It was my first time here at Ballard Farmers Market. My family had a great time exploring the different local vendors. My only issue is the parking. We found a parking lot that was open to the public. However, the signs were misleading saying that you had to pay but the ticket machine was not working. It was only after walking a few minutes up the hill to the Farmers Market we found a side street with more parking options.

Absolutely in loved with this farmer's market and excited by how big it was! So many wonderful local farms and vendors with delicious eats and fresh produce. We came for the first time in October and the leaves changing color and falling were so pretty in this area, pair it with the gorgeous flowers for sale and it makes for a very picturesque market. This market gets pretty busy and lots of pups here too! I had a sausage breakfast sandwich which was stellar, chowder, and I've purchased sourdough bread from both Salmonberry and The Cottage both amazing bakers. Highly recommend checking out this market, if you're in the area!

I love the Ballard Farmers Market!! It's the kind of farmer's market you dream about. The variety of vendors, the organic fruits and veggies, the art, the salmon, the skincare...they've got it all. My FAVORITE vendor is Guerra's - if you like spicy - this will change your life. You'll never want normal salt again. The habanero salt is AMAZING on popcorn...and it's amazing on everything.

This is the biggest of the Seattle farmers markets (besides maybe the Fremont one, but that one is less a farmers market and more just a general street market, more focused on clothes and food trucks)The Ballard market has a good spread of produce vendors, food vendors, and other foodstuffs (honey, sauces, pickles, etc). It's a great spot to check out with a friend and wander around at with a snack / breakfast. It gets pretty packed so parking might be slow, though still doable.

I arrived at the Ballard Farmers Market a little under 20 minutes after it opened this past Sunday, 28 May 2023. There was a fair amount of people in the market and the vendors appeared ready for the day. A few street musicians, including an alto saxophone player!, were out performing along the stretch of the market. Unsure of what I wanted to get, I did a full once-through before circling back around. One of the stalls that caught my attention was for Vespucci Pizza. Looking over the menu, two pizzas sounded good for the time of day (about 9:30 a.m.), the Mario and the Fabio. I noticed three pizzas out of the oven and ready for instant order filling, so I asked the woman if she had either the Mario or Fabio out, and she said the Mario was. So I went with a slice of the Mario (tomato sauce, oregano, basil, pepperoni, and mozzarella). It was $8.00 with tax, I paid with cash and tipped a one dollar bill. After getting the slice, I made my way to a table under the bell in the Ballard Centennial Bell Tower in Marvin's Garden to eat. The slice was warm and crust easy to tear. The tomato sauce was fresh and sweet. Mozzarella blanketing the other toppings was not overly stretchy, the pepperoni still juicy, and the herbs flavorful enough to be tasted with the other pizza elements. I ate it quickly as it started to cool while I was eating, a race to the finish. I was very happy with the quality and amount of food I got for the price.Other market patrons were respectful and mindful of personal space and those eating at the tables along the market. There were informational stalls throughout the market and porta-pottis were speckled along the outside of the vendors.

Definitely a must visit if you're into Farmers Markets. It's probably the biggest I've been to. I haven't been to this one in years. In the past parking was never an issue but this time around I had to pay for public parking ($9 for 1-2 hours) at Hotel Ballard. I feel like Seattle is getting more crowded.

This is my favorite farmers market in the area and one that I frequent often! If you don't like crowds, definitely go early (as soon as possible after 9:00 a.m.). Otherwise, it is hard to see the stalls and get what you need. I feel like this market has gained popularity in the last few years so it is way more crowded than it used to be. Fortunately, they are expanding the space to one more block, which is great! Great variety of produce/eggs/raw meat, prepared foods (to consume while there), flowers, and then other goods like soap, earrings, pottery, etc. It all depends what you are seeking but some fave vendors for me are: - Spring Rain Farms (produce)- Kirsop Farms (produce)- Foothills Farm (produce) - Sno-Valley Mushrooms (literally just mushrooms but so good)- For bakeries, Salmonberry Goods, and the oat porridge loaf from The Cottage- Lia's Garden for flowers - Geni's Ethiopian for prepared Ethiopian food, Seattle Pops if it's a hot dayAll the other vendors are great too - depends what you are in the mood for :)

I arrived at the market on a drizzling rainy day, and it was a great winter outdoor activity when you want to get out for a nice stroll.Parking was easy to find as the market wasn't packed. It was easy to walk around and look at stalls at your own pace. There were lots of vendors with great varieties of food, flowers, produces and handmade products, you can spend around 1 to 3 hours here browsing. The vendors I interacted with were nice and helpful. There was a street performer playing music. The colorful flowers, produce and the good food lifted my mood up on a gloomy day. The price is fair for the quality of products they provide, the food stall was fairly priced and smells amazing.

We love the Ballard Farmers Market, though it's been a couple of years since our last visit. We love that it happens year round. We love the amount of vendors and their creativity and passion for their crafts. The space is great, as it's in the heart of Ballard. Parking can be a challenge, but it's easily accessible by bus, bicycle and pedestrian friendly - streets for blocks are closed to traffic for the market. We loved looking at the fresh flowers, artwork in a diversity of media, and tasty food galore. We were reminded of the greatness of this market on a warm sunny day and look forward to more visits as the spring and summer rear their heads.

Great farmers market. Had a little bit of something for everyone who attended. Got a cool block of mushrooms to grow at home. Love it.
