Acapulco Restaurant & Grill

Husband and I were in the mood for Mexican and found this place - what a fantastic find and can't wait to go back. Located on main street in Laurel, there is street parking out front or a giant lot out back. We arrived about an hour before closing on a Saturday night, there were 1-2 other tables and a couple people at the bar - otherwise empty.There is an extensive menu to choose from, almost overwhelming with all the things that tasted good. We got a house marg, which was good, and chips and dip came. For a main course, we split the fajitas with chicken, beef, and shrimp and a side of plantains. You get about 8 plantains for the price, VERY worth it - they were delish. The fajitas were plenty to share between two people with some leftovers to take home.It was nicely decorated with enjoyable music playing but not too loud.The downside was that there was no flan available, we were hoping to give that a try. With any luck, they will have some the next time we come!

The tripe soup! So hearty and flavorful. I have nothing more to say. I need to go back soon.

This was our first time at this establishment and it was a pleasant surprise. The place is very small, but they are expanding their footprint next week. The owner was personally involved in the operation and the staff was very attentive. The food was stellar! I had the taco birria and the flavor was great and the consome' was perfect. Additionally, the margaritas and mojitos were made from real lime juice (not limeade mix). A small gem and I highly recommend coming for lunch or dinner. You won't regret it.

The sopa de res there saved my life. Point blank period. It was just bright enough, but still chock full of maduros and biiiig pieces of meat... yum. I went another time and had the fried while tilapia. BANGER. Not to mention the staff there are friendly and attentive. Convenient parking behind the building, too.

I think Acapulco has a ton of promise and will be back to try out more than just the pupusas and chips. I went very early on when they first opened to get carry out. I got there after lunch but pre dinner. They were really super friendly and the food was solid. A few misses were stale chips and they forgot the curtido with my pupusas. I expect that was just the kitchen working out the kinks. I did have an amazing horchata and enjoyed chatting with the hostess/bartender about the place. Very cute little place. As I said, I will be back to try out many of the other dishes on the menu.

Good Mexican food, kind of exactly what you would expect. I have the steak and onions and it was a good solid delivery. There's nothing special or outstanding here but if you want good solid Tex-Mex then this is your place. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and the service was great with really nice folks.

Shoutout to our local community heroes! This venue is a small powerhouse! Full of great food, great staff, and a lot of fun drinks. Juices, shakes, horchata, tequila, tea, coffee, etc! They even have a children's menu! This is just what we needed in the area here on Main Street! I hope that the venue does well and stays here. The menu has something for everyone! Delicious apps , entrees, and Ala cart. These are generous portions and the staff is personable and professional. I have tried to order something different each time that I go, because they have a fairly large selection. I have had to bring food home both times ( which the kids devour later), because my eyes are bigger than my stomach! My review for the first visit must have been during my food coma, because I didn't see it on here. But this time, I'm going to say "Gracias, Sarah!" Our meal was delicious, served well, and ambiance was on point! Eat whatever catches your attention, because it's going to be delicioso!

I love the freshness if their food. The shrimp and cream sauce us one of my favorites. The mixed drinks and margaritas are the best around.

I ordered 3 pupusas of pork. When i got home they were tortillas with nothing inside. Never again.
