Been coming here for years. But now it is gone. The place is boarded up and they are clearing out the shelves. Too bad, it was kind of a last resort.

Love this liquor store! Such a great selection of wine and tequila. During this time it's nice to visit family owned businesses and this is one I will start to visit more regularly. Came in to buy a birthday gift for my uncle who loves tequila. Bill the owner was so kind and helped me pick something different that he said would be great. He then asked if i needed a bag and I said no, but he made a good point. He said it wouldn't feel like a birthday gift if it's not wrapped. He was so kind and got me a gift bag. Will defiantly be back to buy some wine they have a great selection.

Been shopping here for 45 years.It's been closed for the last few weeks.I suspect the owner is ailing.I wish him the best.

As others have said this is a well stocked local liquor store. But there's something about this store that makes it special. It's old Bakersfield, its the real deal. The owner still works there and he's 83, and if you have time, you'll hear lots of stories about the past and the families that made this town. He is so knowledgeable about their products, if you just ask questions you'll learn a lot. The other guy that works there can tell you about every beer and liquor they sell. All the things you're looking for when you want to try something new. A little history about the brand, did you know there's not just Irish whisky, there's Protestant and Catholic brands? I love his stories about the different liquors. So check it out, ask questions, you'll be amazing your friends with how much you know about what you're drinking. To me, this place has it all over the discount and big box stores, it's worth the extra effort to shop there.

Love Love Love this place. They have a decent size selection of some great beers. Huge selection of great wines and whiskies along with some great stories from the old times. Usually have what I think is the owner working most of the time. If there is something you really want and it's with in reason he will try and get it for you. Love helping the locally owned places instead of going to the big box stores. Home Town love

Westchester Liquors is not a large store, but it is packed full of an eclectic mix of specialty alcohol products. It is located in a red brick building tucked away behind The Filling Station on the Northeast corner of 24th and F Street. The parking lot is miniscule, but there is some on-street parking available, too.If you're into craft beers, this is definitely the place to come. I picked up a banana bread beer I'd been fantasizing about ever since I saw it on a friend's Facebook page. I also picked up Young's Double Chocolate Stout, and a Belhaven Scottish Stout. Yes, I like my beer dark and full of flavor, and this liquor store can keep me going for quite a while.I also picked up a bottle of 360 Glazed Donut flavored vodka just as a novelty. I was impressed with the selection both because if was Bakersfield and because it is such a small store.I'll definitely be back when I have more time to browse and explore. The shelves behind the counter run down the entire wall and stack up so high I don't think I could reach the things on the top shelf by myself. Who knows what treasures can be found there?

Excellent place get your alcohol and lotto. The gentleman who owns it is a great guy. I love old liquor stores like these. Very clean, great location, well stocked, and of course they sell everything that a liquor store should sell. I will come back and give it five stars the day I win the lotto, lol.

Westchester Liquors had a great selection of beers that i was looking for and the person behind the counter was very helpful with recommendations.The next time I'm in Bakersfield I'll definitely be heading back.
