This is a wonderful park to visit for all ages. Hike up to the museum and visit the bison. Remember to check the website for museum hours. There is a great little animal exhibit near the entrance with alpacas, tortoises, boars, potbelly pigs, and so much more! The farm is open daily 9-2. There is plenty of grass and tables for a picnic. or sports. There is a Hart Park book store, restrooms and plenty of parking. The park first opened 65 years ago. The facilitates and landscaping are a bit lacking. However the barnyard area and museum are always nicely maintained. Give this historic park a try the next time you want to venture out and don't forget to get some good food and drink in the many eateries on Main Street in Newhall. It is a great walk from the park.

Nice little park area with a little barn area. Public restrooms were convenient! We followed the trail up to the museum but it was closed? So we headed back down? Not sure if we missed most of the trail or where that was? Wished the signage was better... lots of open grass area for picnics and pups to run. Nice spot but not sure I'd return.

This review is for the Hart Trail which is a ~1.8 mile loop. The purpose of coming here was to see some American Bisons! The views for this hike were somewhat mediocre though and only got to see the bisons at the end of the loop. Museums are currently closed and the park is open Wednesday-Sunday from 9am-6pm. Free parking!

I love this park. The museum (Hart's house at the top of the trail) is always awesome to see. I took a few of the tours of the house. The bison right before the house is always cool to look at. The trails around the park are relaxing.

This is such a pristine and gorgeous park! Truly blessed to live so close to it. There are so many things to do here! First, you have the trains and museum, there's also a campsite and there's even a trail in the backside of the park. There is free on-site parking and it's never gotten crowded unless there's a special event. Hollywood uses this park a lot too, so you'll see movie crews here every so often. My family and I use mostly the park section, but I can't wait to explore more and get to know this place more!

Absolutely love this place. It's not really your typical park since it's next to a beautiful museum. There is plenty of parking, and it's next to the bookstore, gift shop, animal barnyard which gives Saturday tours, a hike, and a building that is close so used to give tours. it's probably one of my favorites places to go... and there are plenty of bathrooms!

Beautiful day to visit the park and go on a day hike. Although I've been coming here for years, this is my first Yelp review. Lots of beautiful trails, scenery, clean, a great place to get out and exercise, in the best part you don't have to have a reservation! Highly recommend if you're in the area and want to see a little history and enjoy the park

We made a reservation to go on the Barnyard Tour. Vazgen was our tour guide and he did a great job. He was very patient, knowledgeable and thorough.

Ive tried coming twice this week and it's been closed when the hours say otherwise. An employee mentioned the park is closed the whole week but there were no signs anywhere outside. The park isn't what it used to be. With all the museums closed, there's only the small barnyard and a few trails. The park needs more to do besides that. However, It's a beautiful park and it is nice to come here to relax. Bring back heritage haunt! A small cafe in the park would make the park feel more lively. They could do so much more with the campground space.

Loved bringing my small kids here they enjoyed watching all the animals and even fed them and talked to the birds .. also loved the hike but I wish they had a "closed sign down since the beginning because we wanted to go to the museum up at the hill .. once we got up there there was a sign that was closed .. but other than that it was an awesome place
