West Park

We spent a lot of time at this park when my kids played baseball. It only has swings and one play equipment area to play on. It wasn't my kids first choice when it was time to pick a park to play at. The best part about this park is the large pavilion for parties. I rented this in 2007 for my daughter's graduation party, we had a DJ and mobile caterer. It was amazing, I will never forget that day. Everyone was dancing, eating and having a blast. You can rent the pavilion with two weeks notice. It's $75 reservation fee and $75 security deposit. You need to leave the area the way you found it. When you pull in the parking lot towards the back you will find Tehachapi Parks and Recreation Office. You can go in there and pay for activities or rent out pavilions at one of the parks.

West Park is Tehachapi's main sports park. Taking up over 13 acres, this park is planted smack dab in the middle of a residential area. I was a little surprised as I was coming across this park. What exactly was I doing here? Pokemon hunting, of course! (Don't judge!)It was quiet on week day morning. A few kids were playing a game of softball. The residential area is nice and calm. But I imagine it jumps off if there's a Little League game. West Park is well shaded with mature trees. It also houses a skate park and newly redone activity center. Kudos to Tehachapi Parks & Recs for another well-done park!
