If you find yourself in the Central Market House in York, do yourself a favor and make a beeline straight to the 2 Wild and Crabby Guys kiosk. I get it nearly every time I'm there and it never disappoints. I love to take my meal over to the seating area and listen to whatever band or artist is playing there on Saturday afternoons. Today, I got a beautiful Greek salad special with a crab cake on top and a side of crab and shrimp bisque. The salad was so yummy that I went back to get another one to-go for dinner. Just as importantly, the workers are always lovely. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Awesome staff. Place is inside central market. Place is to go only, seating is in one common area in central market. Seems other places have their own tables and chairs, I could be wrong and all are common areas. Food was great w awesome flavor maybe a bit on high price, but not sure since all was seafood. I enjoyed it!

Being new to an area means looking at and for new places to try. Doing that in a pandemic takes some time to accomplish. We saw 2 Wild and Crabby Guys at the Central Market in York, PA last spring. It looked good so we came back and brought home a quart of crab chowder. We got home and heated it up and it was wonderful! Thick chowder with lots of crab meat and corn, diced potatoes and celery and lots of cream, I think. Don't know what else is in there but it was perfect! So rich and delicious. It came with what my husband said is toast- don't know if that's what they called it- but they were slices of Italian bread which had been seasoned with Old Bay ( I'm pretty sure) and completely dried. Very good and plentiful. Based on this soup, we can't wait to get back there and try more of the great sounding foods on the menu. Wish I could share a photo or the menu, but DH got the chowder while I was shopping. This place is inside Central Market at the corner of Beaver and Philadelphia Sts. Street and garage parking available. The market is only open a few days a week do check that out before you go.

I rarely fine myself in York, but I have been meaning to swing into the market one day. Today was that day, and I am so insanely happy that I did. While I originally went in to pick up my first ever Hefty Lefty order, I walked past 2 Wild and Crabby Guys. At first, I told myself not to be a glutton. I already had what felt like 50 lbs of hoagies. I didn't need anything else.Eventually, my sense of smell took over and I succumbed to the will of my gluttonous nose. Everyone was super kind and very welcoming. Softshell crab sandwiches are on my Mt. Rushmore of best sandwiches in the world, and for whatever reason I hadn't had an opportunity to eat one in a few years. So, I ordered the Crab Squared--a sandwich with softshell crab, crab cake, lettuce, tomato, and slaw.Immediately after my first bite, I realized that I should know better by now than to question my nose. This thing was insanely delicious. The crab cake was not all filler and old bay. The softshell was meaty which is hard to find unless you are dining somewhere coastal. Biting through the perfect roll for such a sandwich that had a good pull on the outside, but absorbed the perfect amount of oil and cream from the slaw was the prequel to crunching through the softshell, and getting a hint of that crab cake. The paprika and old bay danced beautifully with the bright and perfectly citrusy creaminess of the slaw that would be brought even further to life with the suggested dash of Crystal hot sauce. I have never experienced the effects of ayahuasca, but this couldn't be far off. There are not many good seafood spots in this area. There certainly are not many good "grub-centric" seafood joints, if any. I would warn anyone who thinks that they can compete to make sure they first explore the 2 Wild and Crabby Guys menu and then go back to the drawing board. This is one of the two best softshell crab sandwiches I have ever had the honor of putting into my mouth. The cream of crab soup was also delicious. I don't mean to cast it aside, as it too deserves love and for someone to wax poetically about its deliciousness....but that sandwich, though.I would let that sandwich take my mother out for a nice seafood dinner.

We ordered 2 Philly crab cheesecakes, the best crab dip, and cream of crab soup. Sorry didn't get pics. All was delicious but some could be improved. The Philly crab cheesesteaks; my husband ate his as-is, I spread the crab cake out before eating. We agreed a little mustard would take it next level since mustard is a typical condiment for crab cakes. We also agreed if it was mixed together the meats would be more balanced (instead of crab cake on top in the middle of the sandwich). We didn't ask if they had mustard cause we were hungry lol it was our first time eating for the day. But it was still great, the best thing out of what we ordered. The best crab dip; good but feels like it's too much...cream cheese maybe? Not sure what they used but its giving cream cheese and if you eat just a bite of the crab dip you're tasting a lot of that and the crab is drowning. Cream of crab soup; they may need to check their warmer b/c it was thick, like spoon isn't sinking thick, jiggling a lil like jello. When I heated it up again later it was more runny. The thing that took them down a star was the shells in the soup. Now if it was soft shells ok, can't really avoid those very well. But these were HARD and since this was claw meat it's obvious that it was a hard shell from the claw. I expected to crunch on some shells but not hard shells. Also idk if I'm expecting too much since I'm from MD but the size, price, and claw meat was a lil disappointing. Overall though, we'd go again. The Philly crab cheesesteaks were great and they had a picture of a crab club that would be interesting to try.
