Abbey Burger HDG

Wow!! Just had an amazing lunch and dining experience at Abbey Burger in Havre De Grace. The food was delicious and my server, Holly was incredibly professional, kind and attentive. Food was served very promptly and it was fantastic. I only planned to stop by for a quick bite but stayed for nearly 2 hours. The ambiance made me feel like a valued and welcomed customer. Holly made me feel like it was a pleasure to serve me and the other guests. There was about 7 or 8 of us having lunch and everyone and I mean everyone were so impressed with the food and Holly. Easily a 5 star experience. Cant wait to go back!!

My boyfriend and I were looking for something to do yesterday, to shake off some bad vibes were were experiencing after an irritating text conversation with my mother, so we decided to take a trip to Havre De Grace. We both hadn't been there in a while, and he had never seen the lighthouse. We accidentally stumbled upon an Octoberfest celebration, but the line for the German food was so long that we decided to find a permanent local spot. He was craving burgers (as usual), and Yelp suggested Abbey Burger was within walking distance.It's a cute little spot. We walked passed the door, as it's set back in a nook. Even though it was Sunday and there were sports on the televisions (and "Medium" - oddly enough), and they have sports-related specials, there were surprisingly few patrons. We were seated in the back, passed the shuffleboard table, where there are average height tables. The restaurant is decorated in loads of adorable fall decorations.I ordered a whiskey sour, and it seems that the bartender doesn't actually know how to make one of those because I basically received a shot of whiskey with an orange wheel and a cherry. Whiskey sours are supposed to have simple sugar, or a whiskey sour mix, in them to cut the bite of the whiskey. I drank it anyway, but I certainly wasn't going back for a second. My boyfriend ordered ginger ale, no ice - but got ice anyway.We had the GAME MEAT SLIDER TRIO, which consisted of venison, dry-aged beef (which I wouldn't consider a game meat), and CAMEL. When I woke up that morning I never would have guessed I'd be crossing tasting camel off my bucketlist. It was the best of the trio, too. Slightly sweet, great toppings (roasted red pepper and a sweet/spicy mayo). My boyfriend created his own burger with Kobe beef, a fried egg, special sauce, bacon and onion straws on a pretzel bun, with pickles. He HATED the pickle on the top of the bun, which were not the same as the ones inside the bun. He was so adorable when he bit into his burger and the egg yolk exploded everywhere (like a good yolk should). He was like a 3-year-old with yolk all over his face.I had the waffle fry nachos (chili, black beans, avocado, jalapenos, pico de gallo, nacho cheese, spicy crème fraiche). They were incredible. The chili is spectacular. And I realized that waffle fries won't get so soggy that they ruin any nacho leftovers. I plan on throwing these bad boys into the air fryer, when I ready to finish them off.We had a great impromptu date night.

Best place ever Love the bartenders servers and the kitchen! I can't say enough great stuff

We must've visited at the wrong time. I've been to locations in Fells Point and Fed Hill, and even once in Ocean City. Service and food were always outstanding at all locations.We popped into the Havre de Grace location midafternoon on a weekday. We stood for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us (no one was in the bar/entrance area). Service was slow, and drink options seemed much reduced compared to other locations. Our server seemed bothered to have to help us, but did so. Our food was ok. I went for the Adam Jones deal because it's always good and did not disappoint. My wife wasn't pleased with burned bacon and stale bread. Our server never checked back in with us aside from bringing the check. One woman passed by and asked how we were doing, she was pleasant, but we never saw her again.In no hurry to return to this location.

Had the western burger? and chips, wife had the build your own cheddar burger. Burgers were good, well made and cooked through the way we like them. The fries were cold though. They would have been good if served hot.l, do they lost a star there. The waitress was very personable but was also working take out orders, which slowed the service down. The dining area was okay, but the restrooms could use some lipstick and a remodel. But at least it was clean.

We enjoyed burgers here for my son's birthday. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They made our 3 year old son feel so special on his big day. We look forward to returning.

Service is a 10. Food a 5.Both my daughter and I ordered the turkey burger. In a word...nasty. tasted off. Like it was old. My daughter make your own turkey burger which was nothing special was $18! Manager removed from the bill because she refused to eat it after 1 bite. My burger was sour tasting. Wings were ok but very dry. Over cooked. Alligator bites were horrid and tasted like feet. Dessert was house made ice cream sandwich. Hard like a rock and nothing special. Only item that made a hit was rootbeer float.Skip this placeRed Robin better value and taste. I was very disappointed as family wanted local place to be our new go to. No such luck.

Nice people. Good burger. Got it to go but the place looks fun, with a big area in back that probably hops at night. Pretty chill at lunch. Remembered to get the skinny sweet potato fries this time. Ace.

Can't say enough about this place: great burgers, crispy fries and awesome nose candy!

Excellent waffle nachos. Thank you all. I enjoyed my classic Coor's Light Beer. Good atmosphere.
