Nice trail. Be wary of the psycho dude that owns the large log cabin style home near the parking area.

This is a nice trail up in Kernville. It's the desert and wide open so in the summer I can image it gets REALLY hot but it is a lot of fun to walk. If you were to do the whole thing I'm told it's about 15 miles. We have older pups so we only went to the river and back...all in all around trip of about 2ish miles. The water was so clear and untainted! When you get to the river to cross it you can go 1 of 2 ways. The way my pups went (by water!) or there is a cool little wood bridge. It really neat! Once you leave the river there are a LOT of big boulder to walk around and when we stopped to talk to 2 ladies they told us to watch out for snakes. There are a lot of them out here and again I could totally see them sunning themselves on the boulders but we were luck and didn't see any!! Very nice walk but remember to take a LOT of water and a hand towel!!
