Small deli in a strip mall in a busy area or Porterville. We stopped here on a multi-day road trip. The restaurant was very clean and has 5 low tables and 2 high tops; all seat at least 4. We were immediately greeted by the staff. We both ordered 6" sandwiches, drinks, and shared a bag of chips. The sandwiches were made exactly as ordered. The bread was so good, and we both enjoyed the food. We ordered an Italian sandwich and a pastrami.

With a significant proliferation of sandwiche shops in the past few years choosing one had become increasingly difficult despite the fact that most have a fairly unique take on the traditional hoagie. Where West Coast Sourdough stands out is with the quality of its namesake sourdough bread. The rest of the sandwich is quite good as well with quality ingredients and a generous amount of turkey. Service was fast and friendly so I would say that if you're in the mood for a quality sandwich this place fits the bill.

How have I not made this post yet??? This is the best sandwich place ever! We live in Long Beach and have a vacation home in springville so we make sure to grab a sandwich on our way into town and our way out! Their fresh crunchy sourdough makes and sandwich incredible. I also am in love with their salads, they have 5 different kinds and they all come with a hunk of hot sourdough. Flavors are awesome, place is always clean with the A/C blasting in the heat of the summer. They play music and the customer service is always really nice! Definitely my favorite sandwich spot!

The first time I got the garlic pesto turkey it was great. It was fully loaded plus I added avocado and bacon. However the bacon was the microwave kind. I did not add the second time. The next time I got the sandwich it was actually disappointing. Barely loaded. It looked like they ran out of ingredients. The flavor wasn't there either..I would try them again since first time was so good.

This is a good place to eat at. It's good to have more than one sandwich place here in Porterville. I would say if you don't like hard bread don't eat here though. Nothing is wrong with it I just don't like when my bread is hard but some people actually like that. Cause you see when the bread is hard some people like the crunchy crunch. I personally don't like that when I eat a sandwich that has bread on it I want it to be like I'm buying a loaf of bread from the store and I want it to still be soft like that if you know what I mean: The service is good. They just kinda do the bare minimum but it's not like they are being rude or anything: The vibes of the place are good

This is a great lunch spot with fresh made sourdough bread. They even have bread that you can take home and cook at home. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are very reasonable.

What is it that makes a good sandwich. It is both the bread and the filling in the right proportions so that you do not get buried in the bread or the filling? A sandwich should blend harmony with all of its components. In this regard, West Coast Sourdough does a fantastic job. I got a BLT, added house sauce and onions, went for the 8-inch, and requested it be cut in half and wrapped separately (this was done beautifully). The order was made on line. The bread, they say is a genuine San Francisco sourdough. It lived up to the hype. The order was ready in time, the service was superb....and the sandwich was very well assembled.
