ate dinner here on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. It was our first visit but not our last. Jill took great care of us. And our ribs & shrimp were delicious. Thank you for a lovely dining experience.

The food is consistently good and fresh at this Adam's location. The ribs never fail to please but the salads are also really good too. You can even get fresh veggies for an appetizer.

The place is very dusty and needs a good cleaning. When asking for a different serverThe manger made the customer move instead of just sending a new server over. It seems they accommodate the servers and not the customers. Food was warm and the rolls were hard! Customer service is BAD.

We have enjoyed Adam's Rib fare for many years, but in a recent take-out order, I was appalled to find that the side of macaroni and cheese was very probably Kraft's Mac and Cheese and tasted as such. It's been awhile, but we have ordered the side before, and at that time, it was what you would typically expect from a bbq restaurant. What happened?

Went to a Playoff Football game last night decided to get some Bbq. Two places open in Annapolis to grab some Smoke House food from, decided to go to Adam's Grille wow. The atmosphere was amazing large crowd people enjoying the night. The young lady greeting people was Awesome, amazing attitude. We ended up getting Carry out tired from the days event,My son ordered Pulled pork sandwich with Onion rings and their baked potato skins, my wife ordered a half a rack of Ribs with a Baked Potato and Corn Bread and I ordered Chicken and Ribs combo with Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans. Well 9 minutes ride home looking forward to a good meal.Well when we got home and started pulling out the food, it reminded me why I have not eaten from Adam's since 2013.The baked Potatoes skins were warm nice taste, my son smashed the Pulled Pork sandwich and onion rings, Half of rack ribs my wife said was tender and flavored with care my Chicken and Ribs were good.I'm going to start with the Corn Bread great recipe I would recommend and return for the Corn Bread.Everything else all I'm going to say stop being lazy. The Baked Potato was just a Potato with a lot of butter in the bottom of the bag now Sour Cream and Chives take a little bit more time with it, the Baked Beans seemed to be from Amish Market and Last but not least, the Macaroni and Cheese was Krafts Macaroni and Cheese " Krafts" I could have just bought the meats and Onion Rings sandwich and Corn Bread.I eat and have enjoyed a lot of food and when you order a meal the sides are what sets off the meat If you are going to put it on the menu take time and consider the people who want to enjoy the food they ordered, especially the Sides.Don't just go cheap, take time and prepare your sides it'll stop people from making reviews like this one."Sides Matter Too"
