92 Chicken

Forced upon threat of death to offer reviews of an erudite yet murderous clown's dull, three-act, one-man play, John Doe, a post-apocalyptic "milkman" or courier, attempts flattery, after convincing Sweet Tooth (the clown) to free Quiet (Doe's passenger) so that he might "have an audience of two." "What did you think?" Sweet Tooth asks Doe (played by Anthony Mackey). Doe resorts to flattery, stammering "It was a tour de force," only to hear Sweet Tooth, holding a machete, respond, "If you're not going to tell the truth, then I'm going to make you shut up and bleed!" The machete raises in calamitous anger towards Doe, only for Quiet to break her silence, shocking Doe, and profanely declare "It was a f******* snooze-fest," convincing Sweet Tooth to take his act on the road and, for the moment, at least, spare their lives in the SyFy TV series, Twisted Metal.Luckily, the stakes of my review, while similarly sincere as Stephanie Beatriz's Quiet, aren't quite so dire. Our first time at 92 Chicken, located at 10820 Rhode Island Avenue in Beltsville, Maryland, my wife and I ordered the following:10 piece soy garlic spring onion chicken wings 10 piece honey garlic chicken wings 2 sides pickled radish 3 orders original popcorn shrimp1 order of mozzarella sticksMy wife loved how tender the chicken was for both orders of wings, but she did not enjoy the sauces. The Panko-encrusted fried shrimp and mozzarella sticks, which did not come with marinara sauce, were fine, but they would not entice me to order them again. Although I ordered takeout, the restaurant's ambience would have benefitted greatly from a house full of charismatic storytellers (minus the clown costumes). I must conclude by pointing out that the service could not have been better, and that isn't always the case with takeout.

Ordered the Spicy Garlic chicken, and side of onion rings. Chicken was okay. But the onion rings tasted very weird, I was afraid to keep eating them, so I threw them away. It was tasted like they were cooked in bad oil. The customer service was really good . Overall I don't think I would try them again.

There is so much to say about what an amazing experience this was, but the first thing I have to praise is the staff right from the get-go. This is a family run business, and they pride themselves on their food, their service, and the way that their restaurant looks and feels to its customers. We had the most amazing server, she delighted us at every minute that we were at the table. The food is crazy. Good, the chicken is so fresh and so delicious. We tried three different types from the very spiciest down to a mild sweet onion flavor, the breading was insane. Good but the chicken was so fresh every single bite. We tried to savor it. The portions are huge and we have two more meals left out of the order we placed five stars to a restaurant. We are coming back for in two weeks.

92 chicken is in the same place where the old Yolo chicken used to be. They have a variety of different Korean fried chicken flavors as well as plain fried chicken. To place the order, I called ahead and was told it would take 15 mins. By the time I made it to restaurant, the food was hot and ready to be picked up. The garlic and hot pepper wings had a decent coating of sauce while retaining the crunchy exterior. The hot pepper did have a slight kick but too spicy, whereas the garlic wings were more mild. In addition to the wings, I ordered a side of fries and onion rings. The fries had a crispy coating on them however boy sides didn't completely fill the container. It was a bit disappointing since it is almost $6 per side however overall the food was good.

I ordered the garlic spicy chicken to-go ! It was the first time I tried it and I ordered the half portion. I thought it was absolutely delicious and had a good spicy kick to it but wasn't too hot for me at least! The chicken was well coated with the sauce and crispy and tender as I expected from Korean fried chicken.Lighting was a little dim inside the restaurant when I went in and the host/cashier was polite! I would def order again or try eating at the restaurant next time.

It's a no for me. Didn't care for the previous one either - YOLO. I thought maybe this would be different. Nope! Did a takeout order of the garlic spicy wings. They're very pricey and not worth it. The customer service was good but the food isn't. Barely ate it and was still hungry after! I won't be back!

My sister treated me to lunch at work. We rotate Fridays with treating each other. I chose 92 Chicken this time. And I was satisfied with my choice. 5 piece lunch special with jasmin rice. Drink is included with that. I believe it was 9.99 and it was delicious. Wings were nice and crispy. I wasn't able to eat right away so after about an hour, with soy garlic sauce bath mine you, they were still crunchy. Love a crunchy wing. The sauce had a little spice, just a tad bit. But that may just be me. Will definitely return to try other flavors of wings.

YOLO Chicken closed for renovations... never to return again!! It was very sad, but now we have hope! A new KFC spot has taken its place -- the chain known as 92 Chicken. Huge shout out to my friend who told me about it. So I decided to order on an app and have it delivered.... my GOSH that made it so expensive. I got only 20 wings and I don't even want to say how much I spent... but that was my decision so that's besides the point. Anyways, when the food arrived, it was DELICIOUS. We got the Red Hot & Soy Garlic, and both were pleasantly saucy, but didn't overdo it. The crunch was there, and the wings were meaty enough. But the Red Hot was not... hot at all, to me, lol. Something caught my attention, by the way... One of the chicken boxes had the CM Chicken label on it. Are both companies under the same umbrella? Anyways, the at-home experience was fine. But I am eager to go and have this in person next time. Then I can properly compare prices and explore their other options. I do feel like YOLO had more, but let's see...

92 Chicken is located at the location of the sorely missed YOLO Chicken. When you arrive, you will notice that the ambiance is not as refreshing as YOLO was. Decorations would add more character to this establishment. The customer service was friendly and warm. I ordered the Fried Chicken drumsticks, Garlic Soy wings, fries, and the Sweet wings. The order had a wait time of 20 minutes and the chicken remained hot until I arrived home. I usually stick with the wings but I especially like the fact that you can order different pieces of chicken. The fried with love chicken, was juicy and succulent. Yes, even better than their predecessor. The fries were delicious. It's safe to say, I'm out of mourning and now rejoicing. Treat yourself!
