If you're planning a large party and need plenty of picnic tables near the city center, Yokuts Park is an excellent choice. One of the things I love about this park is its secluded location, nestled behind office buildings and across a bike path. However, you do need to cross the bike path to reach the parking area, so be cautious and watch out for cyclists! Now, for the downsides:The facilities are quite poor--there are no doors and no supplies available. Additionally, while the abundance of squirrels can be charming, they might pose a hazard if you're planning to run around, as they could cause you to twist an ankle. There is a newer kids' play area, but it's fully exposed to the sun, which might not be ideal during the summer months.

The park has plenty of picnic tables with barbecue and a well-maintained playground. Overall, the park looks clean and is a common venue for company or group events. The reason for the 3 stars is that the bathroom is usually not available for use. The female bathroom, at least. I usually need to have a quick bathroom stop during my runs but the bathroom has been unavailable 2 of the 3 times I stopped by.

This park has an updated play area and i like it but it doesn't get much recognition. It is hidden it's Yokuts Park the playground itself looks to be clean and kept up with like it is cleaned a few trash bins here and there and trash on the floor but it's clean at least the playground area. There are restrooms but I did not use the restrooms therefore can't give much on that, just that as soon as you park you see the restrooms and the playground. It is dog friendly a lot of dogs today as it's Sunday but like most parks there isn't the doggy bags post by the trash bins. So much room to run and play our dog loves it. There are shaded picnic areas as well as unshaded. The shaded area closest to the playground has only two tables. The rest are a few back and walking distance. My kids still love the park and with a little and another on the way we will be frequently coming to parks the park by our house isn't much so we drive around looking for parks and all.

Cool little park.Updated playground equipment. Still some sand. Ugh I hate the sand. Covered picnic area with bbqs. Walking path along the back side of the park. Restroom facilities. Large parking lot. Huge soccer field. Yokuts Park, 4 stars!

Really nice park, but as hot as it gets here, wouldn't you think someone would've thought of including some shade on the playground?

My girlfriend and I come here often for lunch. She works on the downtown and I work on the west side so this is a good "meet in the middle" place for us. There are plenty of picnic tables and the park is generally well-maintained. There are usually groups of people there (I think an "adult care" program) during the lunch hours.I know my company has held events here but I'm not sure how one would go about reserving the park for a private event.

Not really sure what the other two reviews are talking about. Thankfully I've never seen anything like that. Anyways, the park is right next to the Kern River which is nice when there is actually water in it. There is a nice bike path that goes through about half the city. There are soccer nets, covered picnic tables, bbqs, and a kids play set. Usually it is clean and empty during the week, and can get crowded and a little dirty on the weekends.

Came here for a family gathering, one of the most disgusting & dirtiest place I even been to! So unsanitary!! Do a better job to maintain this park clean! It can honestly be a nice park!
