Omg, toured the Woodlake Botanical Garden this morning. Met Manuel and Olga Jimenez who are in charge of the gardens. All I can say is AMAZING!! You can even eat the fruit. I highly recommend anyone to come and see it and bring your walking shoes and a hat. It's open on Thursday Friday and Saturdays 9am-3pm

I absolutely adored this hidden gem! My boyfriend and I were driving to Sequoia from Kings Canyon and there were a lot of road closures so we ended up taking a longer road. I'm so glad we did because we wouldn't have stopped by this gorgeous garden. He told me he found a surprise stop on the way and I was excited to see what it was. It was a downright delightful stop too. They're only opened a few days a week and I'm happy we happened to go on one of those days. There is a small parking lot out front and you're able to walk around the lake if you want. The roses are so lush and full! There were so many varieties. I had never seen some of them before. I felt like a Disney princess in this garden. The mountains in the background were especially stunning. I highly recommend checking out this cute garden. It's pretty small, so it's a great pit stop.

A very nice place to take a walk and look at nature. The plus side was there was no price for admission. It was a little confusing about help yourself to the fruit but then mention don't take it out of the park. I guess they just want you to consume it while you're there. We did have a nice time strolling through the area and it made a very pleasant outing.

This place has some stunning views at night!!! The lake is nice and heard from locals when it's full it overflows into the city :( Liked the walking trail and paths through the garden. When it's dark it's dark out there but the light on my phone helped manage our way down the paths. It's just a neat spot to hang out and see in the area.

Great place to relax. I wish the hours were extended to 5pm. Other than that it is a great place to sit down and relax. I would love to be to sit and read a book here.

This is a little gem in this cute little town. It's all volunteer maintained. I'm going back in a few weeks when the roses bloom - that will be a five star, for sure lol. The sign says there's 1500 roses and I have no doubt. I visited with my master gardener friend and she was in awe at how old some of the rose bushes and cacti are. I am not a plant or blossom person at all - I have a black thumb and kill every living thing except children, but I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through these gardens, looking forward to going back.

For this place alone, I would ask Yelp to add a sixth star. Magical, similar to touring Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, but with the most cared for and amazing plants, vegetables, and fruit-bearing trees we've ever seen. Then we come to a sign that welcomes us to eat the fruit that we see. As if Willy Wonka himself has appeared and handed us the everlasting gobstopper.Friends I jest, but this place is no joke. There is a magic Man here, but in the form of one of the kindest people we've ever met. Took time out of his day to simply chat with us, asking where we were from and again offering the fruits of the trees. If you like botanical gardens and wish to up your gardening game, don't overlook this place. You'll be passing up the golden ticket!

What a treat! This place is a beautifully kept botanical garden filled with flowers, tree fruit and vegetables. There's even a cactus and succulent garden that was just built! They allow you to pick and eat fruit while on the grounds and there's some grass area that we ate our packed lunch on. This is our second time- first was in July . It was very hot but there was far more fruit (stone fruit and berries) during that time. Still such a nice outdoor outing and it's free! Such a nice service for Woodlake and surrounding communities. Only negative worth planning for is there doesn't seem to be bathroom facilities available. There looks to be one in parking area but it was gated up. Plan ahead!

What a gem this place is can't believe it almost closed. It makes me think of the garden of Eden. You can walk through and try any of the ripe fruit. You don't even need to pack a picnic, even though it would be the ideal spot. Great for learning and school field trips.
