abbey burger, Havre de Grace, Md

We swung by this place on our way back from NJ one day. We have had some of the food from their Baltimore location, and we were excited for some tasty burgers.The hostess was nice and sat us quickly. Half of the chairs were folding chairs that did not seen well-made. The other half were uncomfortable but seemed were actual chairs. We swapped out the folding chairs for the actual chairs and settled in. The waitress seemed annoyed with us and didn't check in with us too often. We ordered the fried pickles, a burger, the grilled cheese, and two iced teas. The food was all delicious. The iced tea was not good- it tasted like water, you couldn't even tell it was supposed to have any tea flavor. The meal was a tiny bit pricey for the overall experience, but the food was quite good. There were a lot of people sitting at the bar in the front, so maybe if we were back, we'd give that a try.

Went there on a Saturday night. Look for the large plastic burger outside the door to help you find the restaurant.Bar vibe; I left before the live music started.I ordered a Harry's Bistro Burger that was great. Adding a fried egg to a cheeseburger worked well. It was served on an English muffin, maybe not a great idea.It was a good idea to replace chips by sweet potato fries. But then I always think it's a good idea!

It has been some time since I visited Abbey at their Baltimore and Ocean City (which has since closed unfortunately) locations. So pleasantly surprised to see they were in Havre de Grace.You enter to the main Bar area and the main dining area is located a few steps through a narrow hallway (with a Shuffle Board). Has a second Bar area with TVs giving it a sports Bar feel. Happened to be Happy Hour so tried the Troeg's 420 Nugget Nectar. Hoppy IPA and enjoyed it. Ordered the Waffle Fry Nachos for sharing. This app was as delicious as I remember it. Not to be missed especially with Happy Hour pricing.Regular Angus Sliders were also part of Happy Hour specials. Tasty with Cheddar cheese. Special Sliders (Camel, Lamb and Boar) of the day were also ordered. Surprisingly, all three were not gamey. Favorites were the Boar and Lamb with the Camel not having much flavor (although the sauce gave it a slight kick)Service was attentive and friendly. Alan was moving mountains and taking care of multiple customers in the Bar area. Overall, great to have Abbey closer to us!

In town for work. This place was recommended by the local co-workers. Nice place, the burger was good, but the tots were fantastic! Crisp, hot, touch of salt.

Stopped in here for lunch. Waiter was personable and friendly. I got the whiskey burger and the house IPA beer, what a combination. Delicious and cooked to perfection.We sat out front near the bar on a high top table. The restaurant had an old tavern feel and the waiter said there was another bar out back with more seating.Definitely a great to place stop in Havre De Grace.

Great late-night stop! I enjoyed the quick and friendly service. I thought it was a bar and not fit for kids but they welcomed my kids and had menus for them. It was a little too loud and the thermostat was reading 81 degrees. When I said something to the waitress she replied "yeah that's why my shirt is rolled up" LOL. But the cold drinks kept rolling in. Loved the cr-abbey dog, good portion for the price. Kids tenders, we had enough for a second meal. My niece, who barely eats anything devoured her BLT. We'll be back again, but maybe in the winter

Great burgers, fantastic chicken sandwich. Good beer list.. entrance is a little hidden, but highly recommend

Vibe is best earlier in the evening. After that it's a little "Roadhouse-ey". There's security guys stitting out front. But the food was good.

The burger was AMAZING. Cooked just how I asked. I got mine with fries and I was not disappointed. Small entrance so you may drive right by the place. Inside is pretty barebones. Not much character, but these are the places with the best food! I will return.

Got a burger with fries, Mac n cheese and wings. Everything was really good. The build your own has an awesome selection of burgers to choose from, with Kobe beef as one of the options. Also love that their draft beer selection changes. And the selection to choose from is a good variety as well.
