Wood 'N' Horse Training Stables

My boyfriend and I made a trip to Sequoia to celebrate our anniversary and we had a wonderful time trail horseback riding with Christy. We don't have any experience riding horses but she trained us before our ride to the scenic trail along the river. She is really such a sweetheart and I could tell she really loves and treats her horses like her children. I made our reservations over the phone and she kindly squeezed us a one hour trail ride in the evening even though she was booked up that weekend. She even took a nice photo for us! First payment is made through PayPal and pay the rest in cash when you arrive. Thank you for such a memorable and fun experience!

Trail ride was one of the best horse back riding experience my boyfriend and I ever had. This place really allows you to learn how to ride. Christy was out of town, so her husband Steve was our guide on our tour. My boyfriend had Cowboy and I had Dollar as our trail horses. Steve was a great guy, he talked to us the entire tour explaining to us the surrounding areas we were passing and about the horses. The highlight of our ride is when we got to cross the river and the water came up over our ankles. Water felt amazing especially on a hot day. Steve was in no hurry to get back, we took our time enjoying our ride even talked to some locals that we passed on our ride. He even offered us free Gatorade and water. And also showed us inside of the home to see all of Christy's accolades especially her many many ribbons. I highly recommend this place.

Trail Ride advertisement card at Hotel and at property location. On 6/15 and 6/16 I left two detailed messages 559-730-1996 for a return call so I could make reservations. She never called back. Visited the property, had OPEN sign and No one was in office. Left an email and no response. Very bad customer service and I lost out on an opportunity to trail ride with my two teenagers. Next closest trail rides are 2 hours up the mountain. Go there!Today 6/18 Kristy from buisness called and left voice mail that she was in Morro Bay with horses.... A trip they take once a year. She explained that her buisness has black out dates. An updated website would have been nice or explanation somehow at buisness instead of OPEN sign.

Went for a trail ride last weekend with my boyfriend who had never been riding before. Christy was easy to work with as far as providing information to get set up with a date/time and super helpful teaching my boyfriend everything he needed to know! It was a great experience overall

Thank you so much Christy, for taking us out trail riding for our Anniversary. My wife and I had a blast. We really appreciated the lessons you gave to us. It was very informative and really made me feel more comfortable in the saddle.

I took my 3 nieces here for a lesson while camping in the area. We had so much fun while learning so much about horses! It was educational and enjoyable. A perfect day for my nieces!

My daughter took riding lessons from Christy for several years. She is a very knowledgeable trainer who emphasizes safety. Christy horses are all well cared for and are very gentle.
